Abstract: Investigadoras, activistas y autoridades de Justicia analizan en este conversatorio el problema de la violencia contra las mujeres. Bolivia, coinciden, es uno de los países de la región donde ha habido importantes avances legislativos, sin embargo, los desafíos continúan siendo los mismos. Hace falta priorizar la asignación presupuestaria en la lucha contra la violencia y fortalecer las instituciones encargadas por ley a las tareas de prevención, sanción y erradicación de la violencia.In this dialogue, the problem of violence against women is analysed by researchers, activists and justice system authorities. Bolivia, they all agree, is one of the countries in the región where significant progress has been made in terms of legislation, but the challenges are still the same as before. The priority should be to allocate funds for combating violence and strengthen the institutions that the law has made responsible for preventing, punishing and eradicating violence

A partir de los resultados de una investigación sobre violencia contra la mujer en el Macrodistrito Max Paredes del municipio de La Paz, la autora analiza las iniciativas de política pública sobre el tema, las causas que producen la violencia, la necesidad de registros nacionales para determinar prevalencias en tiempo real y el comportamiento de las familiasIn the last twenty years, Bolivia has introduced a set of public policy initiatives to prevent, punish and eradicate gender-based violence. Abstract: El artículo incluye los resultados de una investigación en torno a los mecanismos de poder que se ejercen mediante la violencia sexual sobre las mujeres guaraníes de Yacuiba. La autora examina el contenido político, material y simbólico de ese poder y explora los itinerarios que siguen las mujeres en la búsqueda de justicia frente a la violencia y la respuesta de la justicia ordinaria y la justicia indígena.This article presents the results of research on the mechanisms of power that are exercised by means of sexual violence against Guaraní women in Yacuiba. The author examines the political, material and symbolic contení of that power. She also explores the pathways followed by women who have suffered violence in the search for justice and the response of the ordinary and indigenous justice systems.
Abstract: Basada en la investigación "La sana crítica del juez en la aplicación de justicia a casos de violencia contra las mujeres", la autora presenta uno de los seis casos estudiados que permite hacer una crítica al sistema de valoración de la prueba para dictar sentencia, denominada "la sana crítica del juez". En el artículo se pone en evidencia el alto grado de influencia de la cultura patriarcal y machista en el pensamiento del juzgador en Bolivia, y que está provocando la vulneración de los derechos de las mujeres.Based on her research entitled "The judge's sound assessment in administering justice in cases of violence against women," the author presents one of her six case studies and offers a critique of the system for weighing the evidence prior to passing sentence, called "the judge's sound assessment." The article reveáis the extent to Ih the patriarchal and male chauvinist culture influences the thinking of judges in Bolivia, and shows how women's rights are being infringed as a result.
Abstract: En este artículo se analiza el "trabajo minero itinerante" que realizan las mujeres de la Cooperativa Chorolque. Hasta hace algunos años las tareas en interior mina estabaí prohibidas a las mujeres, pero ahora es una práctica común. Las mujeres mineras, po diferentes factores, se desplazan de interior mina a la superficie o viceversa. Y es a partir di este desplazamiento que construyen dinámicas que las diferencian de sus pares varones.This article analyses the "itinerant mining work" performed by women in the Chorolqu* Cooperative. Until a few years ago, women were banned from working inside the mine, but nov it is a common practice. For different reasons, women miners move from working inside th< mine to the surface, or vice versa. Based on these shifts in the location of their work, they buik dynamics that differentiate them from their male peers.
Abstract: La autora identifica las características y los conflictos en la participación de las mujeres en los ámbitos sindical y político desde la cultura política y las relaciones de género. El análisis parte de la experiencia de la Federación Departamental Única de Mujeres Campesinas Indígenas Originarias de La Paz 'Bartolina Sisa', y su relación con la Confederación Nacional, los niveles provinciales de la Federación, y su par masculina, la Federación Departamental de Trabajadores Campesinos de La Paz "Túpac Katari".The author of this article identifies characteristics and conflicts in women's participation in trade unions and politics, from the standpoint of political culture and gender relations. The analysis draws on the experience of the "Bartolina Sisa" Single Departmental Federation of Rural and Indigenous Women of La Paz, looking at their relationship with the National Confederation, the Federation at the provincial level and their male counterpart, the "Túpac Katari" Departmental Federation of Rural Workers of La Paz.
Abstract: ¿Debe la crítica estudiar el costumbrismo literario como si fuese una copia fiel de la realidad' Escrito a contracorriente de lo que suele pasar por apreciación sociológica de la realidad, el presente ensayo, dedicado al estudio de La chaskañawi, postula que dicha obra no es tan objetiva como parece, y que en ella se enquistan extrañas figuras salvajes que, ocultas y silenciosas, no se adaptan mansamente al pujante ascenso del cholaje. Revelarlas y relacionarlas con el contexto histórico y autobiográfico de Carlos Medinaceli son las principales tareas de este trabajo.Should criticism study "costumbrismo", the literary interpretation of local customs, as simply an objective representation of everyday life' Writing against the grain of what normally passes as socio-historical approaches to literature, this essay, dedicated to uncover the intricacies of La chaskañawi, affirms that behind every event set in place by the plot of the novel a savage is silently hidden, watching overthe frontier of civilized existence. This essay attempts to explain why European savages haunt the apparently progressive content of the novel, and how they relate to the historical context and to the rise of the "costumbrista" novel.
