Authors:Ebru Ergüneş Berkin Abstract: When the countries that lead the world strategically are examined, it is understood that countries with a developed agricultural sector are determined to be the decision makers in agricultural production in the world, with the aim of being self-sufficient in meeting food needs. The development and sustainability of such an important sector for a healthier society as well as the continuation of humanity did not happen randomly in developed countries and the sector was not left to its own devices. In addition to maintaining a certain quality in agricultural production, the use of technology must first be improved in order to increase production. In order to achieve this, highly educated manpower is required in this field, and quality educational institutions must be established in order to train highly educated manpower. In order to achieve the targets set for agricultural products and product quality, academic knowledge and the ability to reflect this knowledge on the field are also important. This study aims to examine the history of agricultural education, which officially started in 1846 in Türkiye. PubDate: Mon, 15 Jul 2024 00:00:00 +030
Authors:Sema İrem Orhan; Abdullah Aydın Abstract: Journals have an important place in delivering scientific studies in the literature to readers. One of these, the Black Sea Journal of Public and Social Science (BSJPSS), was examined from a bibliometric perspective and 68 articles published in the journal between 2018 and 2023 were analyzed. The articles published in the journal were examined with a bibliometric approach, comparisons were made from various aspects and some conclusions were reached. In this context, acceptance/rejection rates of the articles in the BSJPSS journal, publication trend, change over the years, number of views and downloads, publication language, distribution of keywords, authorship status, distribution of authors by title, geographical distribution, distribution of authors according to the institutions they work for, number of pages and bibliography were examined in terms of their distribution. Some findings of the study are: The majority of the articles published in the journal were research articles and published in English. The acceptance rate of the articles is high and the majority of the authors are PhD graduates. The average number of articles per issue is 5.67 and the average number of citations per article is 1.34. The number of references per article in BSJPSS was determined as 24.07. It was seen that the geographical distribution of the articles was mostly from Türkiye, and in terms of provinces in Türkiye, Samsun. It was determined that Ondokuz Mayıs University was the most prominent among the institutions where the authors of the articles worked, and Farhood Golmohammadi stood out among the authors. It was determined that the journal’s readers preferred to download the articles they accessed rather than viewing them. The average keywords per article of the articles published in BSJPSS were 4.87, co-authorship was 2.06, the average number of pages per article was 8.5, and the total number of bibliographies was 1837. Authors:Tuğçe Oral; Müge Ensari Özay Abstract: The aim of this study is to examine the effect and relationship of people with substance use disorder to struggle with addiction and to be together with their family or social environment during treatment. In the research, common parameters related to family or social environment were determined and statistical data were created by using the qualitative data in the Narcologist report published in Türkiye in 2018-2022. The research findings were created with the participation of people with substance use disorders who applied to the police departments for any reason in Türkiye. According to the results of the research, those who want to get rid of substance addiction were evaluated with different groups. For example: those who want to get rid of substance addiction-those who accept that their social relations have deteriorated, those who want to get rid of substance addiction-who are married, those who work in any job-who accept that their social relations etc. According to the analysis, it has been determined that there is a linear proportion between these groups. In addition, the findings of the study were supported by the literature, emphasizing that health representatives, family members and social environment should be in a holistic approach in the fight against addiction. The contribution of this study is to identify the common points of people with substance addiction and express their opinions, and provide guidance on the current situation and expectations in the fight against addiction. The secondary contribution includes suggestions that will contribute to future research in this field and the development of complementary treatment methods by examining the findings with a theoretical framework. Authors:Kenan Çiftçi; Sait Akbaşlı Abstract: In this study, it was aimed to determine the problems encountered by graduate students working in a workplace in their schools and workplaces. The study group of this research, which was designed as a qualitative case study, consists of 17 master's and doctoral students studying in 9 different universities. Semi-structured interview forms developed by the researchers were used in the data collection process. The data were analyzed by content analysis method. According to the results of the study, it was determined that the most common problems encountered by graduate students in their workplaces were not being able to take leave, increasing the workload, not being able to focus on work, mobbing and not being evaluated in the field of education. Again, according to the results, the problems encountered by graduate students in the schools where they study were determined as class attendance, inadequate guidance-communication of the advisor, insufficient physical space, transportation, inflexibility of course hours and inability to focus. Students see lack of motivation, inability to manage time, economic hardship, work and school being in different cities, and not showing enough initiative as problems arising from themselves. It was determined that students developed various ways to solve the situations characterized as problems. It was found that students solved the problems they faced by developing good relations with their supervisors, keeping their motivation high, turning to different resources, getting support from their friends, communicating with their advisors, and using time effectively. It was also found that some students did not make any effort to solve their problems. Based on the findings and results, some suggestions were developed for researchers and practitioners. Authors:Serdar Zincir Abstract: The aim of this study is to determine the appropriate number of personnel in order to minimize the waiting time of the patients and to determine the optimum service quality in order to bring the utilization rate of the personnel to the optimum level in the Hospital Emergency Service Department, which is a service production unit. The data needed for modelling the Hospital Emergency Service Department is the data obtained in 2022 from a public hospital in Kahramanmaraş. Some of the data was obtained as an output data from the Hospital system and some of them were created from the values obtained through observation. Therefore, some variables used in modelling the system contain approximate values. The Hospital Emergency Service workflow process was modelled on Arena Simulation Software and in order to reach the optimum number of personnel required for optimum service quality, optimum personnel utilization rate and maximum value added time spent on patients per unit time, different variables were tested on the model and the model was run in line with the scenarios created and the resulting reports were analyzed. While modelling, Smirnov-Kolmogorov suitability test for distribution was performed for the probability distributions of the data and it was proved which probability distribution the items in the data set fit. PROMETHEE II (Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluation) method was used in order to reach the most ideal solution among the results produced by the simulation model. According to the results of the analyses made by using this method in the Emergency Service Department, it has been proved that the scenario which includes the employment of 1 registration and triage personnel, 2 nurses, 3 doctors and 1 laboratory personnel is the most appropriate scenario for the unit. In other words, if the above-mentioned scenario is implemented in the analyzed Emergency Service Department, the service quality provided to the patients will reach optimum.
