  • Kesantunan Berkomunikasi pada Media Sosial di Era Digital

    • Authors: Egi Rizqi Fitri Ardiani, Ima Noviana, Anggi Mariana, Siti Nurrohmah
      Pages: 65 - 76
AbstractThis study aims to describe the form of politeness to communicate in the digital era. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach. Microsoft's Digital Civility Index (DCI), that the biggest risk for Indonesian netizens is hoax news and fraud, up 13%, hate speech up 5%, but discrimination down 2%. Meanwhile, Indonesia ranks 29th out of 32 countries studied by Microsoft, making it the most protruding position in Southeast Asia. Indonesia is only ahead of Mexico (DCI 76), Russia (DCI 80), and South Africa (DCI 81) in terms of online politeness in the survey. In this research, the politeness level of internet users in Indonesia deteriorated eight points to 76, and put Indonesian netizens at the bottom of Southeast Asia. The greater the points earned, the worse the politeness level. Data collection methods used in this study were questionnaires and observations in social media, including Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. The results obtained through observation and questionnaires are very different, questionnaires show politeness remains in the surrounding environment, but through observation, many do not use ethics in commenting. The questionnaire data shows politeness in communicating is still above 60%, but different from the results of observations on social media Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, politeness in communicating is still very low below 40%. Our advice for readers is not to easily get carried away by the flow of globalization, such as speaking westernized words and leaving our own language, the language of unity that upholds courtesy.

  • Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Daring selama Pandemi COVID-19

    • Authors: Rahmawati Nurul Layli, Sarjuni Sarjuni, Choeroni Choeroni
      Pages: 95 - 102
Abstract: Tahun 2020 dunia dikejutkan dengan datangnya wabah Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). In 2020, the world shocked by the arrival of the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak. The virus, which is thought to have originated in Wuhan, China, began to spread to neighboring countries and continues to all corners of the world. (Yuliana, 2020) People are urged to reduce activities outside the home and learning and work activities are carried out in a work from home (WFH) manner. This requires all parties to be more responsive and adaptive to changes, especially in online learning systems. Including how to plan, implement, and evaluate online learning. This research uses descriptive qualitative research, in which the researcher describes an object, phenomenon, or social setting that is depicted in narrative writing. Planning for online learning models is carried out by preparing lesson plans, downloading applications to be used, and ensuring the state of the network. In doing so, the teacher uses several applications to support learning, such as webex meet, google form, google classroom, and email. In the evaluation process, the teacher still uses the application to support the learning process. So far, the application of the online learning model is considered to be less than optimal, because there are still many obstacles during the learning process.
