  • Aplicación de activadores biológicos en dos tipos de compostaje para la
           degradación de residuos orgánicos, Carmen Pampa, Coroico - Bolivia

    • Abstract: Resumen: Uno de los problemas que actualmente se suscitan en centros urbanos y rurales es la generación de basuras domésticas de un 80%. En el Municipio de Coroico hasta la fecha operativamente no cuenta con sistemas de descomposición el cual genera efectos negativos en el medio ambiente. Razón por la cual es necesario buscar alternativas de reutilización de basuras orgánicas. Es en ese sentido, el [Objetivo]: del trabajo fue evaluar la aplicación de activadores biológicos (yogurt, levadura) y un control (testigo) para acelerar la biodegradación de residuos orgánicos (restos de cocina, aserrín, cogollos de plátano, rastrojos vegetales y estiércol de cerdo) a través de dos métodos de compostaje en cajón y en pila en la descomposición. [Metodología] Se emplearon dos tipos de compostera (cajón y pila) a los cuales se adicionó desechos orgánicos. A cada uno de ellos, se agregó activadores biológicos (yogurt y levadura) y un control. El diseño aplicado fue DBA con arreglo bifactorial, con tres repeticiones. Las variables evaluadas son: temperatura y pH del sustrato, descenso del sustrato y porcentaje de descomposición. [Resultados]: La temperatura del sustrato por efecto de los activadores de yogurt y levadura se incrementó a 60ºC con relación al control. El pH y la altura del sustrato presentaron un similar comportamiento entre activadores no ocurriendo lo mismo con el control. Al cabo de 90 días, los dos tipos de activadores fueron más eficientes en la descomposición del compost en 93% y 94% que sin estos (56%). [Conclusión] La descomposición de restos orgánicos fue efectiva por la aplicación de los activadores (yogurt y levadura) que, en ausencia de estos, y el tipo de compostera cajón fue la más efectiva en la descomposición. : One of the problems that currently arise in urban and rural centers is the generation of 80% domestic waste. In the Municipality of Coroico, to date, it does not have operational decomposition systems, which generate negative effects on the environment. Reason why it is necessary to look for alternatives for the reuse of organic waste. In this sense, the [Objective]: of the work was to evaluate the application of biological activators (yogurt, yeast) and a control (control) to accelerate the biodegradation of organic waste (kitchen scraps, sawdust, banana buds, vegetable stubble and pig manure) through two methods of composting in bin and pile in decomposition. [Methodology] Two types of compost bins (drawer and pile) were used, to which organic waste was added. Biological activators (yogurt and yeast) and a control were added to each of them. The applied design was DBA with bifactorial arrangement, with three repetitions. The variables evaluated are: temperature and pH of the substrate, decrease in the substrate and percentage of decomposition. [Results]: The temperature of the substrate due to the effect of the yogurt and yeast activators increased to 60ºC in relation to the control. The pH and the height of the substrate presented a similar behavior between activators, but the same did not occur with the control. After 90 days, the two types of activators were 93% and 94% more efficient in compost decomposition than without them (56%). [Conclusion] The decomposition of organic remains was effective by the application of activators (yogurt and yeast) which, in the absence of these, and the type of drawer composter was the most effective in decomposition.
       
  • Estudio comparativo de los algoritmos de criptografía simétrica
           AES, 3DES y ChaCha20

    • Abstract: Resumen: El constante avance de la tecnología incrementa cada vez más la dependencia del internet y el envío de información a través de la misma, aumenta también la necesidad de seguridad en la red y los dispositivos conectados a ella. Para mantener la seguridad de toda esta información se crearon los algoritmos de encriptación, los cuales están encargados de cifrar los datos de modo que sólo quienes estén autorizados puedan entenderlos. Las crecientes amenazas de seguridad han forzado la creación continua de distintos algoritmos de encriptación, recientemente se introdujo el algoritmo ChaCha20 que trata de sustituir a su predecesor el Salsa20, el cual era considerablemente rápido y bastante confiable respecto a su seguridad. El ChaCha20 promete aumentar la difusión respecto a su predecesor para mejorar su seguridad sin comprometer su rendimiento. Sin embargo, poco se sabe de su eficiencia en comparación a los otros algoritmos, lo cual limita una decisión racional al momento de elegir si utilizarlo o no. Este artículo presenta un estudio empírico en el cual comparamos el rendimiento de ChaCha20 con otros dos algoritmos de encriptación AES, y 3DES. En este artículo evaluamos el tiempo de ejecución, consumo de CPU y consumo de energía que toma cada uno de los algoritmos para encriptar y des-encriptar información. Se desarrolló un experimento con 150 archivos de distintos formatos y tamaños para probar cada algoritmo. Se determinó que el algoritmo ChaCha20 es el más rápido, AES es el que menos CPU consume y no existe diferencia significativa en el consumo de energía de ninguno de los algoritmos. : The constant advancement of technology increases the dependence on the Internet and the sending of information through it, it also increases the need for security in the network and the devices connected to it. To maintain the security of all this information, encryption algorithms were created, which are in charge of encrypting the data so that only those who are authorized can understand it. The increasing security threats have forced the continuous creation of different encryption algorithms, recently the ChaCha20 algorithm was introduced, which tries to replace its predecessor, Salsa20, which was considerably fast and quite reliable regarding its security. The ChaCha20 promises to increase the spread compared to its predecessor to improve its security without compromising its performance. However, little is known about its efficiency compared to other algorithms, which limits a rational decision when choosing whether to use it or not. This article presents an empirical study in which we compared the performance of ChaCha20 with two other encryption algorithms AES, and 3DES. In this article we evaluate the execution time, CPU consumption and energy consumption that each of the algorithms take to encrypt and decrypt information. An experiment with 150 files of different formats and sizes was developed to test each algorithm. It was determined that the ChaCha20 algorithm is the fastest, AES is the one that consumes the least CPU and there is no significant difference in the power consumption of any of the algorithms.
       
  • Desempeño y Robustez de la Respuesta de un AVR con PID Optimizado
           Mediante el Algoritmo Seno Coseno (SCA)

    • Abstract: Resumen: Este trabajo presenta el análisis del comportamiento, desempeño y robustez del sistema de control de lazo cerrado de un Regulador Automático de Tensión (AVR) a través de un controlador PID del tipo dependiente (ANSI/ISA), donde las ganancias proporcional, integral y derivativa se sintonizan empleando dos métodos, el método de optimización meta heurística denominado Algoritmo Seno Coseno (Sine-Coseno Algorithm) y el método de última ganancia de Ziegler- Nichols. Son presentados los modelos del AVR y el controlador, son realizadas simulaciones empleando el software MatLab-Simulink®. Finalmente, son presentados resultados de simulación entre los dos métodos aquí descritos. : This work presents the analysis of the behavior, performance and robustness of the closed loop control system of an Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) through a dependent type PID controller (ANSI/ISA), where the proportional, integral and derivative gains are tuned using two methods, the metaheuristic optimization method called the Sine-Cosine Algorithm and the Ziegler- Nichols last-gain method. The models of the AVR and the controller are presented, simulations are carried out using the MatLab-Simulink® software. Finally, simulation results between the two methods presented are provided.
       
  • Modelamiento y simulación de un robot SCARA de tres grados de libertad
           empleando SolidWorks y Matlab/Simulink®

    • Abstract: Este trabajo presenta el modelado y simulación de un robot SCARA de 3 grados de libertad, establece los aspectos comparativos entre el método Euler-Lagrange y el uso de Solidworks para el seguimiento de trayectorias. Son presentados el modelo cinemático y dinámico del robot SCARA considerando la estructura modelada en SolidWorks, en este último se incluye la estructura mecánica, selección de material y su respectivo análisis estructural. Una vez finalizado el modelo CAD del robot SCARA, se procedió a la exportación del modelo al entorno de Matlab/Simulink® mediante el complemento de Simscape Multibody. Paralelamente, se presenta un modelo matricial basado en el método de Euler-Lagrange, adicionalmente el complemento de Simscape Multibody permitió realizar el dimensionado de los actuadores. Con los modelos basados en matrices y CAD son realizadas simulaciones y se establecen comparaciones entre ambos modelos considerando la trayectoria planeada. Se establecen ventajas y desventajas sobre el uso de ambos modelos.This paper presents the modeling and simulation of a SCARA robot with 3 degrees of freedom, establishes the comparative aspects between the Euler- Lagrange method and the use of Solidworks for trajectory tracking. The kinematic and dynamic model of the SCARA robot is presented considering the structure modeled in SolidWorks, in the latter the mechanical structure, material selection and its respective structural analysis are included. Once the CAD model of the SCARA robot was finished, the model was exported to the Matlab/Simulink® environment using the Simscape Multibody plugin. In parallel, a matrix model based on the Euler-Lagrange method is presented, additionally the Simscape Multibody plugin allowed the sizing of the necessary actuators for the robot. With the models based on matrixes and CAD, simulations are carried out and comparisons are established between both models considering the planned trajectory. Advantages and disadvantages of the use of both models are established.
       
  • Germinación in vitro de Epidendrum secundum con diferentes agentes
           gelificantes y concentraciones de agua de coco

    • Abstract: Resumen: Las orquídeas carecen de endospermo, es por ello que la germinación es baja, y además en condiciones naturales dependen de hongos micorrizicos para su sobrevivencia. Se tiene la alternativa de cultivarlas en condiciones in vitro para garantizar la germinación, debido a que le facilita condiciones químicas (medio de cultivo) y físicas para el establecimiento, para este fin los medios más empleados son Murashige y Skoog (MS), Vacin Wein (VW), Knudson C (KC), pero también, en otros trabajos emplearon medios basales de calidad baja (PA), como sales para la fertilización química de cultivos. En el presente estudio se realizó pruebas de germinación en Epidendrun secundum en medios alternativos con sales de cultivo hidropónico (macro y micronutrientes) suplementados con 10% y 20% de agua de coco (AC) y tipos de gelificantes (gelrite, agar y carragenina). Las semillas fueron desinfectadas con 0.5% de NaClO por 15 min. Fueron cultivados en la cámara de crecimiento a 25°C fotoperiodo de 16/8 horas luz y oscuridad, durante 105 días. Se evaluó el porcentaje de germinación, mortalidad y descripción de fases de desarrollo en la germinación. Epidendrum secundum presentó un 85,8% de geminación en el medio con gelrite con sales de macro y micronutrientes de hidroponía y con la adición de 20% de agua de coco. La germinación fue mejor (86,4%) con 20% de AC, que con 10% de AC que fue de (78,1%). No obstante, con la adición de carragenina, los protocormos germinados tienden a morirse en un 1,8%. : Orchids lack endosperm, which is why germination is low, and under natural conditions, they depend on mycorrhizal fungi for their survival. There is the alternative of cultivating them in vitro conditions to guarantee germination,because it facilitates chemical (culture medium) and physical conditions for the establishment, for this purpose the most used media are Murashige and Skoog (MS), Vacin Wein (VW), Knudson C (KC), but also, in other works, low-quality basal media (PA) were used, such as salts for chemical fertilization of crops. In the present study, germination tests were carried out on Epidendrun secundum in alternative media with hydroponic culture salts (macro and micronutrients) supplemented with 10% and 20% coconut water (AC) and types of gelling agents (gelrite, agar and carrageenan). The seeds disinfected with 0.5% NaClO for 15 min. They were cultivated in the growth chamber at 25°C with a photoperiod of 16/8 hours of light and darkness, for 105 days. The percentage of germination, mortality and description of development phases in germination evaluated. Epidendrum secundum presented 85.8% germination in the gelrite medium with macro and micronutrient salts from hydroponics and with the addition of 20% coconut water. Germination was better (86.4%) with 20% CA, than with 10% CA, which was (78.1%). However, with the addition of carrageenan, germinated protocorms tend to die by 1.8%.
