  • ANALISA PENGARUH VARIASI MEDIA PENDINGIN DAN WAKTU PENDINGINAN TERHADAP
           KEKERASAN DAN STRUKTUR MIKRO PADUAN AL 6061 – SERBUK BESI SETELAH

      Abstract: Aluminium atau logam yang tergolong mempunyai sifat ringan dan tahan korosi yang digunakan sebagai matriks dan serbuk besi sebagai penguat guna untuk dapat menghasilkan sebuah paduan aluminium komposit yang memiliki sifat mekanik yang bagus dan bisa di dapatkan dengan biaya yang sangat terjangkau sehingga dapat bersaing secara luas dengan macam jenis komposit lainnya. Media pendingin merupakan media pendingin secara cepat dengan menggunakan oli SAE, air garam, air dan waktu pendinginan 10 menit –  20 menit , kemampuan suatu jenis media dalam mendinginkan spesimen bisa berbeda – beda, kemampuan media pendingin disebabkan oleh temperatur, kekentalan, kadar larutan dan bahan dasar media pendingin. Penilitian bertujuan menganalisa pengaruh perlakuan panas T6 dengan variasi media pendingin suhu ruangan, oli sae, air garam, dan air dengan variasi waktu pendinginan 10 menit dan 20 menit. Presentase berat komposit yaitu 95 % alumunium 6061 + 5 % serbuk besi. Sehingga penelitian ini mendapatkan hasil uji kekerasan paling tinggi pada spesimen dengan variasi media pendingin air dengan waktu 10 menit 57,3 HRB dan pendingin air dengan waktu 20 menit 59,2HRB. Hasil pengamatan strktur mikro spesimen dengan media pendingin dan waktu pendinginan air 10 menit memiliki butir merata dan spesimen dengan media pendingin dan waktu pendingin memiliki struktur butir yang merata.

  • ANALISA PENGARUH VARIASI PENAMBAHAN Cu DAN WAKTU AGING PADA HASIL
           PENGECORAN AlCu TERHADAP STRUKTUR MIKRO

      Abstract: Beberapa Perlakuan panas merupakan proses kombinasi antara proses pemanasan dan pendinginan dari suatu logam atau paduannya dalam keadaan padat, ditahan pada temperature tertentu dan didinginkan untuk mendapatkan sifat-sifat tertentu. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan Perlakuan panas T5 pada hasil pengecoran Al-Cu dengan variasi penambahan Cu 3%, 4%, 5% dan waktu aging 2 jam, 3 jam, 4 jam untuk menganalisa ukuran butir dari struktur mikro yang didapat. Dari hasil penelitian yang sudah dilakukan didapatkan ukuran diameter butir AlCu tanpa perlakuan panas lebih kecil dibandingkan setelah diberi perlakuan panas, ukuran diameter butir AlCu setelah diberi perlakuan panas yang paling kecil ditunjukkan pada kondisi Al-5%Cu dengan waktu aging 4 jam yaitu sebesar 129,4 µm sedangkan ukuran diameter butir AlCu setelah diberi perlakuan panas yang paling besar ditunjukkan pada kondisi Al-3%Cu dengan waktu aging 2 jam yaitu sebesar 198,64 µm.Kata kunci: Perlakuan Panas T5, ukuran butir, struktur mikro

  • KAJI EKSPERIMEN PENGARUH VARIASI TEMPERATUR AGING DAN WAKTU AGING PADA
           PROSES PERLAKUAN PANAS ALUMINIUM 2024 TERHADAP SIFAT MEKANIS DAN STRUKTUR
           MIKRO

      Abstract: Pada penelitian kali ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi temperatur aging 1300 C,1600C,1900C dengan waktu aging 40 menit,80 menit,120 menit.Setelah proses perlakuan panas dilakukan  pengujian sifat mekanis meliputi uji kekerasan,uji tarik , dan struktur mikro .Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan material aluminium 2024.Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan hasil uji kekerasan tertinggi terletak pada aluminium 2024 tanpa perlakuan panas sebesar 82,4 HRB dan untuk hasil uji kekerasan terendah terletak pada aluminium 2024 setelah diberi perlakuan panas dengan temperatur aging 190° C dan waktu tahan aging 120 menit sebesar 67,8 HRB.Untuk nilai  tarik tertinggi terletak pada aluminium 2024 tanpa perlakuan panas sebesar 59,68 Kg/mm2 dan nilai tarik terendah terletak pada aluminium 2024 setelah diberi perlakuan panas dengan temperatur aging 1900C dan waktu tahan aging 120 menit sebesar 40,56 Kg/mm2.Ukuran butir struktur mikro paling besar terletak pada aluminium 2024  setelah perlakuan panas dengan temperatur aging 1900C dengan waktu tahan 120 menit ukuran butir rata-rata sebesar 60,47 µm dan ukuran butir paling kecil terletak pada aluminium 2024 tanpa perlakuan panas ukuran butir rata-rata sebesar 42,2 µm.Hasil penilitian menunjukkan bahwa aluminium 2024 dengan diberi proses perlakuan dengan variasi temperatur dan waktu aging dapat menurunkan sifat mekanis dan dapat merubah ukuran butir struktur mikro menjadi lebih besar pada aluminium 2024.Kata kunci:Perlakuan panas, sifat mekanis, struktur mikro,aluminium 2024

  • EFFECT OF ETHANOL-GASOLINE MIXES ON PERFORMANCES IN LAST GENERATION
           SPARK-IGNITION ENGINES WITHIN THE SPARK-PLUG NO GROUND-ELECTRODES TYPE.

      Abstract: The objective of this research is to investigate the effect of ethanol-gasoline mixes on the performances of a four-stroke Spark-Ignition engine. Ethanol is observed as an alternative fuel for Spark-Ignition engines and is known for producing blends with gasoline. An experimental investigation was performed on the engine is a four-stroke cycle single-cylinder, engine volume of 124,8 cm3, port fuel injection, a compression ratio of 9,3:1 , and a Euro 3 large-size motorcycle fuelled with commercial gasoline with a Research Octane Number (RON) of 95 and gasoline/ethanol mixes G25, G35, and G45 (range of 25%, 35%, and 45%). The experiments were performed utilizing spark plug no ground-electrodes type, varied engine speeds of 4000-9000 rpm. Regulated and unregulated performances and fuel consumption were measured over the carrying out of chassis-dynamometer tests. The combustion analysis, actualized by taking the pressure cycle inside the cylinder, highlights the autoregulation of the engine control unit and guarantees utilize within the same parameters of various tested fuels, with the besides of fuel injection time, which escalates with increasing ethanol percentage. The maximum power, mean effective pressure and efficiency thermal values were obtained with an ethanol-gasoline mix (G45) the position with operated at 7000 rpm. A significant decrease in specific fuel consumption was observed using an ethanol-gasoline mix of G45 (45%)

      Abstract: Mesin pencacah kayu merupakan mesin yang dapat menghacurkan kayu menjadi serpihan-serpihan yang halus. Dari bahan serpihan halus kayu tersebut dapat dimanfaatkan menjadi bahan baku beragam industri dalam bidang agrobisnis salah satunya papan partikel. Mesin pencacah kayu ini dirancang untuk dapat menghancurkan dan menghaluskan kayu pada beragam macam tingkat kekerasan kayu. Seperti ranting, batang gelondong, maupun akar dapat dihancurkan dan dihaluskan oleh mesin ini.Seiring bertambahnya permintaan kebutuhan perabotan rumah tangga yang memanfaatkan bahan baku kayu maka diperlukan teknologi yang dapat digunakan untuk membantu dalam proses pembuatan komponen rumah tangga diantaranya MDF (Midle Dencity Fiberboard). MDF merupakan jenis kayu olahan yang dibuat dari serpihan kayu yang dipadatkan.Dimensi dari mesin pencacah kayu ini adalah 1120 x 900 x 500 mm. Mesin ini digerakkan oleh sebuah motor listrik 3,7 kW 1 phase, sebagai pencacah kayunya digunakan pisau dengan dimensi 70 x 50 x 8 mm. Untuk mentransmisikan daya motor digunakan pulley 50 mm dan 80 mm 2 jalur dengan sabuk type A untuk menggerakkan poros perantara berdiameter 25 mm, pulley 50 mm dan 145 mm 2 jalur dengan sabuk type B untuk menggerakkan poros output berdiameter 43 mm. Kata kunci: mesin pencacah kayu, limbah kayu, serpihan kayu

      Abstract: Aircurtain commonly used in department store enterance, biocabinet, display refrigenerator even in operating room. Turbulance model, which used in air curtain simulation, involve numerical simulation result. This numerical simulation held to study various effect of turbulancy model in air curtain model. The characteristic of fluid flow in aircurtain is being shown in this paper. The 2D simulation of stady state air curtain flow is simulated using compressible fluid. k-' BSL dan Transition k-kl-' is suitable turbulance model which can be used in air curtain simulation.
