  • POPULIST LEFT-WING FOREIGN POLICY: THE CASE OF KIRCHNERISM IN ARGENTINA

    • Authors: Rodolfo Colalongo, Stellamarina Donato
      Pages: 24 - 47
Abstract: This article addresses the issue of populist foreign policy in Argentina and
employs a multi-methods research that combines discourse analysis, foreign policy analysis, and historical political reconstruction of Kirchnerism.
Theoretically, we refer to populism as an “Ideational Approach” and we
consider Destradi and Plegaman’s thematic lines in order to investigate
populism in world politics. Throughout the paper, we argue that left-wing
populist foreign policy does not discriminate against international cooperation and globalization per se but in a Manichean vision of the world, it
criticizes western rich countries, and proposes the creation of new regional alliances.

  • NEGACIONISMO Y POSVERDAD EN EL DISCURSO POLÍTICO INSTITUCIONAL DE
           BOLSONARO

    • Authors: Gian Luigi De Rosa
      Pages: 48 - 65
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to analyze Bolsonaro’s institutional political communication during the COVID-19 pandemic. The text develops the argument in two complementary phases: on the one hand, by analyzing the
political language, that can be considered as specialized language, used in
Bolsonaro’s institutional political communication. On the other hand, by
focusing on the negationist and post-truth strategies of banalization of the
      pandemic present in official statements.

           NACIÓN ARGENTINA (1806-1835)

    • Authors: Alejandro Herrero
      Pages: 66 - 92
Abstract: The image that the Argentine nation has existed since the Colony or since
the Revolution and Independence has been questioned for three decades.
New interpretations conceive that neither the nation nor Argentina were
a given fact, but that both were created in a movement open to different
national projects. The aim of this article tries to show that symbols are also
part of a construction that historians can reconstruct, and that Buenos
Aires, seat of the governments of the Revolution (or central power),
created the national symbolism, and tried

    • Authors: Israel López Monsivais Elizondo, Elida Tedesco, Enrique Delgado Lopez
      Pages: 94 - 116
Abstract: This article proposes a comparative study between the ideas and education of Lázaro Cárdenas and Juan Domingo Perón, whose leaderships
are considerate as classical populists in Latin America, in addition to the
fact that both have transcended in the political culture of their respective countries as ideology of welfare, social justice, state development and

  • EL APOYO POLÍTICO-DIPLOMÁTICO Y ECONÓMICO DE ARGENTINA A ITALIA EN LA
INMEDIATA POSGUERRA (1946-1947) CONTADO POR LA PRENSA ITALIANA

    • Authors: Gemma Pizzoni
      Pages: 118 - 159
Abstract: This article aims to piece together the economic and diplomatic relations
between Italy and Argentina during the Second post- World War through
the narration of the Italian press. The research considers the information of
some Italian newspapers and journals, selected for their ideological leaning:
the affiliated organizations of a party, the independent press, printed especially in the North of Italy, and the catholic one. Even if after World War II
Italy and Argentina had opposite economic, political, and social contests, they
developed some important contact points, not only for their own domestic
policies, but also for the international relations. The article analyzes how the
selected Italian press illustrates some common meeting points, particularly
for the biennium 1946-1947: the food supplies from the platense republic at
the impoverished and destroyed peninsula, the argentine support at the Paris
Peace Conference for a fair peace treaty for Italy and the diplomatic missions
      organized from both two nations.

  • SER MULHER SEGUNDO CLARICE LISPECTOR: UMA APRENDIZAGEM ENTRE JORNALISMO E
           LITERATURA

    • Authors: Luigia De Crescenzo
      Pages: 192 - 209
Abstract: This study aims to analyse the way in which Clarice Lispector developed
her reflection on the condition of women through literary and journalistic
writing. Although she has constantly rejected the label of feminist, the
works of the Brazilian writer seems to trace a path of liberation from social standards: an apprenticeship of “being a woman” that dispenses with
      any concept of gender.
Referring mainly to the reflections of Judith Butler and Pierre Bourdieu,
this aspect will be deepened through the analysis of the “women’s pages”
published under pseudonyms between the 50s and the 60s, and the novel
An apprenticeship or the book of pleasures; texts that are very different
from each other but that offer interesting perspectives on “being a woman” according to Clarice Lispector.

LAS PRIMERAS DÉCADAS DE LA REVOLUCIÓN

    • Authors: Yeniselis González Mederos
      Pages: 210 - 224
Abstract: The present article proposes a look at the political and cultural horizon of
revolutionary Cuba to examine the conditions in which intellectual production develops on the Island. Ideological relations between intellectuals and the revolutionary leadership in the context of the construction of
socialism, as well as in the work of scientific dissemination carried out by
the Criterios magazine from the seventies to the nineties and from which
theoretical-methodological alternatives are proposed to the Marxist line
of thought of Soviet Stalinist orientation that was widely circulated in
      Cuba during those decades.

  • AS MANIFESTAÇÕES DO SILÊNCIO EM MIA COUTO

    • Authors: Barbara Gori
      Pages: 226 - 254
Abstract: Silence is a topic with a great power of attraction, especially in the Western society of the 21st century, where it is always more important to “have to speak at any cost”, “have to say everything” and
“have to speak always”, as if they were an explicit way demonstrating a possible equation: to speak
= to be valid. Traditional African society travels in the opposite direction. Sticking to the principles
of oral tradition, traditional African society, on the contrary, uses the word cautiously in an inverse
scale of values, without, however, wasting it. Who speaks less is worth more because it is with an
attentive, care and never excessive use of the word that it is possible to establish the place of the
sacred, of the art, of the memory, of the affections, of the justice. It is also making full use of the art
of silence that it is imaginable to practice the wisdom and open the doors to the great mysteries of
life and of the other. The possibility that silence has to be form and object of communication brings
it closer to verbal languages, but with the singularity of not sharing their prerogative of “talking
about themselves” in explicit and autonomous ways, in relation to a context. In the practice of
silence, form and object are one. It is not thinkable to explain, it is not conceivable to narrate and it
is not possible to describe the silence with the silence itself. Silence exists, a meaning is given to it, or,
more properly, innumerable meanings, depending on the circumstances of the dialogue. However,
to evoke, narrate, describe their meanings and their perceptible manifestations, it is necessary to use
the clarity of other types of linguistic expression. In this article, are examined some works by the
Mozambican writer Mia Couto. The analysis of these works concerns the types of silence important
for the weight they have in the unfolding of narrative plots and in the intertwining of discourses.
They manifest themselves mainly in four ways, all linked to the African oral tradition: the silence of
listening, the silence of pauses and reticence, the desire for silence and the pleasure of listening, the
silence in the silence of words.

  • LOS APORTES DE FRANCISCO DE MIRANDA A LA IDENTIDAD INTEGRACIONISTA DE
           NUESTRAS AMÉRICAS

    • Authors: Miguel Rojas Gómez
      Pages: 256 - 283
Abstract: This research highlights the importance of Francisco de Miranda as an authentic
thinker, creator of a set of conceptual names of a cultural nature and integrationist
identity such as Colombia, Our Americas, Hispanic America and South America,
some of which already exist as Our America or South America, but with Miranda
would reach a new semantic and pragmatic function of the supranational integrationist identity emancipation, previously not conceived, with transcendence and
theoretical historical validity until today. Likewise, based on the documentary foundation of Mirandina roots, it is discussed with those researchers who disqualify the
Hispano-American construct of Miranda, emphasizing that the Hispano-American
concept has a positive connotation, identity in the difference with the Spanish, and
in this sense was assumed by those who advocated it during the 19th and 20th centuries in Latin America, and also by certain Spaniards, without denying that there
were Hispanic peninsular who interpreted it from the identity of the same.

  • APUNTES SOBRE IDENTIDAD, SOBERANÍA Y LENGUA EN LA COSMOGONÍA
           PERONISTA

    • Authors: Angela Sagnella
      Pages: 284 - 302
Abstract: This article aims to offer an exploration into Peronism within a historicalpolitical framework in order to analyse and deepen the relationship between the construction of national sovereignty and the so-called “cuestión
de la lengua”. In turn, diachronically, two main lines of thought will be
highlighted: an initial one, characterised essentially by the “discurso hispanista” and another —developed around 1952— in which an Argentine
linguistic autonomy is claimed, detached from the Spanish heritage and
more inclined, instead, towards a Latin American political-cultural unity.
Within this analysis, apart from the indoctrination found in the normative provisions of Peronism and the modelling of consciences through
the educational system, this paper aims to return to the “cuestión de la
lengua” in order to situate the dichotomous peculiarity of this political
movement, and the importance of the policies used to construct the cultural framework and the socio-political meanings.
