      Abstract: ABSTRAK: Polimer elektrolit kitosan/LiClO4/kaolin dengan variasi komposisi LiClO4 dan kaolin teraktivasi asam telah dipreparasi menggunakan metode casting, larutan polimer dalam wadah akrilik yang didahului dengan ektraksi kitosan dari kulit udang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penambahan kaolin teraktivasi asam terhadap konduktivitas polimer elektrolit kitosan/LiClO4/kaolin. Berdasarkan hasil FTIR, kitosan kulit udang menunjukkan adanya gugus fungsi -OH yang tumpang tindih dengan NH2, C-H, C=O, C-O, C-O (C-O-C) serta '-1,4-glikosidik. Selain itu, didapatkan derajat deasetilasi sebesar 87,28% dan rendemen kitosan sebesar 6,54%. Hasil uji konduktivitas menunjukkan konduktivitas terbesar pada komposisi LiClO4 20% dengan nilai konduktivitas  dan  berturut-turut yaitu 4,40 x10-4 S/cm dan 10-4 S/cm. Nilai konduktivitas  dan  pada membran kitosan/LiClO4 yang diperoleh telah memenuhi standar konduktivitas membran polimer untuk aplikasi baterai ion litium yaitu kisaran 10-7 S/cm – 10-3 S/cm.   ABSTRACT: Chitosan/LiClO4/kaolin electrolyte polymers with various compositions of LiClO4 and acid-activated kaolin have been prepared using the polymer solution casting method in an acrylic container which was preceded by the extraction of chitosan from shrimp shells. This study aims to analyze the effect of the addition of acid activated kaolin on the conductivity of the chitosan/LiClO4/kaolin electrolyte polymer. Based on the results of the FTIR of shrimp shell chitosan, it showed that the -OH functional group overlapped with NH2, C-H, C=O, C-O, C-O (C-O-C) and '-1,4-glycosidic. In addition, the degree of deacetylation was 87.28% and the chitosan yield was 6.54%. The conductivity test results show the highest conductivity at 20% LiClO4 composition with conductivity values '' and respectively, namely 4.40 x10-4 S/cm and 10-4 S/cm Conductivity values ) and on the chitosan/LiClO4 membrane obtained have met the polymer membrane conductivity standard for lithium ion battery applications, which is in the range of 10-7 S/cm – 10-3 S/cm.

      Abstract: ABSTRAK: Pencemaran logam berat pada tanah pertanian akibat penggunaan pupuk anorganik seperti pupuk NPK dapat berdampak pada kandungan logam berat dalam tanaman hasil pertanian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan logam Pb dan Cu dalam tanaman bayam dan tingkat bioavailabilitas logam tersebut dalam tanah pertanian dengan pemberian pupuk NPK. Metode yang diterapkan pada penelitian ini adalah digesti basah untuk menetapkan logam berat total dan ekstraksi bertahap untuk spesiasi dan menentukan bioavailabilitas logam berat tersebut. Kuantifikasi Pb dan Cu dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat Atomic Absorption Spectrofotometer (AAS) dengan metode kurva kalibrasi dan adisi standar. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa kandungan logam Pb dan Cu pada tanaman bayam mengalami peningkatan berturut-turut dari 59,7617 dan 14,0713 mg/kg untuk tanaman tanpa pupuk NPK menjadi 80,2736 dan 21,5550 mg/kg pada tanaman dengan pemberian pupuk NPK. Penggunaan pupuk NPK pada tanah pertanian juga dapat meningkatkan logam yang bioavailable sebesar 0,83% untuk Pb dan 2,70% untuk Cu. Dengan demikian, pemberian pupuk NPK pada tanah pertanian dapat menyebabkan peningkatan bioavailabilitas Pb dan Cu dalam tanah dan kandungannya dalam tanaman bayam.   ABSTRACT: Heavy metal contamination in agricultural soil due to the use of inorganic fertilizers such as NPK fertilizer could have an impact on heavy metal content in agricultural products. This study aimed to determine the metal content of Pb and Cu in spinach and the level of bioavailability of these metals in agricultural soils treated with NPK fertilizer. The methods applied in this study were wet digestion and sequential extraction for determining the total metals of Pb and Cu, as well as the bioavailability of these metals. The measurement and quantification of the metals were performed by the use of an Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) with applying calibration curve and standard addition techniques. In this study, it was found that the metal contents of Pb and Cu in spinach plants increased from 59,7617 and 14,0713 mg/kg, respectively for plants without NPK fertilizer to 80,2736 and 21,5550 mg/kg in plants with NPK fertilizer application. The use of NPK fertilizer on agricultural soils could also increase the bioavailable metal by 0,83% for Pb and 2,70% for Cu. Therefore, the application of NPK fertilizer to the agricultural soils could increase the bioavailability of Pb and Cu in the soil and their content in the spinach plants.

      Abstract: ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  menentukan aktivitas tabir surya dari nilai SPF (Sun Protection Factor) Aktivitas tabir surya ditentukan dengan Penentuan SPF dilakukan dengan metode Spektrofotometri Uv-Vis. Kandungan senyawa kimia ditentkan dengan uji fitokimia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai SPF yang diperoleh dari konsentrasi  200, 400, 600, 800, dan 1000 ppm berturut-turut yaitu sebesar 2,4 (proteksi minimal); 4,7 (proteksi sedang); 7,8 (proteksi ekstra); 9,2 (proteksi maksimal) dan 11,3 (proteksi maksimal). Berdasarkan uji fitokimia, ekstrak metanol daun kebiul positif mengandung flavonoid, tanin, steroid, dan saponin.   ABSTRACT: This study aims to determine the activity of sunscreen from the value of SPF (Sun Protection Factor). Sunscreen activity was determined by determining the SPF using the Uv-Vis Spectrophotometry method. The content of chemical compounds is determined by phytochemical tests. The results showed that the SPF values obtained from concentrations of 200, 400, 600, 800, and 1000 ppm were 2.4 (minimum protection); 4.7 (moderate protection); 7.8 (extra protection); 9.2 (maximum protection) and 11.3 (maximum protection). Based on the phytochemical test, the methanol extract of kebiul leaves was positive for flavonoids, tannins, steroids, and saponins

      Abstract: ABSTRAK: Nanopartikel perak (NPAg) dibuat dengan metode green synthesis dengan memanfaatkan bahan alam sebagai bioreduktor, seperti daun cemcem. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu memanfaatkan ekstrak air daun cemcem (Spondias pinnata (L.f) Kurz.) sebagai bioreduktor untuk pembentukan nanopartikel perak dan menguji aktivitasnya sebagai antibakteri. Proses ini dimulai dengan mencampur ekstrak konsentrasi 0,5; 0,75; dan 1% dengan larutan 1 mM AgNO3 dengan perbandingan 1:10. Campuran dipanaskan dengan suhu 25; 40; dan 60°C. NPAg dikarakterisasi dengan spektrofotometer UV-Vis dimana hasil menunjukkan bahwa panjang gelombang NPAg antara 416 – 435 nm. Hasil PSA menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan ekstrak dengan konsentrasi 0,5% dengan suhu 60°C menghasilkan partikel dengan ukuran yang paling kecil yaitu sebesar 30,56 ± 0,24 nm. Pengujian antibakteri menunjukkan bahwa NPAg memiliki daya hambat yang tergolong sedang (6-10 mm).   ABSTRACT: Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) are made by green synthesis method by utilizing natural materials as bioreductants, such as cemcem leaves. The purpose of this study were to utilize the aqueous extract of the leaves of cemcem (Spondias pinnata (L.f) Kurz.) as a bioreductor for the formation of silver nanoparticles and to test its antibacterial activity. This process is started by mixing the extract concentration 0.5; 0.75; and 1% with 1 mM AgNO3 solution with a ratio of 1:10. The mixture was heated at temperature of 25; 40; and 60°C. AgNPs were characterized using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer where the results showed that the AgNPs wavelength was between 416 – 435 nm. The PSA results showed that the use of extracts with a concentration of 0.5% at a temperature of 60°C produced particles with the smallest size of 30.56 ± 0,24 nm. Antibacterial testing showed that AgNPs had moderate inhibitory power (6-10 mm).

      Abstract: ABSTRAK: Biodiesel merupakan salah satu bahan bakar alternatif yang ramah lingkungan sebagai pengganti solar. Namun, biodiesel memiliki kelemahan yaitu titik awan yang tinggi sehingga biodiesel akan merusak mesin diesel jika digunakan di daerah yang beriklim dingin. Titik awan yang tinggi disebabkan karena adanya asam lemak tidak jenuh dari minyak (triasilgliserida). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memproduksi biodiesel dari bahan baku minyak kopra dengan memodifikasi struktur triasilgliseridanya. Metode yang dilakukan yaitu melakukan modifikasi terlebih dahulu pada triasilgliserida dengan reaksi oksidasi KMnO4 3% serta katalis H2SO4 6N dengan variasi waktu 30, 45, 60, 75 dan 90 menit dan dilanjutkan proses transesterifikasi untuk produksi biodiesel menggunakan pelarut metanol. Hasil nilai konversi biodiesel yang didapatkan pada masing-masing variasi yaitu 6,61 %, 13,16%, 50,36%, 39,30% dan 7,98%. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa biodiesel dari hasil modifikasi triasilgliserida lebih sedikit rendamennya. Biodiesel yang diperoleh diidentifikasi dengan menggunakan instrumen IR dan GC-MS. Komponen- komponen hasil spektrum IR yang dihasilkan dari kelima variasi menunjukkan data- data spektrum yang hampir sama dengan GC-MS yang menunjukkan adanya komponen mayor diduga yaitu metil ester seperti metil palmitat, metil stearat, metil laurat dan metil kaprat. Selain itu, juga diduga adanya senyawa epoksi yaitu cis-9- metil, 10-epoksioktadekanoat sebagai komponen minor.   ABSTRACT: Biodiesel is one of the alternative fuels that are environmentally friendly as a substitute for diesel fuel. However, biodiesel has the disadvantage of a high cloud point so that biodiesel will damage the diesel engine if used in areas with cold climates. High cloud points due to the unsaturated fatty acids from oils (triacylgliciride). This study aims to produce biodiesel from raw material copra oil by modifying the structure of triacylgliciride. The method to do that is to make modifications prior to the oxidation reaction of triacylglycerides with KMnO4 3% and H2SO4 6N as a catalyst with a variation of 30, 45, 60, 75 and 90 minutes and proceed transesterification process to produce biodiesel using methanol. Results biodiesel conversion value was obtained in each variation is 6.61%, 13.16%, 50.36%, 39.30% and 7.98%. It was show that biodiesel from modified triacylgliciride less yield. Biodiesel was obtained using instruments identified by IR and GC-MS. The components of the IR spectrum were result generated from the fifth variation of the data showed a spectrum similar to GC-MS which showed major components, namely allegedly methyl esters such as methyl palmitate, methyl stearate, methyl laurate and methyl caprate. In addition, also alleged the existence of an epoxy compound that is cis-9- methyl, 10-epoxyoktadecanoate as a minor component.

      Abstract: ABSTRAK: Pencemaran yang diakibatkan oleh logam berat dalam air laut dan sedimen sangat penting untuk diperhatikan karena dapat merusak lingkungan perairan dalam bentuk penurunan kualitas ekosistem.  Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kandungan total logam Pb dalam air dan sedimen serta bioavailabilitasnya di Pantai Kedonganan Bali. Penentuan kandungan logam Pb dalam air laut dan sedimen menggunakan Spektrofotometer Serapan Atom. Penentuan spesiasi logam Pb dalam sedimen dilakukan ekstraksi bertahap dan kandungan logamnya diukur menggunakan SSA. Konsentrasi logam Pb total dalam air laut adalah antara 0,2630-1,2642 mg/L pada tiga lokasi yang berbeda. Menurut Keputusan Kementerian Negara Lingkungan Hidup No.51 tahun 2004 tentang Baku Mutu Air Laut, keberadaan logam Pb di perairan sudah melewati ambang batas sebesar 0,05 mg/L. Konsentrasi logam Pb dalam sedimen sebesar 541,7 mg/kg. Berdasarkan pedoman mutu Australian and New Zealand Environment and Conservation Council (ANZECC) tahun 2000, konsentrasi logam Pb dalam sedimen sudah melewati nilai ambang batas yang telah ditentukan sebesar 50-220 mg/kg. Bioavailabilitas logam Pb didominasi oleh logam yang sifatnya berpotensi bioavailabel (46,42-53,58%), kemudian yang sifatnya non bioavailabel (37,92-39,46%), dan yang paling kecil adalah logam yang bersifat bioavailabel (7,36-15,35%).   ABSTRACT: Monitoring of heavy metal pollution in seawater and sediment is very important because it can damage the aquatic environment in the form of decreasing ecosystem quality. The purpose of this study was to determine the total content of Pb in water and sediment in Kedonganan Beach Bali, and their bioavailability. Determination of Pb content in seawater and sediment has been done using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). The speciation of Pb in sediments was carried out by stepwise extraction, then the Pb content was measured using AAS. The concentrations of total Pb in seawater from three different locations were between 0,2630-1,2642 mg/L. According to the Decree of the State Ministry of the Environment No. 51/2004 concerning Sea Water Quality Standards, the threshold for Pb in water over than acceptable value of 0.05 mg/L. The total concentration of Pb in the sediment was 541.7 mg/kg. Based on the quality guidelines of the Australian and New Zealand Environment and Conservation Council (ANZECC) 2000, the concentration of Pb was more than threshold value of 50-220 mg/kg. The potential bioavailability of Pb in sediment was 46.42-53.58%, followed by non-bioavailability at 37.92-39.46%, and bioavailable 7.36-15.35%.
