Authors:Yao Wen Hao, He Jun, Nasir Ali Pages: 1 - 14 Abstract: With the continuous development of technology, the smart blackboard has been widely used in classroom teaching at various stages of education in China, providing teachers with an intelligent teaching system, helping them improve the pertinence and effectiveness of teaching design in lesson preparation, teaching design, classroom writing, teaching management, teaching evaluation, teaching reflection, and other aspects. It is also conducive to stimulating learners' learning enthusiasm, interest persistence, and learning effectiveness. This article conducts a comprehensive study on the classroom interaction mode based on smart blackboards. Through an in-depth analysis of the functional characteristics of smart blackboards and their potential applications in teaching, an innovative classroom interaction mode is proposed based on a large number of previous teaching equipment classroom interaction modes such as electronic whiteboards. This model aims to fully leverage the advantages of the smart blackboard, achieve multi-dimensional and effective interaction between teachers, students, and the smart blackboard, and improve students' learning enthusiasm and participation. Through this model, teachers can better utilize the multimedia display, real-time feedback, and interactive functions of the smart blackboard, creating a more vivid and personalized teaching environment. In this mode, students can engage in effective learning, deep learning, and personalized learning to cultivate their higher-order thinking and promote their development. Authors:Li Lixia, He Jun, Yao Wenhao, Nasir Ali Pages: 15 - 28 Abstract: In the age of Healthcare 4.0, the deep integration of digital intelligent technology and medicine has put forward higher requirements for the digital literacy of medical students. Based on the literature review, this paper analyzes the current situation and deficiencies of digital literacy training in medical education: although most medical colleges have begun to attach great importance to digital technology education, there is a lack of systematic training programs and practice platforms. Based on this, guided by the theory of ecology of education, this paper focuses on four aspects of Collaboration between Hospitals and Universities, Policy support, Smart campus and Smart hospital at the macro level, five aspects of the training concept, Training mode, Evaluation mechanism, Teachers' digital literacy and Curriculum system at the meso level. At the micro level, there are mainly three functional entities, including the guidance and guarantee group, the transmission and development group, and the inheritance and pioneering group. These three entities, based on the macro and meso systems, promote the process of comprehensive improvement of medical students' digital literacy through the transmission of material flow, energy flow, and information flow (knowledge flow). Authors:Seyed Javad Roudehchi Tabrizi, Amirmohammad Tavakolilati, Ferhan Kahvecier, Samar Goldouz Pages: 29 - 47 Abstract: Through this study of the lexicon in learning English as a foreign language, we see that learning the lexicon is a sine qua non for learners since it is thanks to it that they will access effective communication. Also, the integration of digital technology in the teaching-learning of languages is not new, but the web and the great diversity of tools that are increasingly easy to use seem to have had an accelerating effect. So, this research took place in The Ankara University Private Foundation & Anatolian High School (ANKU) in Ankara for the use of digital technology in the context of consolidating lexical memorization in languages. Based on this research, we will ask the question of the effectiveness of memory replays via digital technology in the context of a consolidation of lexical memorization in the medium term versus the use of paper supports. The experiment was carried out in an establishment whose students mainly have a relatively high socio-economic profile. This is a Secondary class, with heterogeneous levels. We will highlight here the fact that in English lessons, students have used the Socrative online exerciser on several occasions since the start of the year on a computer in the computer room for formative assessments (as training and self -evaluation) preceding summative evaluations on paper and that they were therefore accustomed to this digital medium during the experience. Authors:Holly Many Pages: 48 - 66 Abstract: This paper explores the concept of an empowering learning environment in higher education, drawing inspiration from the capability approach of Nobel Prize laureate Amartya Sen. The empowering environment prioritizes students, valuing their emotions, needs, expectations, and fulfillment, while aiming to reconcile individual freedom with available resources. This research is based on an experience conducted with Master's degree students in Education at the University of Upper Alsace in France, demonstrating how to model and establish an empowering environment that considers individual differences and ergonomic factors to overcome learning obstacles and difficulties. The research endeavors model this experience, providing insights into the levers that can be employed to foster an empowering environment. Methodologically and epistemologically aligned with the sociological and philosophical traditions of the Chicago School (John Dewey, Robert E. Park, and Ernest W. Burgess), this study adopts a qualitative, inductive research methodology grounded in practical experience. The findings shed light on the mechanisms necessary for creating conducive conditions for learning and empowering learners to flourish. Consequently, an approach known as IREM (Individual, Resources, Environment, Mindset) has been modelized to illustrate the experience and highlight four crucial levers for building an empowering environment. Overall, this research contributes to the discourse on empowering learning environments in higher education, offering practical insights and theoretical foundations to support educators and institutions in enhancing the educational experience for students. By embracing the IREM approach, educators can proactively address the diverse needs of learners and foster an environment conducive to their growth and development. Authors:Suvendu Ray, Deb Prasad Sikdar Pages: 67 - 81 Abstract: Mental stress among prospective teachers in teacher education is a significant concern. They face academic pressures, professional expectations, and personal commitments, which can impact their psychological well-being. Thus, it is imperative to develop a validated stress measuring tool in order to assess the stress levels of prospective teachers in West Bengal, India. Developing a stress scale for assessing prospective teachers' mental stress levels was the aim of the present study. In order to gather the data, fifty (50) prospective teachers from West Bengal, India were given a self-administered version of the twenty-eight (28) item mental stress scale. After the data was collected, item analysis was performed on the stress scale to eliminate the poor items. After that, the internal consistency of the final scale was assessed using the 237 participants (prospective teachers) in the Cronbach's alpha method. After item analysis, the scale had 25 items left on it, covering the five mental stress scale sub-dimensions (Working Conditions, Role ambiguity & conflict, Responsibility, Relationship and Organizational Climate). A high degree of statistically significant correlation was found in the scale's final iteration, with alpha values of 0.939. Based on the results, researchers and educators can effectively assess the psychological stress level of prospective teachers by using the Stress Scale. The development and validation of a stress measuring instrument specifically designed for the prospective teachers of West Bengal is a significant advancement in educational research and practice. Authors:Mir Ruhal, Qu Linxin, Abdul Basit Khan, Tanveer Ahmad, Lin Fang Pages: 93 - 104 Abstract: The Chinese education system is the product of Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism that formed the bedrock of Chinese culture and norms. Confucianism deals with moral development, obedience, and social organization in the education of China, hence the values of filiality, loyalty and righteousness are cultivated in the curriculum. Teachers govern the classroom and students listen to them as this educational model presupposes respect for the superior authority and cultural heritage from Confucianism principles. Integrating Taoism into education supports students’ well-being as the ancient teachings promote harmony. It emphasizes the processes of learning through activities, ideas and the accomplishment of coupled P. E and arts education. Many concepts of Taoism are tied into the learning processes to engage the students and allow them to discover what intrigues and inspires them as well as adequately develop them. These two strategies are philosophy of Buddhism in the system of education through the practices of mindfulness and ethical principles. It is for this reason mindfulness programs will assist the students in developing concentration, stress management, and be able to display cordiality. Thus, ethical conduct is taught to Buddhist students to behave righteously and be responsible, which also fosters good school climate. Altogether, these philosophies contribute to the practices of educational systems in China that focuses on the moral values and social and personal intelligences. The transformation of such traditional values into circulation and training of a teacher compels the schools to offer a distinct education model that is geared towards the production of cultured, academically excellent and moral people. Thus, it makes Chinese education unique and maintains the core values of developing the whole man. PubDate: 2024-07-11 DOI: 10.53103/cjess.v4i4.252 Issue No:Vol. 4, No. 4 (2024)
