Authors:Hediye KÜÇÜKAPAN; Adem CİVAN Abstract: A total of 104 sedentary women were included in the study, including 52 experimental (mean age 32.62 ± 5.03) and 52 control group (average of age: 34.23 ± 2.82). In the study program, the experimental group for 10 weeks; pilates training was done for 50 minutes a day, 2 days a week. Participants in the control group did not participate in any physical activity during 10 weeks The Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire (MBSRQ) was used to determine the body perception level of the women participating in the study. The questionnaires were applied to both groups as pre-test and post-test.As a result the comparison of the body perception pre-test and post-test scores of the experimental group participating in the study; It was determined that there is a statistically significant difference in terms of appearance assessment, appearance orientation, assessment of physical competence, physical competence orientation, health assessment, health orientation, satisfaction in body areas and total score (p <0.05). In As a result the comparison of the body perception pre-test and post- test scores of the control group; it was determined that there is a statistically significant difference in terms of appearance orientation, assessment of physical competence, physical competence orientation and total score (p <0.05), on the other hand, no statistically significant difference was found in the sub- dimensions of appearance evaluation, health evaluation, health orientation, and body area satisfaction (p>0.05).In conclusion, pilates exercises are thought to have a positive effect on body perception, and it can ın conclession be said that pilates exercises improve body perception of sedentary women. Authors:İhsan SARI; Erolcan ÇELİK, Muharrem AYDIN, Selçuk KÖYTEPE Abstract: The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between coaches’ behaviors and adolescent football players’ achievement motivation. 192 male football players between the ages of 12-18 participated in this study. Personal information form, Coaching Behavior Scale for Sport and Sports-Specific Achievement Motivation Scale were used as data collection tools. There were positive and significant relationships between motivation to achieve power and teaching of technical skills, mental preparation, goal setting, competition strategies and positive coaching behaviors. There was a positive and significant relationship between motivation to achieve success and training and conditioning, teaching technical skills, mental preparation, goal setting, competition strategies and positive coaching behaviors. Motivation to avoid failure was negatively and significantly correlated with technical skill whereas it positively and significantly correlated with negative coaching behaviors. According to regression analysis, technical skill teaching and mental preparation behaviors of coach predicted athletes’ motivation to achieve power by 17%. Negative coaching behaviors, on the other hand, explained 10% of variance in motivation to avoid failure. Coaching behaviors are positively related to motivation to achieve power and achieve success and show strength. In particular, coaches’ technical skill teaching and mental preparation behaviors contribute to athletes’ motivation to achieve power. It can be concluded that negative coach behaviors can increase athletes’ motivation to avoid failure. PubDate: Mon, 27 Dec 2021 00:00:00 +030
Authors:Arif Mert ÖZKAN; Aslı ÇEKİÇ, Fatma ÇEPİKKURT Abstract: This study was conducted to examine the relationship between university students' social appearance anxiety and healthy lifestyle behaviors according to some demographic variables. The research was planned as a descriptive research in the cross-sectional and relational survey model. A total of 457 university students, 220 female (Xage = 24.57) and 237 male (Xage = 22) participated in this study, voluntarily. In the study “Demographic Information Form”, “Social Appearance Anxiety Scale” and “Healthy Lifestyle Behaviors-II Scale” were used. In the analysis of the data, descriptive statistics, t-test and Pearson Correlation Analysis were applied. The results showed that social appearance anxiety and healthy lifestyle behaviors didn’t differ according to gender, but it differed significantly in interpersonal relationships and health responsibility sub-dimensions according to gender. It was observed that social appearance anxiety and, health responsibility, physical activity, taking nourishment, spiritual development, interpersonal relationships and stress management subdimensions differ significantly by the exercising variety. The result of the pearson correlation analysis reveal that negative low-level significant relation between social appearance anxiety and healthy lifestyle behaviours. Authors:Hasan Suat AKSU; Alper KAYA, Fatma ARSLAN Abstract: Considering the prominence of open spaces in the Covid-19 process and the selection criteria of these areas, it is a necessity to examine the use of recreation areas for physical activity. The starting point of the study is to investigate the use of outdoor recreation areas for increased physical activity, especially in the covid 19 process, in the light of demographic data. For this reason, the aim of the research is to determine the factors that affect the venue choices of users who prefer physical activity recreation areas during the covid-19 process. In this study, which was designed using a descriptive scanning design, convenience sampling was chosen from the non-probability sampling methods. The population of the research consists of adults between the ages of 18-65 residing in Konya and using recreational areas, while the sample group is 450 people. The data of the study were obtained by using the "Physical Activity Space Evaluation" scale. The scale has two sub-dimensions as constraints of venue selection for physical activity and site selection constraints. In the analysis part of the data, t-test and ANOVA tests were used for independent samples. According to the findings, it was determined that the sub-dimension of space selection differed significantly in women compared to men, and the sub-dimension on constraints differed significantly in men compared to women. As a result, it shows that the cleanliness of the area, the lighting and the well-keptness of the area in the preference of recreation areas for physical activity, the factors that affect the area preference are combined with the elements of cleanliness and security. Another result is that it has been determined that the lack of trees in the area is the most effective constraint in the selection of the place. PubDate: Mon, 27 Dec 2021 00:00:00 +030

The sample of this population consisted of 210 adolescent students, 100 of whom were male and 110 female, who were selected by convenience sampling method. The data in the research were obtained from 3 different scales. The first section of the measurement tool; it was the Physical Activity Scale for Adolescents developed and adapted into Turkish The second one; it was the Healthy Lifestyle Behaviors II Scale. The last section of measurement tool was the Personal Information Form. To the collected data; descriptive statistics, independent groups t-test, and Pearson correlation analysis were used. When the findings of the study's healthy lifestyle students' behaviors were examined; there was a significant difference according to gender, (p <.05). When the physical activity findings of the research were examined; students differ significantly according to gender, (p <.05). Finally, negative and low-level significant relationships were found between body mass index and interpersonal relationships.
