Authors: Anuj Kumar Abstract: An intelligently connected technology known as a "smart grid" makes it possible to fully automate and operate a centralized grid in real time. The integration of electrical vehicles, storage devices, and renewable energy sources, as well as ancillary services, was all supported by this self-healing grid. Advanced metering infrastructure, such as smart substations, superconducting cables, intelligent integrated communication technologies, etc., are added to this technology. This paper provides a thorough analysis of the smart grid's design, attributes, and technological advancements. It also discusses the practical need of creating this technology for the distributed power generation and Indian Power System Network. Authors: Dr. K. Srinivas, Yerroju Heman Pages: 26 - 43 Abstract: The current Power demand of both industrial and domestic sectors forcing them to shift from traditional power sources to the green sources like Solar and Wind. Distributed Generation systems using solar and wind have multi-fold benefits compared to the traditional power generation. The Electrical power drawn from these renewables sources using MPPT methods such as Perturb & Observe (P&O), and Incremental Conductance (INC) methods are examined in this paper for the industrial solar panel 1soltech 1sth-215p. The voltage produced from the solar panel is amplified using different DC-DC Converters such as Boost, Elementary Luo and Super lift Luo converters and their outcomes are estimated using MATLAB/SIMULINK and they are related using performance indices such as voltage gain and efficiency. Incremental conductance method with super lift Luo converter is observed as the best among the other approaches estimated in this paper. PubDate: 2023-01-07 Issue No: Vol. 12, No. 3 (2023)

Authors: Pushpendra Pandey, Kunal ., Rachit Srivastava Pages: 44 - 51 Abstract: The Sun's energy generated by Sunlight is a free and environmentally beneficial renewable energy source that doesn't get exhausted. The amount of solar energy that enters the earth every hour is sufficient to supply all of the energy needed for a year. In the modern period, we required electricity constantly. The usage of solar energy is intended for domestic, commercial, and industrial settings. Energy can be easily extracted from direct sunlight. It is therefore extremely efficient and does not harm the environment. In this essay, we examined solar energy, which is created from sunshine, and discussed its potential and recent developments. Additionally, the article tries to explain the various solar panel types, their uses, and marketing tactics for promoting solar energy's benefits. PubDate: 2023-01-07 Issue No: Vol. 12, No. 3 (2023)

Authors: Amzad Ali Sarkar, Sadia Sultana Turna Pages: 1 - 8 Abstract: Implementation of renewable energy sources powered by wind has its limitations comparing to the same powered by solar cells and the latter is more practical in many cases. Again using solar cells in integrated applications many times introduces unnecessary complexity and high cost compared to the utilization they can serve. This paper proposes a photo-voltaic (PV) cell that serves as power source, an inverter and the utility grid together that will work as the singular source of energy for the house. Each of the PV-cell power source and the grid is able to provide half of the required energy at any time. The system encourages shutting down of unnecessary and less important electrical loads in case there is a grid voltage outage or solar system failure. The system does not suggest options for exporting the energy to the grid; therefore, reduces the complexity in designing while lowering the investment cost. The novel proposal is neither a grid connected nor an off grid solar system, rather it will be working together with the grid power sharing a common output transformer. Authors: C. Nagarajan, Kaliselvi M., Dhanush M., Manoj M., Saravanakumar J. Pages: 9 - 18 Abstract: The power voltage trademark curve of photovoltaic (PV) exhibits has several tops under fractional circumstances; The PV model worked at most extreme power gives more effectiveness. With the goal that the MPPT is used. The current Greatest Limit Point Following (MPPT) control strategies might neglect to work. However, the particle swarm optimization (PA) algorithm is more suitable for solving many serious optimization problems. Then this paper proposes a new algorithm search method PSODE to track the maximum output power of photovoltaic arrays. A Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm for the proposed method is also presented to control the power delivery between the solar PV, converter, and IoT, which simultaneously provides maximum power point tracking (MPPT) operation for the solar PV. The effectiveness of the proposed Fuzzy Logic Algorithm methodology is investigated to monitoring and controlling the different levels of solar irradiation based on IoT. The proposed method and topology is further validated using an experimental setup in the MATLAB simulation. PubDate: 2022-12-14 Issue No: Vol. 12, No. 3 (2022)

Authors: Mohammad Faizan, Ranjeet Prajapti, Ubaidullah Rahmani, Tej Prakash Verma Pages: 19 - 25 Abstract: In this paper, different types of PWM techniques and their methodology of single-phase inverter have been introduced. The PWM technique used in single phase inverter is more advantageous than conventional inverter. This paper includes the review of modern power devices such as MOSFETs, IGBTs, etc. The conventional inverter output voltage changes according to the change in load but in single phase PWM inverter gives the steady output of voltage 230 V AC of 50 Hz to the load. This paper also takes the account of filter used in single phase inverter. The different PWM techniques give the better idea to select particular PWM technique.
