Authors: David Nicolle Nottingham University; Nottingham, UKDavid Nicolle was born in London in 1944. He worked for BBC Television News from 1963 to 1967. Having travelled widely in the Middle East, David Nicolle transferred the BBC Arabic Service where he worked as a topical-talks writer from 1967 to 1971. In 1972 he returned to university, eventually receiving a PhD from Edinburgh University.From 1983 to 1987 Dr. Nicolle lectured in art history at Yarmouk University, Jordan.
