  • THE DYNAMICS OF SOCIAL ECONOMIC LIFE OF MOTOR RICKSHAW DRIVERS AMID THE
           DEVELOPMENT OF ONLINE TRANSPORTATION IN MAKASSAR CITY

      Abstract: This study aims to (1) describe the dynamics of the socio-economic life of motorized rickshaw riders in the city of Makassar (2) find out the problems caused by online transportation to the life of online transportation in Makassar City. The type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection techniques in this study were using the methods of observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed with qualitative descriptive techniques.  The results showed that (1). The description of the dynamics of the socio-economic life of motorized rickshaw drivers in Makassar City, namely work, income, education and family. The work is categorized as "very good" because for the motor rickshaw rider itself, it requires ability/skill, motivation, and quality of work. Education is categorized enough in terms of education level and family education. income is sufficient to meet daily needs even though it is mediocre, namely basic income, additional income and overall income. families of motorized rickshaw riders live in harmony because of good family members, good quality time and good responsibilities (2) The problem caused by online-based transportation on the dynamics of the socio-economic life of motorized rickshaw riders in Makassar City is that the increase in poverty is categorized as high because it can decrease revenue and loss of passengers. The number of unemployed is increasingly being categorized as "very high" because it can eliminate jobs and make finding new jobs for motorized rickshaw drivers. Social conflicts have occurred, namely the seizure of the base but the involvement of the security forces is not prominent in handling conflicts that occur between motorized rickshaw riders and online transportation.

  • THE EFFECT OF THE EXISTENCE OF SAND MINING ON DAMAGE TO THE SETTLEMENT
           ENVIRONMENT IN LAJULO VILLAGE, BARRU DISTRICT, BARRU REGENCY

      Abstract: The research was carried out with the objectives of: 1) knowing the description of sand mining on settlements in Lajulo village, Barru district, Barru district. 2) Knowing the description of the residential environment due to sand mining in Lajulo village, Barru district, Barru district. 3) Knowing the effect of sand mining on the residential environment in Lajulo Village, Barru District, Barru Regency. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative. The variables of this study consisted of Sand Mining (variable x) and Environmental Damage (variable y). Data collection techniques used observation, questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics and inferential analysis. Based on the research, it is known that: 1) sand mining (X) in Lajulo Village, Barru District, Barru Regency is included in the "Medium" category. By using the variables of social conditions and economic conditions . 2) Based on the results of research and analysis of environmental dredging (Y) in Lajulo Village, Barru District, Barru Regency, it is included in the "High" category. By using the variables of the physical environment and biological environment.

  • SOCIAL STRATIFICATION IN GUNTURU VILLAGE, HERLANG DISTRICT, BULUKUMBA
           REGENCY

      Abstract: This study aims to: 1) Find out the description of social stratification in Gunturu Village, Herlang District, Bulukumba Regency. 2) Knowing the form of social interaction between the karaeng group and the ata group in Gunturu Village, Herlang District, Bulukumba Regency. The type of research used by the researcher is descriptive qualitative. The data collection techniques through, documentation, observation, and interviews. The data collection process carried out by the researchers included: data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed 1) The description of social stratification in Gunturu Village, Herlang District, Bulukumba Regency had several indicators, namely wealth, power, honor, and knowledge. . Wealth is categorized as "appropriate", because according to the results of interviews that society really views a person's economic level, as for that it still exists today. Power here is categorized as "appropriate" because people really see a person's power and see the origin of descendants. Honor is categorized as "appropriate" because society also really views someone according to their descent. Science is categorized as "appropriate" because a person's level of knowledge and degree can make a person's strata different according to the views of society again. 2) the form of social interaction between the people of the Karaeng group and the ata group consists of cooperation, competition and dispute, cooperation is categorized as "appropriate" because the community is still working well together and helping each other is still well established, competition is categorized as "appropriate" because the community in this case there is no competition, the community lives in peace, and the dispute is categorized as "inappropriate" because the community in this case there is no competition, while the community is aware of their respective positions, as for the conflicts that exist only in conflicts with oneself that are not cause division.

  • GEOLOGY OF PONELO REGION AND SURROUNDINGS, NORTH GORONTALO REGENCY

      Abstract: The research area is one of the islands in the District of Ponelo Islands, North Gorontalo Regency, Gorontalo Province. This study aims to determine the geological conditions of the area using the geological mapping method. The results showed that the geomorphology of the study area was divided into 3 units, namely Lava Flow Hills, Denudasional Hills, and Marin Plains. The stratigraphy of the research area is divided into 5 unofficial units sorted from oldest to youngest, namely Sandstone Unit, Conglomerate Unit, Porphyry Andesite Unit, Basalt Lava Flow Unit (Late Pliocene-Early Pleistocene), and Coastal Sediment Unit (Recent age). The geological structures observed were Shear Fracture, Tension, Sheeting Joint, and Columnar Joint. The geological history of the research area starts from the Late Pliocene to Early Pleistocene where the Lokodidi Formation and Pinogu Volcano Formation were formed, resulting in sandstone and conglomerate units (Lokodidi Formation), porphyry andesite units and basalt lava flow units (Pinogu Volcano Formation). Then the alluvial deposition process which is still ongoing today is the result of weathering of rocks in the research area.

      Abstract: This study aims to examine the effect of learning strategies, learning motivation, infrastructure on student achievement in SMP Negeri 2 Campalagian, Polewali Mandar district. This study uses quantitative methods using primary data obtained from questionnaires. The population in this study were teachers of SMP Negeri 2 Campalagian, Polowali Mandar Regency. The number of samples in this study was 39 respondents. The analytical tools used include validity and reliability tests, normality tests, multicollinearity tests, heteroscedasticity tests, multiple linear regression analysis tests, f tests, t tests, and R² tests. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that: the variables of learning strategy, learning motivation, and infrastructure have an effect on student achievement at SMP Negeri 2 Campalagian, Polewali Mandar Regency.
