Abstract: Heritage awareness is the most important part in our society, conserving a building helps in saving so many cultural identities of different types. As the world is progressing towards modernization in every aspect, especially in building construction, people started to forget about their cultural identities and its importance, and this led to the risk of deterioration in heritage structure. So, to preserve the intangible heritage serious step should be necessary to take and the best way to save the heritage is to conserve those buildings which have the strong impact on their culture so that people started to realize the richness in the ways of culture. The City Aligarh is the place which has so many stories relate to the culture but the most important story that defines its cultural identity is Aligarh Muslim University, which has a strong impact on the society not nationally but also internationally, not only intangible but its tangible heritages are worth observing. So, to understand its cultural diversity a most unique building i.e., Victoria Gate at Aligarh Muslim university is chosen for the purpose of documentation and recommendation for conservation. The foundation of the building was laid in 1885 and the building did compete in 1922 with a clock tower at its top which is not functioning right now. This study aims to propose conservation strategies for a historical building at Aligarh Muslim University, fostering public awareness to support its preservation. The intent is to save and value our architectural heritage while engaging the community in its maintenance.

Abstract: Since the dawn of humankind, there has been a need for food and shelter. As a result, human life and behaviors as a whole have evolved. But, in recent decades the world has seen tremendous growth in terms of population and usage of resources. The rapid and haphazard urbanization has caused a major loss in parts of rural agricultural lands to build urban infrastructure. India, being the world's largest population is encountering a similar issue to land scarcity for sustainable growth. Urban Farming could be a potential solution to these problems. Urban Agriculture encompasses a diverse range of activities like building integrated systems, community farming, urban livestock etc. But specifically tapping UA with building constructions can yield additional benefits. The main objective of this research is to try to establish a correlation between urban built forms and urban farming. It will discuss, how integration of Urban Farming practices in India can be done, to create green spaces for a sustainable and self-functioning ecosystem with simultaneously growing food. It will also delve into the extra advantages of urban farming such as reducing urban heat islands, improving greenery and psychological impacts on residents. Due to the lack of awareness and experimentation done in these directions, it creates a perception of impracticality in terms of cost-benefit analysis, installation, maintenance or public acceptance. But there have been successful examples across the world, particularly in Asia. These demonstrate how the adoption of similar systems has helped in the overall growth of the economy and lifestyle of residents. Thus, this research will focus on urban farming, its types, technologies, plantations, a general overview and developing the idea of constructing urban farms in building complexes.

Abstract: The implementation of India's National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 heralds a sea change in the country's educational landscape, one that will be reflected in architectural education. The purpose of this research study is to investigate the primary effects that NEP 2020 will have on architectural education in India and to suggest new paths that can be taken to improve the overall quality, relevance, and inclusiveness of architectural education. The paper examines the issues that architectural institutions confront and proposes viable solutions to integrate innovative pedagogical approaches, technology, sustainability, and social responsibility into the curriculum. These suggestions will be helpful for Architectural education in India, will equip to meet the changing needs of the profession and contribute to the nation's efforts towards sustainable development.

Abstract: Identity of cities references a multi-sensory experience of the urban space, across tangible and intangible elements, involving building, history and memories. It is also spread across scale - local, city, national and regional. It develops over time and is influenced by several factors. The easiest way to identify the identity of a city is through its buildings, or architecture. Buildings, in turn, represent the legacy and culture of a place. But, the image of a city is a mental analysis of the way a city is experienced and navigated and not just a physical or visual element. This paper will introduce identity in the Arab world, 24 countries which share the main identities of Religion (Islam) and culture (Arab). Among these, a number have seen rapid growth and development post the discovery of oil around the 1970s. Modern planning and building practices have threatened loss of heritage, giving an impression of them being random cities. This paper will focus on the city of Muscat, Oman, a city which is visually dissimilar to other Arabian cities, where the authorities have been moderately successful in achieving a balance between tradition and modernity. They have also carefully cultivated an enhanced identity for the city through several initiatives, especially relying on traditional Omani architecture and roundabout sculpture.

Abstract: The study's goal is to utilise natural systems, structures, and procedures to create long-term answers to social challenges. The Renaissance incorporated anthropometry into architecture, elevating man's social standing. A variety of variables influence these trends, including technical improvements, environmental concerns, cultural and sociological shifts, and changing client and user needs. These evolutions resulted in the terms "sustainable architecture" and "biomimicry," which essentially means "to imitate living things." It is a novel methodology that derives its inspiration and ideas from nature. To judge the extensive architectural overreach of our times, one must look back at the cultural history of many architectural styles. Environmental efficiency entails making the best use of resources while minimising waste. A detailed analysis is carried out to establish the efficiency by generating sustainable design solutions based on an understanding of the role of bio mimicry in construction. Bio mimicry has been found to inspire new inventions in all potential areas of sustainability and dependability. Bio mimicry is an innovative method that blends cost effectiveness with long-term viability. This is now a proactive strategy to bettering the built environment's sustainability. As a result, building efficiency in terms of cost, energy demand, and design is feasible.
