Authors:Edgar Philip Dsouza, Dayanand M.S., Nilesh Borde Abstract: While the role of alcohol tourism has begun to gain importance in the last decade, little effort has been made to explain what influences the tourist's consumption of alcoholic beverages in a tourist destination and to establish a measurement scale for those influencers. This study followed the systematic procedures of scale development measurement recommended by prior studies. The scale development process yielded a measurement scale with appropriate reliability and content validity. The five underlying influential dimensions of alcohol consumption experience were identified as tourists' knowledge and past experience, choice of alcoholic beverage, choice of drinkscape, social setting and service experience. This is the first study to focus on scale development for measuring the alcoholic beverage experience of a tourist and modelling it to the revisit intention or the willingness to recommend the alcohol consumption or the drinkscapes. The findings and implementations of the developed scale are discussed in terms of both theoretical and managerial implications. . PubDate: 2022-12-29 Issue No:Vol. 0 (2022)
Authors:Sonia Mechiat Abstract: Today, cultural heritage has become one of the foundations of tourism activity. Wherever it is well managed, tourism investment has a real chance to develop and flourish. A rigorous cultural heritage management strategy can reduce the economic backwardness and marginalisation of historic and traditional villages, particularly those in the Oued Labiod valley in the Aurès, which are the subject of this article, through the promotion of tourism. This article aims to clarify the close link between cultural tourism and heritage enhancement and how this sector can be a resource for regional development. Authors:Manuela Barbarie, Gheorghe Lixandrescu, Adriana Bianca Ovreiu, Mădălina Nica Abstract: Geomorphosites are landforms of great scientific importance, to which humans have attributed value according to use and perception. They play a major part in the touristic development of a territory and can be included in geotouristic itineraries. The main aim of this work is the evaluation of the most important geomorphosites in the Dobrudja Plateau, making use of two of the most known evaluation methods, namely the Pralong method (2005) and the Reynard et. al. method (2007). The age of the geological structures and the geomorphologic diversity of the area o study requires a detailed analysis of the landforms of scientific, but also touristic importance. The results have shown that the Dobrudja Plateau has spectacular landforms, with high geotouristic potential (for instance Pricopanului Ridge, Dobrogea Gorges). Authors:Camelia Cătălina Mihalciuc Abstract: The world has suffered and continues to suffer considerable losses and setbacks due to COVID-19, including the Travel and Tourism sector. The decrease of tourist destinations, during and after the COVID crisis in Europe, could be an opportunity to rethink traditional tourism models, to innovate and adapt them to the current trends of tourism practice, to make them look better. So the new tourism delivery models should change tourist behavior, operator industry behavior and industry behavior as well, to become successful models of tourism practice, to revive world tourism, as traditional models have done in similar crises. Starting from these considerations, the research objective of this paper consists primarily in the presentation of the most relevant studies from the specialized literature in the period 2020-2022, which addressed the issue of the survival of the tourism industry by analyzing the challenges, sustainable strategies and opportunities of the tourism sector during the pandemic of COVID 19, and secondly to capture the evolution of the economic-financial indicators for the tourist entities in the North East Region of Romania, over a period of 3 years including the effects of SARS COV 2, on the activities in this sector. Authors:Pradeep B Kumar Abstract: In the context of growing environmental awareness and emerging environmental concerns arising out of climate change-induced issues, the tourism industry has started transforming itself by making shifts in the strategies and the kinds of services they offer. In line with this, green tourism has been emerging as an innovative area in the field of tourism. But, for green tourism to be successful in every aspect of its being ‘greener’, the guests visiting resorts and tourist places as well as the Staffs including managers at different levels engaging the guests need to be ‘green’ in their behaviour. Drawing on data from 80 randomly selected visitors at certain chosen resorts from the Wayanad district of Kerala India reveals that only 24 per cent of the tourists are Fully Fledged Green Tourists (tourists satisfying the majority of the expected green behaviours considered in the study) whereas 29 per cent and 47 per cent are moderately and marginally green tourists respectively. Most worrying is the fact that the marginally green tourists appear to be the highest in percentage. This corroborates the argument that the tourists visiting resorts and tourist places need to be further greener in their behaviour and attitude. PubDate: 2022-12-29 Issue No:Vol. 0 (2022)
Authors:Gabriela-Liliana Cioban Abstract: This paper identifies a number of possibilities for leisure in Bucovina, taking into account the tourist resources it possesses. In order to make the best use of these resources, it is necessary to develop and implement strategies that contribute to the creation of the image, the awareness of the tourist destination and the attraction of tourists throughout the year. From a methodological point of view, qualitative methods were used to obtain information on the elements of Bucovina tourism as well as the essential characteristics for choosing a new holiday destination. The information gathered during this work conveys to tourism decision-makers the idea that the new type of tourist chooses their future holiday on the basis of images, lived experiences (by themselves or other tourists), promises and emotional links between the visitor/tourist and the destination. Some studies show that Bucovina is a preferred destination for tourists even though they spend a relatively short time in the region. In order to retain them for more days, investments are needed to develop the area as a tourist destination on all levels. PubDate: 2022-12-29 Issue No:Vol. 0 (2022)
Authors:Muhammed Salim Anappattath Abstract: The thematic analysis was employed in this research to identify the factors driving overseas tourist arrivals in Kerala. It seeks to analyse the prevalence of economic and non-economic factors related to Kerala’s international tourism. The study found that two global themes viz. social, cultural and psychological factors and economic factors remain dominant among the global themes followed by tourism resources and induced arrivals. It indicates that the relevant themes and codes identified in the analysis are both economic as well as non-economic. Direct tourism resources, guests mostly from advanced economies and presence of complementary destinations in the vicinity are the top codes followed by dependence on low cost transportation for city travel, arrivals for leisure, repeat visits, sufficient government effort to make the destinations safe, seasonal arrivals and culinary tourism. Poor waste management and insufficient government role on basic facilities are the main factors on which the foreign tourists in the state aren’t comfortable. Stakeholders from Kerala’s top four destinations of the overseas tourists were interviewed and the thematic analysis was done on the basis of interview transcripts. This study is relevant as not many qualitative studies are available in explaining international tourism in Indian context. PubDate: 2022-12-29 Issue No:Vol. 0 (2022)

Authors:Camelia Cătălina Mihalciuc, Cristina Strugariu Abstract: In recent years, the Romanian state has implemented legislative measures aimed at aligning national regulations with European ones regarding the issuance and transmission of invoices only by electronic means, at least in relation to public institutions. A public system for sending them where interested companies could send invoices was launched in 2021, being in the testing phase until April 2022, in order to eliminate all problems that could arise in the process of uploading documents in the system, or to identify errors that could result from their validation. Thus, from April of the current year, companies that accepted as a payment method holiday vouchers on paper or holiday cards (which starting from July 2022 will be the only support accepted for this type of vouchers) were forced to transmit to the national e-Invoice system the invoices that were collected in this way. This paper was prepared with the aim of identifying the elements that distinguish an electronic invoice from a classic one, what such a document must contain in order to comply with the substantive conditions and to be considered truthful, what type of commercial relations are concerned and how the process should be carried out under national law.
