Authors:Hülya GÜLAY OGELMAN; Gülşah YÜCE, Ahmet YÜCE Abstract: This study aims to examine the social-emotional competence of pre-school children according to their parents' education level. General scanning model was used in the study. The study sample consisted of 188 children attending pre-school education in Soma District of Manisa province, 188 mothers, and 188 fathers. Personal Information Form and Social-Emotional Skills and Psychological Resilience Scale for Preschool Children (SESPRS-Preschool) were used as data collection tools in the study. Data collection tools were filled by pre-school teachers based on approximately seven months of observation for each child. Based on the normal distribution findings, analyses were carried out with the parametric One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) technique. Bonferroni, one of the post-hoc techniques, was applied to determine the differences between the groups. According to the findings of the study, it was seen that pre-school children's emotional knowledge/expression of emotion, empathy, self-regulation, social competence sub-dimensions, and SESPRS-Pre-School level differ statistically according to the educational status of their parents. According to this result, parents' education level with pre-school children can affect their children's social-emotional competence. PubDate: Wed, 28 Dec 2022 00:00:00 +030
Authors:Ali OSMANOĞLU; Abdurrahim Fahimi AYDIN Abstract: It is important that the level of development in a country is balanced between regions and that the difference is low. Three types of regions come to the fore as homogeneous, polarized and plan regions in this context. It is aimed to ensure regional development as a result of the division of the country into regions and regions into types. Regional development means raising the level of welfare by eliminating interregional imbalances and activating the economic and social potentials in the region. Especially since the 1950s, regional policies have gained importance and have been seen as a part of the country’s development in Turkey. Therefore, many projects have been implemented for regions in the country. Southeastern Anatolia Project (GAP), as an integrated and multi-sectoral development project with the idea of benefiting from the resources of the Southeastern Anatolia Region, was initiated with the Decree-Law (KHK) published in the Official Gazette on 6 November 1989. This project has the feature of being the most effectively implemented project in the history of the Republic, covering 9 provinces. Master plan, region development plan, action plans and development programs are implemented within the scope of the Project. Currently, improvement works continue for many sectors, especially agriculture, energy and industry in the provinces in the GAP region. In this study, the developments after the 2000swithin the scopeof the GAP, which was prepared and implemented for the Southeastern Anatolia Region, were examined through statistical data. In this context, developments in selected sectors are discussed. PubDate: Wed, 28 Dec 2022 00:00:00 +030
Authors:Soner SAN; Hülya ŞAHİNER, Osman Nuri UÇAN, Baybora TEMEL Abstract: Examples of early image weaves created with finite geometric sequences in history; It is seen in mosaic art, floor tiles and weaving techniques. Especially in the first half of the 19th century, Joseph Marie Jacquard's use of template cards in weaving looms formed the basis of the digital infrastructure and digital image of computer technologies. Today, digital image; It is formed by the finite array of square-shaped points (pixels) in the two-dimensional plane (x, y). This finite mosaicing creates a raster image in digital geometry and causes geometric breaks in low number of sequences (resolution) and disrupts the objective integrity of the image. In the light of this information; The subject of this research is to compare the qualitative and quantitative differences in the image pattern formed by the "truncated quadrille" double-uniform derivative of the square form and the "truncated quadrille" of the Euclidean semi-regular mosaics group in digital geometry, that is, the "kisquadrille" formed by the tetrakis square "4.8.8" form. Authors:Büşra ALPARSLAN Abstract: People have a tendency to categorize others as ingroup or outgroup. Social psychology literature, attribute this distinction to similarity; people who are similar are thought to be ingroup and people who are different is thought to be outgroup. Similarly, people’s attitudes, perceptions and attributions towards others easily change depending on whether they are ingroup or outgroup. Moreover, studies investigating ethnic group relations showed that perceived intergroup difference is an important variable that influence stereotype content and other intercultural attitudes in European context. In this study, role of perceived intergroup difference on stereotype content is measured in a Turkish sample targeting three ethnic minorities (Circassian, Kurdish and Armenian). Results showed that, ethnic minorities studied in this paper, are definitely perceived differently from one another in terms of perceived intergroup difference. Turkish participants rated three ethnic groups as significantly different from themselves and also from one another. Moreover, there might be some credence to the idea of perceived intergroup difference having an influence on stereotype content since the outgroup that is rated as most similar (Circassian) was significantly rated higher on warmth and competence dimensions as compared to other outgroups.
