Authors:Dejan Bogdanović, Slavica Miletić Pages: 1 - 9 Abstract: The paper analyzes the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the exploitation and use of non-renewable natural resources. The analysis covers the most important challenges facing this industry. The paper identifies the most important impacts of COVID-19 as well as their consequences in order to rank them. The goal of ranking is to help managers in this industry to overcome the given problems in the best way. The ranking was performed by AHP method, and the paper considers all types of non-renewable natural resources globally. PubDate: 2021-12-31

The choice of the mining method of excavation for underground exploitation is a very complex and responsible matter, and support in the application of multi-criteria decision-making methods are of great importance of making the final decision. This paper will present the scientific methodology for the mining method selection by the application of VIKOR method, which gives the results of compromise alternatives. PubDate: 2021-12-31
Authors:Nataša Gojko Đorđević, Jasmina V. Lozanović Šajić, Slavica R. Mihajlović, Branislav R. Marković Pages: 23 - 28 Abstract: The aim of the presented research was to analyze ceramic material based on cordierite as a function of activation time and sintering temperature. Three-component oxide mixture was prepared (MgO + Al2O3 + SiO2 in the ratio 2:2:5). To decrease the sintering temperature, 10 mass % Bi2O3 was added to this mixture. The mixtures were mechanically activated for 5 and 240 minutes in a ceramic ball mill. Activated mixtures were sintered at temperatures of 1173-1573K. XRD method was used to determine the structural transformations of the obtained products. PubDate: 2021-12-31
Authors:Daniel Fonseca de Castro Pages: 29 - 42 Abstract: This work was carried out in the context of an internship at the company O-Pitblast, as part of creating and developing UG software. During the work, topics such as the prediction of rock mass fragmentation in a tunnel were addressed moving on to explaining the functioning of the different models, along with the entire workflow and the formulas used by each of them are addressed. The Kuz- Ram and Swebrec models were studied to predict tunnel blast fragmentation, in which case study of a Finish mine (Kittila) was used, and the modelled curves were compared with the actual curve taken from a blast. Authors:Aleksandra Tomić Pages: 43 - 56 Abstract: For investments in the field of coal exploitation in the Republic of Serbia, in the future investment analyzes show significant results, although the "Green Agenda" aims to reduce until the end of this process in 2050. New ore and mineral deposits are also emerging, which will also require the opening of new mines in the future, and the choice of investment variant by ranking potential deposits directly depends on the amount of reserves but also on high environmental standards.
