Authors:Wahyuni Wulansari Abstract: Neurodegenerative disease is one of the diseases that appears with age, but there is no efficient approach to inhibit cell damage caused by the cells themselves. Pluripotent Stem Cells (PSC) is one of the alternative therapeutic approaches to inhibit neurodegenerative progression, but in the process of expansion, PSCs experience problems with their differentiation technique which is considered less than optimal. Search results on PubMed, ResearchGuide, Elsevier found 500 articles related to Pluripotent Stem Cells (PSC). Twenty articles met the inclusion criteria and were used for this literature review. The results of the review present that the 3D technique is a neuronal differentiation technique which has good output and is able to resemble the conditions of its development in vivo. The use of growth factors such as FGF2, PDGF, IGF1, T3, FGF, EGF and CNTF can also overcome the problem of differentiation of several target cells in neurodegenerative therapy as neurons, astrocytes, and oligodendrocytes. Authors:Roviana Nurda Agustin Abstract: Sexual violence against lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people is a public health problem that needs attention. It relates to the impact of physical, psychological, and social health including the risk of increasing cases of HIV/AIDS. The objective of this literature review is to identify the description of sexual violence against LGBT people. Search results on PubMed, ScienceDirect, and ProQuest found 527 articles associated with sexual violence against LGBT people. Seven articles met the inclusion criteria and were employed for this literature review. There were 5 themes which were discovered related to sexual violence against LGBT, encompassing the type and number of cases of sexual violence against LGBT; risk factors for sexual violence against LGBT people; perpetrators of sexual violence against LGBT; and the impact of sexual violence on LGBT people. In conclusion, cases of sexual violence against LGBT people tend to be higher than heterosexual groups. Sexual violence against LGBT is a complex problem and has an impact on the physical and mental health of victims. Thus, the implementation, utilization and success of programs related to the prevention and handling of sexual violence against LGBT groups need to be evaluated so that the program runs optimally. Authors:Siti Rafingah Rafingah, seni wati ruddin, Shinta Silaswati Silaswati Abstract: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a new type of respiratory infectious disease caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). using a retrospective cohort study design approach. The sample is 3,751, using pusrposive sampling. The analysis used Kaplan Meier and cox regression. The picture of survival function shows the difference in the average survival of Covid-19 patients without comorbid 78 days and with comorbid 23 days with HR 4.4. Comorbid Covid-19 patients have a lower survival and a higher risk of death. PubDate: 2022-03-26 Issue No:Vol. 6, No. 1 (2022)
Authors:Vivi Retno Intening Abstract: Online Learning Strategies in Inter-Professional Education (IPE) for Healthcare Students as Inter-Professional Collaboration (IPC) Optimization. This research involved students and facilitators. This study aims to: 1) Determine the level of their knowledge of IPE and online learning; 2) Develop an online IPE curriculum / module through a Focus Group Discussion (FGD); 3) Observe the implementation of pre and post IPE operation of the online IPE curriculum / module; 4) Evaluate the execution of the online IPE; 5) Prepare instrument of evaluation for IPC.Quantitative Descriptive Method is applied to assess the level of participants knowledge as well as pre and post evaluation of the online IPE curriculum / module. Qualitative Descriptive Phenomenology Approach was chosen for the evaluation of the implementation of IPE. Purposive Sampling was applied resulting in: 139 students and 24 facilitators.Qualitative data analysis was carried out by determining coding, categories and themes, using triangulation of sourcesThe study results: the level of students and facilitators knowledge tends to be high. In the pre and post implementation of the online IPE curriculum / module, it tends to decline in the aspect of skills. The results of interviews conducted with 4 online IPE participant students results in 36 coding, 4 categories, and 1 theme. Interviews with 4 facilitators results in 64 coding, 5 categories, and 3 themes. PubDate: 2022-03-26 Issue No:Vol. 6, No. 1 (2022)
Authors:Eko Arianto Abstract: Therapy is a form of health service to develop, maintain, and restore body movement and function by using manual handling and equipment. One of the therapies that many people need is for relaxation and reducing fatigue, one alternative is to use water as a medium, one simple example is taking a bath. The pressure and temperature of the water used for shower baths has been shown to provide physiological changes to the bathing person. Therefore, research is needed to obtain data on the size of the optimal water pressure and temperature for shower therapy. It is necessary to regulate the temperature and water pressure on the shower therapy device to obtain data on the effect of physiological water pressure and temperature on patients when doing shower therapy. With the design of the shower therapy device, more observations can be made on the influence of water pressure and temperature. There are many possible physiological changes in the body due to the influence of water pressure and temperature during a shower, such as the heart rate that can be observed.
