  • Kaum Biseksual dan Problematikanya di Indonesia

    • Authors: Hamirul Hamirul
      Pages: 65 - 76
ABSTRACT: “Bisexuals and Their Problems in Indonesia”. This study aims to determine the cause of a person being bisexual; and this happens to adults who already have a partner. This research is a case study with a qualitative approach. The Author also successfully interviewed 13 Respondents or Informants, bisexual people, aged between 30-65 years in big cities in Indonesia. By using phenomenological approach and descriptive explanation, the results of the study indicate that the bisexual phenomenon is caused by the parents' upbringing for their children; bad past experiences, such as sexual harassment or victims of sodomy; environmental influences that also shape them to be bisexual; and want to get more satisfaction with their sexual fantasies that are not found in their official partners. The study also found that social media contributed to exploring the buried desires of those who became bisexual; and a massage or sauna as a place for introductions to same-sex sexual relations. In the status of relationships between bisexuals there are two types, namely bisexuals who have a commitment to remain loyal to one partner of the same type; and bisexuals who have no commitment, in the sense of just having fun and often mutually in dealing with same-sex couples. The problem of bisexuals must be understood in depth, examined the causes and factors that influence it, and sought ways to overcome and wise solutions by policy makers in the fields of education, religion, social, health, and even state politics.KEY WORD: Bisexuals; Social Phenomena and Problematics; Parenting in Education.About the Author: Dr. Hamirul adalah Dosen STIA (Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Administrasi) Setih Setio, Muara Bungo, Jalan Setih Setio No.5 Kelurahan Pasir Putih, Kecamatan Rimbo Tengah, Kabupaten Bungo 37214, Provinsi Jambi, Indonesia.
