Authors:Timur İnan; Samah Noaman Sahi Sahı Abstract: Quality in industrial processes has become increasingly important and cost reduction and process optimization are becoming increasingly necessary Quality control brings increased production and even increased profits for a process. It can be said, then, that it is the most important metric when it comes to production. It is extremely difficult to have a 100% defect-free manufacturing process. One of the industrial processes that has received such attention regarding defects is the weaving process. The present work will make a global study on Machine Learning techniques and also on Wavelets. This study may serve as a basis for future academic work. The application built in the present work will also serve as an example of how a computer vision system can vary from the classifier algorithm used to the feature extraction technique, which in this case, will use the Wavelet Transform. In this work we Survey the state of the art in methods of recognizing defects in fabrics. We will also Create the database, as well as the set of images to be used. Extract information from the image with the Wavelet Transform. Test different classification algorithms in order to find the best answer for this problem. Authors:Mustafa Al-asadi; Oğuz Karan Abstract: Monopole Microstrip Antennas (M-MSAs) are widely used because of their price, ease of manufacturing, and compact size, making them ideal for portable applications. Nowadays, Ultrawide Band (UWB) technology, used in wireless applications, relies on this antenna. The UWB frequency range is 3.1 to 10.6 GHz, allowing low-power wireless applications such as wireless music, personal localization, radio frequency recognition, radar, and HD video dissemination. However, this frequency band's broadness increases interference. This contribution research formulates simulates, and optimises a modified small-square M-MSA that meets UWB technology's huge bandwidth requirements. A square radiated patch, a dielectric material with a thickness of 1 mm and 4.7 relative permittivity, a partly ground plane printed on the patch's face, and a coplanar waveguide feed make up the M-MSA design. The M-MSA design is modified to reduce the patch's bottom corners and change its proportions to enable compatibility with the UWB complete band. A U-shaped aperture on the patch should be etched to produce a bandgap in UWB frequencies, reducing interference. Filling the aperture with graphene allows bandgap tunability. The graphene's bandgap dissipates with DC voltage, but without biassing, its high impedance restricts aperture current flow. The bandgap's effect is seen at 3.87-4.85 GHz. After simulation and tweaking, gain and efficiency improved significantly. The bandgap region, which was chosen to reduce interference from military fixed communications, mobile communications, unmanned aerial vehicles, short-range radio links, satellite communications, and the low band of 5G, also exhibits a significant increase in attenuation and gain degradation. Authors:Saif Al-jumaili Abstract: Over the last few decades, neuroimaging, particularly magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), has played a significant sessional part in studying brain functions and diseases. MRI images, combined with unique ML approaches and developed tools during these years, have opened up new opportunities for diagnosing neurological illnesses. However, due to the apparent symptoms that are similar to each other, brain illnesses are regarded as difficult to precisely detect. This research examines a newly developed algorithm (ParkinsonNet) to classify Parkinson's disorder into two unique classes which are Control (healthy) and Parkinson's (PD), this method is one of the deep learning approaches, Convolutional neural networks (CNN). CNN is one way that may be used to classify a range of brain illnesses such as Parkinson's. We employed a freshly constructed CNN technique from scratch, and we got 97.9% accuracy which is considered outstanding compared with recently published articles using the same dataset PubDate: Sun, 31 Dec 2023 00:00:00 +030
PubDate: Sun, 31 Dec 2023 00:00:00 +030
Authors:Ece Bülbül; Ruşen Yamaçlı Abstract: It is necessary to take measures in all sectors against the global climate change problem, which has increased in recent years. These measures are; especially in the construction sector, where energy and resources are spent a lot, it should be in the planning part of the design, construction and post-construction management phase of the building and the urban environment. More attention should be paid to sustainability criteria (economic, environmental and social) in stadium structures, which are mega structures and have many examples due to the importance given to football abroad and in our country. Within the scope of this study, the examples of stadiums abroad that attach importance to sustainability criteria are examined, the current situation of Başakşehir Fatih Terim Stadium and Eryaman Stadium, which are located in Istanbul and Ankara, which have the highest population in our country, and what needs to be done to become sustainable stadiums are mentioned. As a result, a road map has been put forward for the sustainability of the existing stadiums in Turkey and what needs to be done in the design and construction of the new stadiums, based on these two examples examined. Authors:Behzat Gökçen Demir; Ali Koray Özdoğan, Akın Akbulut Abstract: In Anatolian lands, natural stones have been at the forefront in the construction of living spaces and economic activities from past to present. Travertine is one of the most important rocks among the rocks considered as natural stones. Travertines, one of the oldest natural stones used in Anatolia, are also very important in terms of tourism and culture. In particular, Denizli travertine, which has a geographical sign, is a good example of this situation. While the travertines that are still being formed in the Denizli region are in the position of a cultural, historical, tourism and promotional ambassador, the geologically older ones are very important for the natural stone sector. Apart from Denizli region, Kütahya, Ankara, Karabük, Kayseri and Sivas regions are important production areas in travertine mining. Economically utilised travertines are divided into two as scientific and commercial travertines. Commercial travertines are generally young aged limestones. Travertine production in Türkiye has increased in recent years compared to the past years. In terms of quantity and value in terms of exports, block and processed travertine have significant proportions in natural stone exports. In this study, the importance of travertine for Türkiye is emphasised by giving information about its properties, mining, history and usage. PubDate: Sun, 31 Dec 2023 00:00:00 +030
