Authors:Ians Aprilo Abstract: The main problem that arises is that service is only considered as the beginning of a match. Serving is a very important thing in a match because serving is a fast way to get points. One important part of the tennis serve is the skill of coiling or body rotation. The purpose of this study was to analyze the increase in coiling exercise tennis spin serve. The research method used was quantitative descriptive with 30 South Sulawesi beginner tennis athletes aged between 14-16 years as subjects. The research was conducted at the Tennis Court, Faculty of Sports Science, Makassar State University, for 8 weeks, in the first week the coiling tennis spin serve pretest was carried out and in the last week the coiling tennis spin serves post-test was carried out which was analyzed using Kinova. This coiling training is carried out a frequency of 3 times per week. The results of this study are an average increase of 1,267. So it can be concluded that coiling exercise can improve tennis spin serve in South Sulawesi novice athletes. PubDate: 2023-07-24 DOI: 10.15294/active.v12i2.66197 Issue No:Vol. 12, No. 2 (2023)

Authors:Rio Wakhid Islam Abstract: In the era of society 5.0, where teenagers are currently side by side with technology, it is one of the supporting factors for reduced physical activity. Children who spend a lot of time with technology make activities less and less. If this continues, it will greatly affect the level of physical fitness of the children. The quality of fitness is also very influential on the health of children. In addition, the more advanced times make children no longer recognize their culture. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of traditional sports on the interest in learning Physical Education and Recreation in junior high school students in Jayapura City. This type of research is quantitative. Quantitative Research is research where research data is in the form of numbers. The factors influence obesity is low physical activity, related lifestyle due to technology development. Physical activity for adolescents is a strategy to prevent non-communicable diseases through weight loss mechanisms. The study design is were used a cross sectional design. The sample size is 115 samples. Sampling was collected by systematic random sampling. The study research variables include physical activity variables divided into two indicators are learning activities and recreational activities. BMI variables divided weight and height. Data analysis was carried out by analyzing linear regression tests to see predictions of increased physical activity. Average of physical activity 743.21 ± 505.37, and BMI is 22.30±4.89 Learning activities had a dominant impact on BMI compared to body weight and height. Increasing activity for 209 minutes have been predicting weight loss 1 kilo in a week. Increasing physical activity for 236 minutes every day can reduce BMI by 1 point. The Learning physical activity significantly reduces body weight and BMI but does not significantly reduce body height. Cognitive decline will be a serious threat to the quality of life of the elderly. The purpose of this study was the effect of physical fitness gymnastics on cognitive impairment in the elderly for gymnastics participants in the Padang Sappa field, Ponrang sub-district. The design of this research is a qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques of unstructured interviews or free interviews where the researcher does not have to use interview guidelines that have been arranged systematically and completely. The approach taken is a phenomenological approach that brings to experience, by exploring and understanding the object of research. Sample selection is based on age 55 and over according to the World Health Organization (WHO). The results of this research show that the elderly who joins the gymnastic are still capable of following, asseting, and remembering the movements from the instructor, and from the interview results show that the elderly still have good responses which show that the cognitive function is still good in doing activities and thinking. Authors:Andi Muh. Yusuf, Rasyidah Jalil, Imam Pribadi First page: 111 Abstract: The purpose of this research is to restore the athlete's physical condition as soon as possible after doing sports activities. This is a Quantitative research, which is a research model that emphasizes the analysis of numerical data (numbers) that are processed using statistical methods in each result obtained. Based on the results that have been done, it shows that there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest in the physical activity of the active group and the passive group. The description value of the average active pretest is 47.00 to 57.14 in the posttest and the sig.0.00 value <0.05. The mean value of the passive group pretest is 40.25 to 52.50 in the posttest and the sig. 0.28 < 0.05. Normality test value of 0.200 > 0.05, so it can be concluded that the active group and passive group data are normally distributed. Sig value, 0.30 > 0.05, it can be concluded that the physical activity testing of the active group and passive group of futsal athletes is homogeneous. The sig value of the active T test is 0.00 <0.05 which means that Ho is rejected, and the passive value is 0.28 which means Ho is accepted. Thus it can be concluded that there is an influence on recovery when doing physical activity in athletes. PubDate: 2023-06-30 DOI: 10.15294/active.v12i2.67845 Issue No:Vol. 12, No. 2 (2023)

Authors:Rif'iy Qomarrullah, Kurdi Kurdi, Lestari Wulandari S First page: 138 Abstract: The purpose of this research is to study and analyze traditional Javanese benthic games amidst digital modernization. This is because playing plays an important role in the emotional, cognitive and physical development of children. The writing method used is literature study to find answers to problematic questions using document databases, social reality from relevant sources such as social media and the results of previous research. The results and discussion of this study provide an illustration if the experience gained while playing games gives children the ability to find solutions to the problems they face in a social environment. Games, which are the main entertainment objects, have moved from a social environment to a virtual environment as a result of technological developments. Furthermore, it was found that online games which are mostly played by children have a number of unfavorable impacts without regulation, and the irony is that traditional sports games such as Javanese benthik are no longer known.
