Abstract: Innovation has prime importance and significant contribution in advancement of humanity as a whole. Its significance cannot be denied by any organization, country, community or any other entity. It’s equally important for public as well as private sectors, developed or developing nations, be it western or oriental. Still, the scholastic attention to study innovation is inclined more towards private sectors in western developed countries. It is attempted here to study issues related to innovation in a different context using primary data. This study attempts to find out relationship between strategy typology and innovation. Study reveals that majority of PSEs have adopted Defender type of strategy and prevalently pursuing Process innovation followed by Market innovation. MANOVA test confirms this relationship between Defender type of strategy and Process innovation. The study also provides an innovation audit of Indian PSEs in manufacturing sector. Authors:Le Thanh; Ha, Phuc, Hai Nguyen, Xuan, Nam Pham, Dinh, Bao Ho Pages: 1 - 28 Abstract: Our paper empirically examines the influence of the digital transformation process on life expectancy employing a sample of 20 European countries over the period from 2015 to 2020. In the models, digitalization is captured by six measures. Our results illustrate that using the internet and online activities reduce life expectancy, whereas business digitization, e-commerce, digital public services, and higher digital skills in the population can improve the life expectancy of men and women, leading to a reduction in the gender gap. Furthermore, we detect that men are significantly more affected by the implementation of digital transformation, while online administrative procedures also lead to a rise in life expectancy but only in women. These effects only exist in the long term. We also find that digital connectivity, business digitization, e-commerce, and digital skills help people survive longer during the Covid-19 pandemic. Authors:Bhatt; Vaidik, Chakraborty, Samyadip Pages: 1 - 17 Abstract: Healthcare is not left behind in the technological era, where almost every industry uses technological advances to serve customers' needs and wants. Increasingly, patients and doctors are using modern technological infrastructure to deliver care services. This study focuses on the intrinsic factors that lead to provider adoption of mHealth. The study uses PLS-SEM and neural networks to build on UTAUT theory. Study collects data from 316 care providers practicing in government and private health canters, hospitals and clinic found that intrinsic factors like self-efficacy, personal innovativeness, and performance expectancy positively related to mHealth adoption by physicians, whereas technology anxiety negatively related to adoption behaviour. Effort expectancy is not significant, indicating that m-Health adoption is driven by usefulness and result rather than convenience. If the expertise is not easily available, the physician's best interest for the patient may often drive them to adopt m-Health. Authors:AlAbri; Raya, Shaikh, Abdul Khalique, Ali, Saqib, Al-Badi, Ali Hamad Pages: 1 - 29 Abstract: Blockchain technology provides a stable spot in electronic voting systems by providing a transparent platform for an election which prevents the failures faced by the traditional electronic voting systems and makes it a more accurate and secure platform for voting. However, little attention has been paid to the possible impacts of new technological disruptions on politics and the electoral systems. The main goal of this paper is to design a framework for electronic voting systems using Blockchain technology. To achieve this goal, the paper outlines these three objectives: (1) to explore and identify the challenges in existing voting systems, (2) to identify the methods that could enhance the security and privacy of the electoral voting systems using Blockchain technology, and (3) to design a framework for electronic voting systems that use Blockchain technology in order to address the flaws in current voting systems. A mixed approach is applied in this study to explore the opportunities and challenges of the Blockchain voting system, and design the framework accordingly. Authors:Kuberkar; Sachin, Singhal, Tarun Kumar, Singh, Shikha Pages: 1 - 21 Abstract: With the rollout of the smart city initiative in India, this study explores potential risks and opportunities in adopting artificial intelligence (AI) for citizen services. The study deploys expert interview technique and the data collected from various sources are analyzed using qualitative analysis. It was found that AI implementation needs a critical examination of various socio-technological factors to avoid any undesirable impacts on citizens. Fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethics (FATE) play an important role during the design and execution of AI-based systems. This study provides vital insights into AI implications to smart city managers, citizen groups, and policymakers while delivering promised smart city experience. The study has social implications in terms of ensuring that proper guidelines are developed for using AI technology for citizen services, thereby bridging the ever-critical trust gap between citizens and city administration. Authors:Le Thanh; Ha Pages: 1 - 27 Abstract: Our article is the first to empirically analyze the effects of digitalization on corruption prevalence by using a sample of 27 European countries over the period 2015-2020. We utilize the digital economy and society index capturing five diverse aspects of digital transformation: connectivity, human capital, use of the internet, integration of digital technology, and digital public services to reflect digital performance. We also consider influences of specific digital activities, such as online transactions, business digitization, e-Commerce, and e-Government. Our results indicate that digitalization, especially the use of internet services and digital public services reduced the prevalence of corruption in European countries. However, the effect of digital transformation only appears in the long run. Notably, we highlight the importance of online administrative procedures on combating corruption, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. Authors:Jayan V; , Alathur, Sreejith Pages: 1 - 21 Abstract: Most of the countries are heading to Government 3.0 with the advent of Information Communication Technology (ICT). Information Integration has to be done with the support of different stakeholders for an effective e-Governance ecosystem. The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and high-end processors had solved the issues to some extent. But the socio-political intervention is making the Government Inter-Organizational Information Integration (GIII) difficult when information turns into misinformation. Misinformation in social network sites (SNS) is increasing alarmingly and is also affecting the healthcare sector. The study is focused on the trends in decreasing vaccination rates in India during the vaccination drive. Twitter data, news reports, and social media posts during the MR vaccination program in India are taken into consideration for the analysis. The vaccine hesitancy is also associated with political, religious, Psychological, and Economic factors. Government 3.0 has got its power to overcome the misinformation in the healthcare programs.
