Authors: Vivek s Patil, Yash D Patil, Yash D. Patil, Azam Z. Shaikh
      Pages: 1 - 7
Abstract: Chocolate is a favorite food for children, but medicines are a disliked substance. The purpose of this study is to design and manufacture chocolate. Also known as chocolate drug delivery. The main purpose of this study was to prescribe chocolate containing medicines. H. Medicinal chocolate to prevent illness. Viral infections are the most common illness in children's cough. Azardica indica and curcumalonga, neem and turmeric are herbal medicines with multiple medicinal properties, one of which is antitussive. Medicinal chocolate formulations commonly used for imbalanced infections increase patient compliance. Therefore, it is necessary to formulate chocolate with an ethanol extract of neem and turmeric, which has an antitussive effect. The chocolate product produced is evaluated for general appearance, pH, stability, bloom test, dimensions, hardness and exhibits excellent drug release properties.

      Pages: 8 - 12
Abstract: Syzygium cumini is commonly known as Jamun fruit and belongs to Myrtaceae family. It contains various nutritional values like sugars, vitamins, lipids, carbohydrate content, organic acids, minerals. Mainly this seed contains various phytochemicals like phenolic compounds (gallic, ferulic, caffeic), flavonoids (quercetin, rutin, kaempferol), carotenoids (β-carotene, γ-carotene, lycopene) and other compounds are present. This seed also shows pharmacological properties like antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antimutagenic, enzyme inhibitory and tonic effects etc. In this experiment, methanol is the best solvent for the extraction of TPC from seeds of Syzygium cumini. It shows 19µg/ml concentration. Then methanolic plant extract was poured in to column chromatography for purification of TPC. Here it was enhanced and its concentration was 21.0µg/ml. Here silica gel is adsorbed impurities in plant extract and TPC concentration was enhanced.

Abstract: WHO characterizes adverse drug reaction (ADR) as any reaction to a medication which is harmful and unintended, and which happens at measurements typically utilized as a part of man for prophylaxis, analysis or treatment of illness or for the alteration of physiological capacity. The review reveals that nursing staffs have unfortunate information and unfortunate practice yet great in disposition towards ADR announcing. Despite the fact that they have revealed a more noteworthy number of extreme ADRs, they played out no further intercessions to forestall it. The main consideration which deters them from announcing ADR is a patient privacy issue and it was more essential to oversee patient. Reality of response, bizarreness of response, contribution of new medication, trust in analysis of ADR was the variables that urge nursing staffs to report ADR. In light of the results of the current review following suggestions are finished up. ADR revealing structures ought to be uninhibitedly accessible in all clinics as it can further develop the detailing paces of ADR in the country. ADR detailing ought to be obligatory for all medical services experts. Every medical clinic ought to have an information base on ADR which ought to be considered by medical services experts. The nursing schedule educational program should be changed to incorporate ADR and pharmacovigilance. Constant instruction program and studio need to be directed routinely connect with how and where to report ADR.

  • An Assessment of Various Types of Medication Errors in Prescription and
           their Prevention for Effective Treatment

      Authors: Mukesh Kumar
      Pages: 28 - 32
Abstract: Prescription is an important part of the treatment after the patient is diagnosed for the disease by the doctor. It must be an actual indication to the pharmacist and to the patient for the better effective treatment. There must not be anything in prescription which make create confusion to the patient and dispensing persons like pharmacist. As per our traditional systems, prescriptions are usually handwritten in some sectors which are usually very hard to understand by the pharmacist and to the patients also. Although medical council of India timely give directions to physicians or medical professionals to write the medication and prescription in capital letters with salt name and everything in the prescription should be indicated clearly. Sometimes many drugs are prescribed to a single patient for treatment, but it is hardly indicated on prescription regarding the adverse effects of medicines. Ultimately It disturb the proper treatment to be taken by the patients and adversely affect the health of patients. In this paper, various types of common medication errors in prescription are described along with the way of preventing these errors so that proper treatment may be provided to the patients. The role of computer is also described in this paper.

  • The Era of Pharmacology Toward Pharmacogenomics

    • Free pre-print version: Loading...

      Authors: Rajavarman Kittu, Anuja Mishra
      Pages: 33 - 38
Abstract: In both Modern Laboratory medicine as well medical science both the Pharmacogenomics is fast, emerging, outcome driven approach which is generally termed as precision medicine. Understanding the importance of gene-drug association and clinical implementation, effect of drug choices over the clinical subjects are kind of need of hour as it is proof of concept for evidence driven therapeutic approach. Also, in research prospective the genome wide association studies (GWAS) which helps the researches to corelate genotype data captured from the population with drug-response phenotypes gives the scopes to discover the drug efficacy and adverse drug reactions. Also, the concepts of pharmacokinetics or pharmacodynamics are having strong impacts based on the coding regions of the genes in polymorphism resolution which affects the disparate treatment outcomes. This review article focused on highlighting the nomenclatures used in pharmacogenomics, well characterised classifications, definitions provided but serval consortium of pharmacogenomics, understanding the standards of gene-drug corelation, drug efficacy, drug relations in order to improve the clinical implication and outcome of patience.

The society migraine is an ordinary cerebral sickness identify with a repeated headache frequently go along with by vomiting, phonophobia and nausea. According to clinical and epidemiology studies there are number of factor which precipitate the risk of migrant attack. Prevention of migraine includes both Pharmacological and non- pharmacological action. Pharmacological action includes prevention with B-blockers, Calcium channel blockers; tricyclic antidepressants antiepileptic drugs are considered first line preventive treatment and in non-pharmacological included use of nutraceutical. In this article we focused on migraine and its pharmacology, prevention and treatment.
