  • Identifikasi Miskonsepsi Materi Kesetimbangan Kimia pada Siswa SMA
           Menggunakan Tes Three Tier Berbasis Web

      Abstract: Miskonsepsi merupakan masalah besar yang telah menjadi pusat perhatian bagi para pendidik dan peneliti pendidikan pada mata pelajaran ilmu pengetahuan alam, khususnya kimia. Salah satu  materi dalam kimia yang dianggap siswa cukup sulit sehingga tinggi kemungkinannya untuk terjadi miskonsepsi adalah materi kesetimbangan kimia. Miskonsepsi pada siswa perlu diidentifikasi dengan cepat supaya dapat segera ditangani sehingga tidak menganggu pembelajaran selanjutnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi kesetimbangan kimia menggunakan tes three tier berbasis web. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Responden pada penelitian ini adalah 178 siswa SMA kelas 11. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan persentase rata-rata miskonsepsi yang dialami siswa pada setiap konsep dalam materi kesetimbangan kimia berkisar antara 43,91% - 62,06%. Siswa mengalami miskonsepsi pada konsep kesetimbangan kimia, konsep tetapan kesetimbangan kimia, dan konsep Prinsip Le-Chatelier. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa tes three tier berbasis web dapat mengefisienkan waktu dalam mengolah data dan identifikasi miskonsepsi

  • Pengembangan Novel Grafik Elektronik pada Materi Reaksi Radikal Bebas
           sebagai Media Suplemen Pembelajaran

      Abstract: This research was aimed to produce a valid electronic graphic novel on free radical reaction subject and to find out the student’s response to the developed product. This research employed Research & Development (R&D) method by using Thiagarajan’s 4D model with modification, in which applied only three of four steps in 4D model.  The developed product was validated by experts. The responses toward developed product were collected from the students of Chemistry Education FKIP Untan who have taken organic chemistry course.  Data collection tools used were validation sheets and student’s response questionnaires on the developed product.  The validation’s result from the experts showed that the developed product was very proper in terms of content, presentation, linguistic, and graphic aspects with consecutive total scores of 94.0%, 95.0%, 89.0%, and 100,00% respectively. The results of the student’s responses in small group trials and in large group trials were of 82.5% with high category and of 83.2% with very high category, respectively.  Thus, this electronic graphic novel on radical reaction has very good potential as a learning media to attract students to learn free radical reaction and its application in daily life.

  • Pengembangan Bahan Ajar Berbasis Instructional Approach Learning pada Mata
           Kuliah Kemampuan Dasar Mengajar Kimia

      Abstract: Teachers must have competency standards in carrying out their duties. The competencies that must be possessed by professional teachers are pedagogic competence, professional competence, personal competence and social competence. In order for students to master the four competence and basic skills of teaching it is necessary to develop modul materials based on instructional approach learning. The purpose of this research is to develop modul materials. Ths research following 3D model of Thiagarajan which consists of the definition stage, the design stage and the development stage.  The result of the research shows are the validity of the material aspect is 97.5% and the media is 87.5% in valid criteria. Practicality based on the value of the student response questionnaire in the individual trial was 95.8% and the small group test wa 89.6% which was considered very practical.

           Argument-Driven Inquiry untuk Melatih Keterampilan Argumentasi Ilmiah

      Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran materi larutan elektrolit dan larutan non elektrolit berbasis model pembelajaran Argument-Driven Inquiry yang valid untuk melatih keterampilan argumentasi ilmiah siswa SMA. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran menggunakan model 4D (Four D), yang meliputi tahap pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (develop), serta tahap penyebaran (dissemination). Namun dalam pelaksanaannya, penelitian ini terbatas hanya sampai pada tahap develope. Instrumen pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Temuan hasil penelitian, yaitu perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan meliputi buku siswa, RPP, LKPD, video pembelajaran dan instrumen tes keterampilan argumentasi ilmiah  telah memiliki validitas dengan kategori sangat valid; Hasil penelitian telah menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit berbasis model pembelajaran Argument-Driven Inquiry telah memenuhi syarat valid dari segi isi dan konstruk.

  • Pengembangan Lembar Kerja Siswa Berpendekatan Inkuiri Terbimbing pada
           Konsep Kelarutan

      Abstract: Penelitian Research and Development (R&D) ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Siswa berpendekatan inkuiri terbimbing pada materi kelarutan yang layak, berkualitas baik, dan efektif. Metode penelitan dilakukan melalui 4 tahap yakni pendahuluan, perencanaan, penyusunan dan evaluasi mengacu pada Teknis Pengembangan Bahan Ajar yang diterbitkan oleh Departemen Pendidikan Nasional. Teknik pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan lembar validasi, angket tanggapan dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kelayakan, kualitas dan keefektifan produk pengembangan. Komponen isi dan penyajian dinyatakan sangat layak sedangkan komponen Bahasa dan kegrafikan dinyatakan layak. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian maka kualitas Lembar Kerja Siswa menurut para ahli adalah sangat baik sesuai dengan kriteria BNSP dengan rata-rata skor yang diperoleh sebesar 87,5 %. Keefektifan LKS ditinjau dari ketuntasan klasikal yakni sebesar 3,1 % yang menunjukkan bahwa LKS tidak efektif. Berdasarkan data yang telah dihimpun dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan melakukan empat tahap pengembangan yakni pendahuluan, perencanaan, penyusunan dan evaluasi dapat menghasilkan LKS yang layak dan berkualitas baik namun agar LKS tersebut efektif perlu dilakukan koordinasi dengan guru kimia SMA pada tahap penyusunannya.

  • Pengembangan Cacing Kimia sebagai Media Pembelajaran Kimia Berbasis
           Android pada Materi Larutan

      Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik, menilai kualitas produk sebagai media pembalajaran kimia secara mandiri, serta mengetahui respon siswa terhadap media pembelajaran kimia berbasis android pada materi larutan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model 4-D (Define, Design, Develop dan Disseminate), tetapi pada disseminate hanya dilakukan uji skala kecil. Pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar penilaian kualitas dan angket respon siswa. Media yang dikembangkan divalidasi oleh dosen ahli media dan ahli materi dan penilaian penggunaan oleh guru kimia dan siswa. Hasil uji validasi ahli materi didapat 93,75% dengan ketegori sangat baik, ahli media  didapat 96,7% dengan kategori sangat baik. Penilaian dilakukan oleh lima orang guru kimia di sekolah negeri dan swasta di Yogyakarta. Respon siswa diambil dari 20 siswa di dua sekolah yang berbeda di Yogkarta. Hasil penilaian guru kimia didapat 81,34% dengan kualitas baik. Adapun respon siswa memberikan hasil sebanyak  84%. Hasil penilaian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran cacing kimia memiliki kualitas baik dan efektif digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran kimia mandiri.

      Abstract: Biokimia adalah ilmu yang mengkaji mengenai substansi dan komposisi pada makhluk hidup. Mata kuliah Biokimia termasuk mata kuliah yang sulit untuk dipelajari oleh mahasiswa. Kesulitan belajar pada materi biokimia menyebabkan hasil belajar mahasiswa Tadris Kimia cenderung rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis kesulitan belajar mahasiswa tadris kimia di UIN SATU Tulungagung pada mata kuliah Biokimia. Metode penelitian menggunakan deskriptif analisis. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan tinjauan literatur. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan observasi, penyebaran angket, dokumentasi, wawancara dosen, serta wawancara mahasiswa. Instrumen penelitian ini terdiri dari lembar wawancara dosen dan mahasiswa, lembar observasi, dan juga lembar angket. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa Tadris Kimia UIN SATU Tulungagung yang telah menempuh mata kuliah Biokimia sebanyak 70 mahasiswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian dan membahasan menunjukkan bahwa kesulitan belajar pada mahasiswa dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor diantaranya kapasitas dosen dalam mengajar, kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menyerap materi pembelajaran, kualitas lingkungan pembelajaran, dan media pembelajaran. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan dalam rangka mengatasi kesulitan belajar pada mahasiswa tadris kimia materi Biokimia adalah dengan melalui pengembangan bahan ajar yang lebih menarik, penggunakan model pembelajaran interaktif, pembuatan video pembelajaran, modul, buku petunjuk praktikum, diskusi interaktif antara dosen dengan mahasiswa, dan kegiatan laboratorium.

  • The Analysis of Students’ Mental Models Using Macromedia Flash-Based
           Learning Media on Molecular Shapes Lesson

      Abstract: The profile of students’ mental model was very needed to know student successes and difficulties in describing macroscopic, submicroscopic, symbolic representation as the characteristics of chemistry. This research aimed at analyzing the profile of students’ mental model of experimental and control groups, and knowing the effect of Macromedia Flash based learning media toward students’ mental model at the tenth grade of MIA.  This research was conducted in the Academic Year of 2019/2020 at State Senior High School 1 Pekanbaru on Molecular Shapes lesson. It was Mixed Method Research integrating qualitative and quantitative researches with explanatory design. There were 20 students as the samples selected by using Simple Random sampling technique.  Instruments used in this research were two-tier diagnostic test and interview to strengthen the data obtained. The results of analyzing the data showed that the profile of students’ mental model of experimental group using Macromedia Flash based learning media overall had 70% intact mental model and 30% alternative mental model, the control group students had 37% intact mental model and 63% alternative mental model.  The research findings also showed that there was an effect of Macromedia Flash based learning media toward students’ mental model.  The result of hypothesis testing that SPSS was used to help showed sig. (2-tailed) 0.000, it meant that Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected.

  • Pengembangan Modul Bermuatan Multirepresentasi pada Materi Hidrokarbon
           untuk SMA/MA

      Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul kimia bermuatan multirepresentasi pada materi hidrokarbon untuk SMA/MA. Jenis penelitian yakni penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan menggunakan model 4D (four -D model) yang diadaptasi dari Thiagarajan. Tahapan model 4D meliputi tahap define (Pendefinisian), tahap design (perancangan), tahap develop (pengembangan), dan tahap disseminate (penyebaran). Akan tetapi penelitian ini hanya dibatasi pada tahap develop (pengembangan). Kelayakan modul dapat ditinjau dari kriteria pada beberapa aspek yakni aspek kelayakan isi/materi, aspek kelayakan penyajian, aspek bahasa, aspek kegrafikaan, dan aspek multirepresentasi yang sesuai dengan komponen modul multirepresentasi, penilaian para ahli, dan respon siswa. Peninjauan produk dilakukan oleh dosen pembimbing, tiga peer reviewer, satu ahli materi, satu ahli media, lima guru kimia SMA/MA, dan sepuluh siswa. Pengambilan data menggunakan lembar angket validasi dan penilaian yang disusun menggunakan skala Likert serta lembar respon siswa yang disusun menggunakan skala Guttman. Hasil validasi dalam penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul pembelajaran kimia pada materi hidrokarbon bermuatan multirepresentasi untuk siswa SMA/MA layak digunakan sebagai sumber belajar. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari persentase hasil validasi dari ahli materi, ahli media, guru kimia SMA/MA, dan repon siswa untuk seluruh aspeknya yakni 73,2%, 91,7%, 91%, dan 91% dengan kualitas modul yang dikembangkan termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik.

  • The Effectiveness of Teaching Materials Loaded with Blended Learning with
           a Scientific Approach on Buffer Solution Learning

      Abstract: The 2013 scientific-based curriculum, teachers must facilitate students to gain knowledge or skills based on the scientific method. The research aims to analyze the effectiveness of teaching materials. This type of research development, teaching materials have valid content and media. Teaching materials are declared effective if there is an increase in students' classical mastery, an increase in the achievement of basic competencies, and students can understand macroscopic, microscopic and symbolic level representations. Quantitative descriptive research method, starting from the analysis of the quality of teaching materials and diagnostic test instruments Two Tier Multiple Choice (TTMC), application of teaching materials, application of questions, data analysis of test results, classical completeness, achievement of basic competencies, and analysis of representational understanding. The research subjects were students of class XI and XII MIPA. The results of the study were obtained from the results of the student's TTMC test on the buffer solution material that had used Teaching Materials. Data analysis was done classically. The results showed that there was an increase in classical completeness by 9%, the achievement of basic competence indicators increased by 8% and concept understanding increased by 6%. So that the teaching materials developed are effective to use.
