Authors:Aysun KAPUCUGİL İKİZ; Ezel ABACI Abstract: ISO 14001 specifies the requirements for creating an environmental management system. These requirements are significant because they serve as a model for how the system is managed and the organization is structured to be environmentally friendly. According to many studies in the literature, in order to improve environmental performance, strategies such as ISO 14001, waste management, reuse, and reprocessing should be integrated and supported by other systematic process improvement approaches such as lean management. Many empirical studies have shown that lean management principles and tools improve environmental management. This study aims at presenting a conceptual model for the integration of lean principles and ISO14001 environmental management requirements that can be used to assess and enhance environmental performance, one of the most crucial indicators of the tourism industry. The study focused on the processes unique to hotel management, and defined the main concepts, principles, tools and performance indicators that came out with the integrated model for these processes. The proposed model is anticipated to help increase the visibility of the environmental performance of hotel businesses in the tourism industry. According to the author's knowledge, this is the first study to assess how lean principles and ISO 14001 can be used together as an integrated strategy to enhance environmental performance in the tourism industry. Authors:Çiğdem MUTLU; Zeki BULUT Abstract: Today, with the consumption of coffee and the rapid spread of coffee shops, competition has increased between many domestic and foreign coffee shops. Coffee is no longer a drink and has become a part of socialization. To be at the forefront of the competition, coffee shops need to provide experiences that will enable customers to leave their shops with positive thoughts. The positive results of the customer's experience will vary according to the personality characteristics of the target audience. In this direction, it reveals the necessity for coffee shops to act by considering everything from their menus to their atmospheres, from their external appearance to their interior appearance according to their target audience. In this context, the study aims to examine the various experiential elements, satisfaction and re-purchase intentions of coffee consumers in Izmir. In this context, the universe of the study consists of coffee consumers in Izmir. Since it is not possible to reach the entire population, data were collected from 178 consumers through easy sampling from non-probability sampling methods. Descriptive analyses were made of the collected data and the demographic and behavioral characteristics of the participants were examined. Then the measurement model was tested and finally the hypotheses were tested by testing the structural model. It was concluded that customer personality traits associated with experience directly and indirectly affected repeat purchase intention and that these personality traits positively affected customer satisfaction. In addition, it was determined that contextual experience and customer brand belonging had a positive effect on customer satisfaction and created repeat purchase intention through customer satisfaction. Authors:Hülya YEŞİLYURT Abstract: Emotional labor and aesthetic labor in the tourism sector are considered important for the success of businesses. Due to the importance of the subject, the development of research on emotional labor and aesthetic labor in the international tourism literature has been a matter of curiosity. In this context, bibliometric analyzes were made using certain parameters of articles on emotional labor and aesthetic labor in Science Direct, Taylor & Franchise, Scopus, Emerald Insight and Web of Science databases. One of the most important parameters is the distribution of keywords. Keywords are important in guiding researchers in determining the subject trends of articles. According to the findings, it has seen that the keywords related to emotional labor have been concentrated in the words emotional labor, surface acting and sincere acting. In the study, it has been determined that emotional labor has been mostly examined in terms of emotional intelligence, intention to leave, emotional exhaustion, job satisfaction, burnout, perceived organizational support, outcomes, emotional incompatibility, customer service, job stress, emotions, service performance variables. Since the number of articles on aesthetic labor is quite low, it has been determined that there is no focus on a specific area in terms of keywords. PubDate: Fri, 30 Dec 2022 00:00:00 +030

Authors:Duygu AK Abstract: It’s aimed in this study to evaluate existing recreational potential of recreation areas in the city center of Usak as a outdoor recreation resource and for this purpose, the “Forest Interior Recreation Potential Evaluation” method developed by Gülez (1990) was implemented. Between these areas the most known and visited ones are chosen. It has been determined that Huzurpark has the highest; Korupark has the lowest recreational potential among the examined areas. The elements that have the greatest weight in the formula forming the Gülez (1990) method are landscape value and accessibility. The determination that these two factors are the most important factors affecting the recreational potential of an area has been confirmed by the results of this study. Because, among the examined areas, only the factors that make Huzurpark has a high recreational potential and get more points than other areas are the “landscape value” and “accessibility”. Authors:Ali AKAR; Osman Nuri ÖZDOĞAN Abstract: The aim of this study is to determine the structure of the factors affecting tourism demand of the thermal hotels in Aydın province of Turkey within the scope of health tourism. The study uses case study approach, which is one of qualitative research techniques. Structured interview method has been used for primary data collection, while document analysis has been used for secondary data collection. The data obtained from the managers of thermal facilities have been subjected to descriptive analysis inline with the theoretical framework in the literature. The data for document analysis have been obtained from user comments of local and foreign visitors who stayed at thermal hotels in Aydın in Tripadvisor website. The study analyzed the thermal facilities in the province in terms of supply and demand and investigated how demand has been realized. Analysis of data obtained from the managers of thermal facilities and the comments of local and foreign tourists revealed that economic factors and supply factors affect demand. It was concluded that the demand for thermal hotels located in Aydın province in the vicinity of historical, cultural and natural beauties are affected by economic factors such as price, real exchange rate, distance, transportation, accommodation and supply capacity. In addition, physical values have been found to be one of the most primary factors considered by the visitors. Thus, it could be stated that improvement of physical values might have an indirect positive impact on tourism demand. PubDate: Fri, 30 Dec 2022 00:00:00 +030
