  • The Assessment of Statistical Processes used in Published Educational
Researches: Dar-Almandumah Database as a Model

    • Authors: Ejteyad Abu thabet; Nizar Ismaeal, Aziz Abdulla
Abstract: This research aims to study and assess the statistical processes used in the educational researches published in Dar-Almandumah database. Purposive sampling has been used in this study, which consisted of 301 educational researches classified into three categories. To achieve the objective of this research, the approach of Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic and Meta-Analysis Protocols (PRISMA-P2015) has been followed. It consists of three stages; the first covers abstracts, the second covers the statistical methods, and the third discusses verification of the assumptions related to the statistical methods used in the researches. Frequencies and percentages have been used in each of the three stages. The first stage concluded that: most of the educational researches’ abstracts did not mention the type of sample used, a few abstracts mentioned the size of sample and target population, most of the researches used the descriptive-analytical approach and qualitative data, and the independent variable was mentioned in the abstracts more than the dependent variable. The results of the second stage indicated that descriptive and simple inferential methods are used the most, whereas, the results of the third stage indicated a lack of verifying assumptions of the statistical methods used in the researches.

Implementation in the Public Sector “Egypt Government Excellence
           Award”

    • Authors: Ashraf Elsafty; Ahmed Seddek
Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to outline the structure of the Egypt Government Excellence Award, as well as to investigate the role of adopting an excellence framework in developing public sector work nature and improving public services, as well as to attempt to identify and propose solutions to the practical problems and challenges posed by excellence awards. The paper will highlight and investigate critical success factors (CSFs) that influence the success of the excellence model's implementation and adoption in the Egyptian public sector. A qualitative method will be used to build a model for CSF.The paper has summarized potential CSF that has been analyzed in previous literature that developed different models with different methodologies according to industry context. The majority of literature has discussed and analyzed CSF regarding TQM principles, with very little literature having discovered CSF of Excellence Models. The paper uses a qualitative narrative approach for an exploratory purpose. The data has been collected and analyzed using human interactive data sources by using unstructured interviews with experts in excellence from Egypt and other countries that have a similar context to EGEA.The results have shown that the main top five CSF, which are considered the main factors that will help any public organization in Egypt to successfully implement excellence models, are leadership, human assets, culture, excellence model, and performance management system.

through Eco Pieces of Furniture and Lighting

    • Authors: Angela Munteanu
Abstract: Objective: The research presents the efficiency of the studied topic, the theoretical and practical polices applied in ecological architecture and design, the importance and priorities of a healthy interior environment. The main statement that motivated this qualitative study is to explain clear principles of recycling and reuse through sustainability, supported by the high school curriculum.Methodology: The study focuses on developing awareness of critical thinking in society and academia, for recycling and reuse, - a process that leads to reducing environmental pollution, and waste emissions for the future of our descendants. The paper follows two directions for analysis. First of all, the ecology principles implemented by EU and fully supported by the Republic of Moldova through recent state directives and polices toward the sustainability. Secondly, the inclusion in the high school curriculum the projects concentraded on sustainability. Some examples of functional furniture, lighting and interior design pieces elaborated by students-architects and designers, promoting the possibility of recycling and reuse the waste materials, were presented.Findings: The analysis of the situation and the sustainable approach revealed three major postulates: First of all, the awareness of the attitude towards the environment and critical thinking of sustainability for future generationsб plausible messages both for the Moldovan society and for the academic environment. Finally, the implementation of critical awareness towards recycling and reuse of waste materials in the curriculum strategies for architects and interior designers led to development  of future specialists in the field such as of sustainable products design.

  • Familial Vulnerability at the Transition from School to Work

    • Authors: Julian Valentin Möhring
Abstract: Since the Covid-19 pandemic, families have not only been seen as a place to recover from the demands of public life, but also as a constitutive element for particular vulnerabilities. Public life in general was greatly impacted by pandemic restrictions, thus, increasing the focus and visibility on dangers of regression and injury in one's own home. The article is based on narrative interviews, with emerging adults (18-27 years) who are hard to reach on their perception of the situation. 10 persons were interviewed initially in winter 2017/2018 and 10 other persons during the pandemic in the first half of 2021. This qualitative data was interpreted using the method of objective hermeneutics.Under a magnifying glass, it becomes clear how childhood experiences of injury and neglect by one's own family still influence the ability to cope with the demands placed on them during the transition from school to work. This display of vulnerability in the described experiences is interpreted with regard to the visibility and latency of vulnerability. Exploring the link between trust and vulnerability deepens an understanding of how harmful events in childhood still influence vocational opportunities after leaving school. Depending on their age, the interviewees concentrate on the changed position within the family towards their parents. In this interplay between socializing processes of detachment and the rise from a dependent position to one of responsibility, the retrospective evaluation of the family and what was previously familiar in the world of life assumes a central position.

  • Transformative Pedagogy in the Film Taare Zameen Par: An Empirical
Analysis under the Light of Transformative Learning Theory

    • Authors: Mohammad Delwar Hosen
Abstract: This article examines how transformative pedagogy happens in the Indian film Taare Zameen Par. This film has been analyzed under the lens of transformative learning theory introduced by Jack Mezirow. The author of this article purposively selects some critical scenes, dialogues, and situations that appear throughout the film to understand transformative pedagogy and transformative learning theory. This study employs the textual analysis method suggested by Frey et al. (1999). The prime intention of this study is to investigate how transformative learning happens in that film and find out ways to overcome the challenging situation in classrooms. This study finds that substantial transformative learning happens in the film’s last half. Communication or dialogue is the most important element to engage students in transformative learning activities. This study discovers the teacher’s extensive communication or communication efforts that support Mezirow’s transformative learning theory. Teaching critical thinking is another vital element of transformative learning. This study observes teachers could change students’ views about themselves and turn perplexed or shattered students into successful ones. Desire to change students, empathy for students, trusting students, and caring for students are some of the essential elements of transformative learning. This study notices that all those components of transformative learning exist in the film Taare Zameen Par. This study is crucial from the pedagogical point of view, which applies film as a transformative learning tool. Later, this article suggests how the school system and higher education institutions across the globe might be beneficial by employing a transformative learning approach in the classroom to make learners confident and successful in their life.

  • A Cognitive View of the Cosmos and the Universal Grammar

    • Authors: Antonio Cassella
Abstract: This article shows that nature’s nature,[1] the cosmos, and the universal grammar behind all languages agree with the ironic “semeiotic” of the American Charles Sanders Peirce (“/pɜːrs/” IPA[2]). He stressed (Peirce, 1868) the crossing of classical (“yes against no”) with quantum (“yes and no”) computing in two propositions: “There is no griffin” and “A griffin is a winged quadruped.” His logic, confused with American Pragmatism, lies unused. Yet global warming and the massive death of children without proper food and water before the turn of this century can be eluded by seizing Peirce’s “science of irony,” two lost artworks by Leonardo da Vinci, autism, folly, and the circle of complex numbers (“Z”) that enlightens two universes in which matter counters anti-matter. The cosmos, led by infinity in dark energy and zero in dark matter, echoes the union of enemies, freedom after slavery, shame after sinning, and forgiveness for justice.
[1] The three attentions/intentions behind my hypothetical “Logos Heuristics” (or “Greek Lambda”) about nature’s nature use the following notation:
      Our underlined 1st attention (1) goes 99% with the recall (Zaitchik, 1990; Povinelli et al., 1996), finiteness, or classical computing (p = probability = 1) spared in autistics (about 1% of us)—who fancy the truths they see;
the 2nd attention (2), the quantum computing (p = 1 and 0) hurt in autistics—or our going with hope in facing doubts, sins, plights, lies, puns, metaphors, problems, infinity, nothingness, and paradoxes—goes in bold; and
the 3rd attention (3), “Z”, or our ironic ability to solve a problem—wronged in schizophrenics (near 1% of us), who see the lies they fancy—combines underlining and bold or is stressed with an irregular Capital.[2] IPA is the International Phonetic Alphabet.

  • Benefit Conflicts and Program Defects of the Operation of Village
Combination in China's Countryside: Also on the Practice Model of
           Developed Countries

    • Authors: Jiahui Sha; Guangyao Liu
Abstract: Village combination is a significant social transformation and development event in China's rural areas. In the central government's original plan, the implementation of the policy should run smoothly. As some local governments forced the villagers to accept the merger policy in a radical administrative way, it caused opposition from all walks of life. From the perspective of cost-benefit, it can be found that the implementation of village combination has long-term benefits to the society as a whole. However, due to the neglect of the protection of villagers' legitimate rights and interests in the current operation, the positive effect of the policy is insufficient. In terms of fair compensation, the system ignores the monetary compensation for using the homestead, which leads to the loss of villagers' interests that cannot be effectively filled. Moreover, the lack of current legal provisions that implement the village combination is impossible to follow. At the same time, because of the local government's neglect of applicable laws, it is difficult for villagers to get just legal relief. In addition to discussing the chaos of the current village combination, the main ways that villages merge in developed countries outside the region are also discussed. Through the evaluation of these national practices, it provides a model for the better development of village combinations in China.
