  • Examining the Healthy Eating Attitude Scores of University Students in the
           Covid 19 Period

    • Authors: Gürkan YILMAZ; Emrah ŞENGÜR, İzzet TURASAN
Abstract: This study aims to investigate the attitude scale scores of university students studying at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University towards healthy eating. A total of 921 students voluntarily took part the study, 334 in the Faculty of Sport Sciences, 89 in the Social Sciences, 498 in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. The independent T-test was used as a pair comparison and the one-way ANOVA test was used to define the difference between groups. As a result of the analysis, the mean score of men was determined as 69.06, while the mean of women was 68.35. Although no significant difference was found in the group comparison, it was determined that the mean of men was higher. In the Attitudes Towards Healthy Eating Scale score classification, both men and women were in the high group. It has been determined that there is an important difference in the comparison of the SBİTÖ score averages according to the regular activity status, and the difference is in favor of the students who regularly engage in activities.Consequently, regular activities were observed to have an impact on the healthy eating attitude score. In addition to the students of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, the fact that the students of other faculties are interested in various branches that closely follow the training and healthy eating patterns is thought to have contributed to this result.

  • The Effect of Sensation Seeking on Flow State in Ski and Snowboard:
           Moderator Role of Gender

    • Authors: Özge YAVAŞ TEZ; Melike ESENTAŞ DEVECİ
Abstract: Various models and theories based on psychology have been developed. Flow Theory, which is among these models, has been studied by many researchers. In this context, the moderating role of gender in the effect of sensation-seeking on the flow of skiers and snowboarders was investigated. The research was carried out on 622 participants who ski and snowboard in winter tourism regions in Turkey. The Contextual Sensation Seeking Questionnaire for Skiing and Snowboarding-CSSQ-S and The Dispositional Flow Scale Sort Form (DFS-2) measurement tools were used in the research. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that there is a causal relationship between CSSQ-S (Novelty) and DFS-2. As a result of the regulatory impact analysis, it was determined that there were significant differences in terms of women and men in the relationship between CSSQ-S (Novelty) and DFS-2. As a result, it was determined that there is a causal relationship between CSSQ-S (Novelty) and DFS-2. According to this result, the effect of women's pursuit of excitement about skiing and snowboarding on the flow state is higher than that of men, which puts women in a more intense flow state during the experience.

Problem-Solving Skills, Decision Making Styles and Organizational
           Commitment Levels

    • Authors: Yasin DEMİRCAN; Vedat AYAN
Abstract: This research was carried out to reveal the differences in the problem-solving skills, decision-making styles and organizational commitment levels of physical education and sports teachers in terms of gender, age and years of service in the profession. The study group of the research in the screening model was determined by the convenience sampling method. The sample of the study consisted of a total of 176 physical education and sports teachers, 53 female and 123 male, working in Giresun. "Problem Solving Inventory", "Melbourne Decision Making Scale", "Organizational Commitment Scale" and "Personal Information Form" were used as data collection tools in the research. Statistical analysis of the obtained data was carried out using the SPSS 26.0 package program. Alpha (α) significance level was accepted as .05 for all statistical methods. Arithmetic mean, standard deviation and t-test for differences between groups and one-way ANOVA tests were used to analyze the data. Within the scope of the research, it was determined that the statistical mean scores of the physical education and sports teachers' problem-solving skills and organizational commitment levels differed according to the gender variable (p<.05). In terms of age variable, it was determined that the mean scores of physical education and sports teachers' problem-solving skills and organizational commitment levels differed statistically (p<0.01). In addition, it was determined that the mean scores of physical education and sports teachers' years of service in the profession and their problem-solving skills, decision-making styles and organizational commitment levels differed statistically (p<0.01). As a result, it was determined that the problem-solving skills and organizational commitment levels of physical education and sports teachers differed statistically according to gender, age and years of service in the profession. It is thought that the data obtained will contribute to the literature and the studies to be carried out.
