      Pages: 163 - 170
Abstract: Objective: identify possible differences between winning and losing teams in the use of “fast execution of throw-off after a goal”, depending on the moments of the game when it occurs, the way it ends, and the effectiveness obtained. Methodology: 44 games (2018 European Men Championship). Results: i) in numerical equality, winning teams use more often this strategy compared to the defeated teams and succeed to find solutions that allows them to finish closer to the goal; ii) in numerical superiority of 1 player, defeated teams choose this strategy more often; iii) in numerical inferiority both teams clearly choose not to use or use only in very specific cases this strategy; iv) when they are losing by more than 3 goals the winning teams use less times, this strategy; v) when tied, winning teams clearly use this strategy more often; vi) winning teams obtain more situations of shoot when using this tactical action, and the defeated teams finish these attack sequences more often in technical failures. Conclusion: the “Fast execution of throw-off after a goal” is a collective tactical action that can be use, as an indicator of the differentiation of the final result of the teams.

Abstract
The intervention of female basketball Players during competition has not been widely studied. In addition, it is necessary to differentiate their intervention according to the specific position they occupy. The intervention of the Players is in turn conditioned by the competitive phase. The objectives of this work were to identify the differences in the performance indicators in professional basketball Players based on their role and discover the differences in the performance indicators based on the competition phase. For this, an empirical, descriptive and observational study was carried out, analyzing 572 matches of the 78 days of the regular phase and 20 of the Play-Offs between the 2015/2016, 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 seasons. The game indicators recorded by the competition were normalized according to the minutes Played in order to make comparisons. The Mann-Whitney U Test was performed to identify differences in performance indicators between specific roles in function of competition phase. A change in the intervention of the Players is identified depending on the competition phase. The bases have a greater contribution in the field shots and 2 points during the regular league. Guards and power forwards increase their effectiveness in the Play-Offs on 3-point shooting. Power forwards during the regular season provide more free throws. Finally, during the PlayOffs, the collective game is favored by the contribution of the bases through assists and the defensive game with the contribution of the pivots, through rebounds and the defensive intensity of the forwards. Relevant information can have important applications such as training preparation, prior planning of the competition, making changes to matches, specific instructions on Players and making signings that meet the needs of the team.

Abstract
Basketball is a sport of deceptions, but also of numbers, and the knowledge of its internal logic has benefited for decades from the contributions of colleagues such as Sampaio and Ibáñez-Godoy. Accepting that NBA playoffs are the most demanding competition in our sport, we set two complementary goals for this study: to provide the a priory probabilities associated with field shots based on space and time, and to show the way we followed to calculate them in the R environment.
Our analyses allow us to provide the probability distributions associated with field shots based on clock-time and court position, as shown in Table1. In addition, by simple logit models we can see and messure the impact that distances and moments dring the match (period and minute) have on the probability of success.
The best basketball players in the world maximize the utility of their shots without being able to escape the space-time logic of the game: the balance between attack and defense comes to light in the form of probabilistic functions with high linearity, especially in terms of space, and points to interesting forward-looking questions. In this sense, our study provides general statistical basis for understanding this logic, allowing in the future to advance in better informed, bayesian study models.
