New conditions on the nonlinear terms are given to pledge the equivalence. PubDate: 2022-01-30 Issue No:Vol. 33, No. 2 (2022)

Authors:Ramez AL-SHORBASSI, Aleem Ali Pages: 23 - 36 Abstract: Indian youth are smartphone addicted due to endless and easily accessible functions such as Whatsapp, Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Online Games, and Online Services etc. In particular today's youngsters are more affected due to use of their smart phones on extreme limits. Smartphone addiction is an unavoidable situation which stops personal development, social interactions, peer influence among youths, decrease in academic success and exacerbate some psychological and mental health issues. Hence, the study on smartphone addiction among youths is the requirement of time. Like other real world problems smartphone addiction problem have uncertain and vague information. Fuzzy set theory effectively and efficiently deal with the uncertain and vague information. Analytical hierarchy process is a multiple criteria decision making technique, which prioritize and ranked a set of alternatives. The concept of fuzzy sets with analytical hierarchy process is known as fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (Fuzzy AHP), which is a more powerful, multiple criteria decision making technique. Fuzzy AHP easily handle uncertainty and gives better results in decision making problems. In this work, we identify and ranked the smartphone addiction factors in the Indian youths using Chang’s [8] extent analysis method in the fuzzy environment. Authors:Praphull Chhabra Pages: 37 - 49 Abstract: Several authors had been done a quality work on discriminating (divergence) measures based on the convex or arched functions, but in this article I introduced a concept of 3- convex function based on the divided difference or isolated contrast. Further, new inequalities on Jain- Saraswat`s functional discrimination (2013) have been explained by considering 3- convex function. Also, some interesting relations among many discriminations, like: Contra harmonic mean discrimination, Chi- square discrimination, Triangular discrimination, Harmonic mean discrimination, Relative JS discrimination, Relative AG discrimination etc., have been evaluated by using the obtained inequalities. Also, I explained the infinite series version of the Jain- saraswat`s functional discrimination in terms of the parametric Chi- r discrimination by using the Taylor’s series with both Lagrange’s and Cauchy’s form of remainders.
