  • Sporcuların Yaralanma Kaygı Düzeylerinin İncelenmesi

    • Authors: Mehmet Şerif ÖKMEN; Mehmet SARIKAYA
Abstract: Amaç: Araştırmamız Mardin ilinde aktif olan erkek sporcuların yaralanma kaygı düzeylerini farklı değişkenler ile incelenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır.

  • Investigation of the Relationship Between Foot Pressure Types and Postures
of Athletics and Combat Child Athletes

    • Authors: Sema ARSLAN KABASAKAL; Mehmet ÜNAL, Adil Deniz DURU
Abstract: Aim: The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between foot pressure type, and postural translations in children aged 7-11 years who have been in athletics, and combat sports. Methods: Child athletes between the ages of 7-11, who are registered to Üsküdar sports centers, and who continue one of the athletics, and combat sports branches, were included in the study on a voluntary basis. Static pedobarographic, and 3D posture measurements of the participants were taken. Skewness, kurtosis values, descriptive statistics, Independent sample T test, Pearson Chi-Square test, and Factorial MANOVA test were used in the statistics of the data and p<0,05 was accepted for statistical significance. Results: There was no statistically significant difference between the foot pressure types of the participants according to the branch (p>0.05). According to the branch, only a significant difference was observed between the forward and backward translation values of the head (p<0.05). It was determined that branch, and foot pressure types did not have a significant effect on postural translations (p>0.05).Conclusion: As a result of the study, it can be said that the foot pressure types are similar in the participant. The postural difference on the basis of branch is only due to the head region. It can be thought that the type of foot pressure types has no effect on posture variables in the this sports branches. Similar studies should be conducted on participants with a higher year of doing sports.

  • The Importance of Mindfulness in terms of Challenge and Threat Perception
           in Sports

    • Authors: Burcu Sıla GÖNCÜ; Burak BALCI
Abstract: The aim of this study was to examine the Mindfulness levels of athletes and their perceptions of challenge and Threat in sports. The participant group consisted of 230 male and 154 female athletes who had a sports background and were enrolled in a university in the Eastern Anatolia region of Turkey. Personal information forms, the Sports Mindfulness Scale, and the Sports challenge and Threat Scale were used as data collection tools. Due to the normal distribution of the data, t-test was used to compare the two groups, one-way ANOVA test was used for comparisons of more than two groups, Tukey's multiple comparison test was used, and Pearson Correlation analysis was performed to determine the relationships between variables. As a result of the analyses, a significant difference was found in favor of men in thechallenge and Threat sub-dimensions, and in favor of those who had been engaged in sports for 4 years or more in the Mindfulness and threat sub-dimensions. A moderate positive correlation was found between conscious awareness levels and the competition sub-dimension, while a low negative correlation was found with the threat sub-dimension. In conclusion, it was found that as athletes'Mindfulness levels increase, their perception of Challenge increases, and as their Mindfulness levels decrease, their perception of threat increases.
