           Audial

    • Authors: Karina Simarmata, Erni Setyowati
      Pages: 1 - 9
The noise standard level based on the Decree of the Minister of Environment No. 48 of 1996 that the train station is 60 decibels. The purpose of this study is to determine the distribution of noise. The method used is a quantitative method by taking in the field and comparing the calibrated Sound Level Meter and Sound Meter Application within 3 minutes from the arrival of the train until the train departs. The results of the noise level of the five interiors of Semarang Poncol Station show that the noise level is greatest in the hall of Poncol station because the room is semi-open to make the sound that enters the room is very disturbed, and the noise level of the five rooms above the standard limit of the noise level. So it can be concluded that the room at Poncol Station experiences more noise than it should. The noise in the interior area of the station can exceed the specified comfort limit because of the different sound sources. Keywords:  Interior; Noise Room; Noise Source; Pancol Station

  • Pengaruh Personal Space Terhadap Kenyamanan Belajar Ruang Studio Gambar
           Arsitektur Universitas Hasanuddin

    • Authors: Shapardi Kahir, Yusriadi Yusriadi
      Pages: 10 - 26
Abstract: Abstrak_ Studio gambar adalah suatu ruang dimana mahasiswa menyelesaikan mata kuliah inti desain arsitektur pada jurusan arsitektur. Kata kunci:  Personal Space; Proksemik; Konsentrasi; Jarak Personal   Abstract_ Abstract_ The drawing studio is a space where students complete core architectural design courses in the architecture department. The studio is a space for carrying out various activities such as discussions with fellow participants and lecturers, making programs and plans, conducting precedent studies, presenting images, looking for ideas, and making designs. This research aims to identify students' personal space in the drawing studio room of the architecture department at Hasanuddin University and its influence on study concentration. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. A purposive sampling strategy was used to collect data through questionnaires and interviews. Descriptive analysis method to analyze data regarding students' personal space in learning. There were 64 people in the research sample, namely 30 people from the 2019 class and 34 people from the 2018 class. The research results show that students' personal space is divided into 4 distance groups: intimate distance, personal distance, social distance, and public distance. Situational factors, individual activities, personality, gender, and age are things that influence personal space. Personal space has an influence on concentration in studying in the drawing studio room. The close proxemic distance makes it more difficult for students to carry out activities so concentration decreases, while the longer proxemic distance makes students more free to carry out activities and can concentrate better. Distance between individuals is one of the variables that influences learning comfort. Keywords: Personal Space; Proxemics; Concentration; Personal Distance

           Aceh

    • Authors: Wijayanti Suhartina, Atthaillah Atthaillah, Rinaldi Mirsa, Muhammad Iqbal, Badriana Badriana
      Pages: 27 - 36
Abstract: Abstrak_ Keberadaan rumoh Aceh ditemukan semakin langka, terutama rumoh Aceh yang masih digunakan sebagai hunian masyarakat. Abstract_ Abstract_ The presence of traditional Acehnese houses, known as rumoh Aceh, is becoming increasingly scarce, particularly those that are still used as community residences. Currently, rumoh Aceh can be classified into three categories: those that are still inhabited, those that are abandoned, and replicas. Replicas of rumoh Aceh can be found as venues for cultural activities during certain times or used as museums. This research examines the use of rumoh Aceh as residences, as well as those that are no longer inhabited and replicas that are used as museums. The study aims to ensure the originality of rumoh Aceh by observing its structural elements. It is important to note that in the future, rumoh Aceh may only be found as replicas. The aim is to observe the quality of the replicated object compared to the non-replicated Aceh rumoh object. The survey method and visual documentation were used to observe these elements based on the literature. The study compared the structural elements of non-replica houses with those of replica houses. It was discovered that the replica of rumoh Aceh, specifically rumoh Cut Nyak Meutia, lacked some essential structural elements. This finding is significant, particularly in the context of preserving the values and completeness of cultural artifacts for replication efforts. Keywords:  Rumoh Aceh; Structural Elements; Cultural Artefacts; Replica House; Traditional House.

    • Authors: Nini Apriani Rumata, Citra Amalia Amal, Siti Fuadillah A Amin
      Pages: 37 - 46
Kata kunci: Ruang Terbuka; Permukiman; Ruang Publik;  Kawasan Padat; Makassar   Abstract_ The dense area in Pattingalloang Village and Gusung Village is one of the settlements in Makassar City which has a very high-density level. The condition of the area that is very dense with buildings causes open space that functions as a space for social interaction in this area to be very narrow and even tends to be absent. The limited public space in this research location then has the potential to form a spontaneous public space so that the location of the open space is not by its function, for example, the use of roads as public space so that conflicts arise between spaces. The purpose of this research is to identify open space problems in the Pattingalloang and Gusung Urban Village Solid Settlement Areas and analyze the factors that form open space in the Pattingalloang and Gusung Urban Village Solid Settlement Areas. This research is descriptive research with a qualitative and spatial approach. The data collection technique used is field observation and conducting unstructured interviews. This data collection is based on Behavior Setting which is reviewed from various activities at the research location. The results of this study state that the problem of open space in the study area is territorial change, private space becomes public space and public space becomes private space. Factors that influence and shape the formation of open space Keywords:  Open Space; Settlement; Public Space; Dense Area; Makassar

  • Konsep Reconnecting With Nature pada Desain Hospitality Banyan Tree Escape

    • Authors: Siluh Putu Natha Primadewi , Ida Bagus Idedhyana, Made Mariada Rijasa
      Pages: 47 - 62
Abstract: Abstrak_ Banyan Tree Escape berada di Payangan Gianyar Bali, memiliki konsep desain yang unik “no wall, no door” yang jarang ditemui pada properti hospitality lainnya. Kata kunci: Arsitektur Berkelanjutan; Reconnecting with Nature; Desain Hospitality   Abstract_ Abstract_ Banyan Tree Escape is located in Payangan Gianyar Bali and has a unique design concept "no wall, no door" which is rarely found in other hospitality properties. This hospitality accommodation is designed to establish a harmonious relationship between the owner and guests and re-establish the relationship between humans and the natural environment, resulting in friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere. The hospitality industry requires the presence of nature, repeated and continuous engagement with nature is very important, creating an atmosphere of relaxation that can reduce stress and provide a new sense of healthy wellness. Incorporating nature and culture into property design in the hospitality industry also aims to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. This research aims to examine concepts that can be applied to achieve a connection with nature and sustainability goals in hospitality design. The descriptive qualitative method of case study is used in this research, guided by the concept of Reconnecting with Nature for Sustainability, followed by Biodiversity Inclusive Design analysis, Nature Climate analysis, and Vernacular Lifestyle analysis. The results show that the concept of the Biodiversity Inclusive Design approach is carried out by maintaining the condition of biodiversity, imitating the characteristics of the original/local habitat (the original habitat of Buahan Village), and the application of biophilic architecture. The concept of natural climate is applied with a combination of tropical architecture and local architecture. The Vernacular Lifestyle concept is carried out by adopting the cultural context and traditional Balinese architecture in responding to routine and boredom into relaxation.            Arsitektur

    • Authors: Mufliha Mukhtar, Agung Dwiyanto
      Pages: 63 - 75
Kata kunci: Efisiensi Ruang; Kantor Sewa; Kebutuhan Ruang; Biro Arsitektur Pemula   Abstract_ Architecture firms in Makassar City are generally dominated by entities that do not yet have a physical office to reflect their professionalism and credibility. In the context of the city's rapid growth, the need for an office that demonstrates professionalism becomes increasingly crucial. Rental offices are one of the solutions for architectural firms that do not yet have a representative physical office. Still, currently, the rental offices available in Makassar City cannot meet this need, despite its importance. Meanwhile, there are no standardized criteria for the type and size of space requirements of architectural bureau start-ups' rental offices, so research is needed to identify the necessary number of space units and the most dominant space requirements for architectural bureau start-ups in Makassar City. This research aims to identify how many space units and what space needs are most dominantly needed by a beginner architectural bureau. A mixed research method through literature review and questionnaires was used to gain a holistic understanding. The results showed that the priority space required by a start-up architecture firm with a capacity of less than ten people and an area of approximately 34.25 m2 includes a director's room, administrative staff room, principal architect room, and studio room. At the same time, other needs are still considered in the rental office design as shared facilities.  Keywords: Space Efficiency; Rental Office; Space Requirement; Beginner Architecture Firm

Kata kunci: Arsitektur Joglo Bucu; Interpretasi; Ponorogo; Makna Ruang   Abstract_ The existence of Javanese architecture is an architectural figure that is present in Javanese cultured society, and from generation to generation and has meaning both symbolically and architecturally. Javanese architecture is not just a building, but a physical form that has symbols, architectural details that contain interpretations of meaning in them. The issue of this research arises in relation to Javanese architecture in Ponorogo, namely the Joglo Bucu architecture (a type of Javanese house in Ponorogo) which has different height proportions from Joglo in general and has transformed into a more modern one in terms of materials, namely on the side (wall) enclosures. . This research aims to understand that architecture is a relationship between form, function and meaning, starting from the top (roof), side (walls) and bottom (floor). This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method which is more about interpreting the meaning of the Joglo Bucu architectural space in Ponorogo with its architectural elements, namely Griya Ngajeng, Griya Wingking, Pawon. The results of this research are that the Interpretation of the Meaning of the Joglo Bucu Architectural Space in Ponorogo is that it can show a house with upper middle social status, because it has a wingking house and a ngajeng house. Joglo Bucu also has a pawon which only has functional meaning. It can be developed in further research that Ponorogo traditional houses have differences, namely the structure and typology of each region. • Optimalisasi Pembayangan Fasad dengan Secondary Skin: Pendekatan
Arsitektur Tropis pada Desain Balai Besar Wilayah Sungai Bengawan Solo

    • Authors: Arif Taslim , Ratih Widiastuti
      Pages: 93 - 110
Therefore, the use of sun shading on the building façade is important. In other hand, Balai Besar Wilayah Sungai Bengawan Solo is one of infrastructures for flood management and control in the Bengawan Solo River area. The current building design uses many wall openings without being equipped with sun shading, allowing the high intensity of sunlight entering the room. Due to this issue, a study was carried out to identify the shading effect on the façade design of Balai Besar Wilayah Sungai Bengawan Solo. Tropical architecture concept was used as a design approach. Simulation method used SketchUp was conducted to compare the effect of before and after secondary skin applied on the façade. The simulation results showed the existing building design had potential to enable high sunlight entering the room. The exposed area to the sunlight was 4 m2 – 11 m2 in the morning and 14 m2 – 31 m2 in the afternoon. While the results after secondary skin was applied on the façade showed a decrease in the area that exposed to the sunlight. It became 2 m2 - 3 m2 or decreased around 33% - 57% in the morning and 3.5 m2 - 8 m2 or decreased around 50% - 60% in the afternoon. Thus, it proves applying secondary skin on the building façade is effectively reducing the intensity of sunlight that enters the room.                          Keywords:  Secondary Skin; Shading Optimization; Shading Simulation Method; Tropical Architecture

    • Authors: Nur Lailatush Shiyam, Previari Umi Pramesti, Ratih Widiastuti
      Pages: 111 - 121
Kata kunci: Akustik Ruang; Kebisingan; Material Akustik; Software I-Simpa V.I.3.4; Waktu Dengung   Abstract_ The acoustic quality in the space is one of the important parameters to determine the comfort and health inside a building.  To create a proper acoustic design, the function, environment, and noise around the rooms needed to be considered. Hall as one of the public facilities also needs a proper acoustic design for its interior space. Therefore, a study to identify the acoustic quality of the hall was conducted. Two methods were adopted in this study i.e., field measurement to collect existing acoustic data and computer simulation using I-Simpa V.I.3.4. Data showed the decibel value of sound source is 77.5 dB. The results from the simulation using various acoustic materials i.e., gypsum equipped with sound isolator as wall material, glass fiber panels as ceiling material, curtain, and wood as floor material can reduce the noise from the environment around the building between 34.6 – 46.4 dBA and reverberation time (RT) between 1.00 – 0.49 second.
