      Abstract: Being a coach in a boarding school student has its own challenges. There are many tasks and roles as a coach as well as final year students, making coaches vulnerable to stress. Individuals who experience stress tend to experience disorders in physical, emotional, cognitive, and behavioral functions. This study aims to reduce the stress level of coaches through Al-Ghazali’s gratitude training. Subjects in this study were women of early adulthood (18-40 years), were coaches of boarding schools for female students, had moderate or high stress levels, and were willing to take part in Al-Ghazali's gratitude training. This study used the quasi-experimental method with two group pre-test post-test design. The control and experimental groups each consisted of 15 coaches. Measurement of stress levels using the Perceive Stress Scale (PSS-10). Analysis of the data used is a comparative test using the independent t test to find out the differences in the average value between one group and the other groups. The results of this study indicated that Al-Ghazali’s gratitude training can reduce stress levels in female boarding school coaches, reinforced by the results of observations and interviews. Research showed that Al-Ghazali's gratitude training can change the subject's perception of problems in his life. Subjects begin to see what is happening to them both pleasant and unpleasant is God's will and by using a perspective of gratitude. Keywords : gratitude, stress, coaches of boarding school for college students Abstrak Menjadi seorang pembina asrama di pesantren mahasiswa memiliki tantangan tersendiri. Ada banyak tugas dan peran sebagai pembina asrama sekaligus mahasiswa menjadikan pembina asrama rentan mengalami stres. Individu yang mengalami stres cenderung mengalami gangguan dalam fungsi fisik, emosi, kognitif, dan tingkah laku. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menurunkan tingkat stres pembina asrama melalui pelatihan syukur Al-Ghazali. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah wanita usia dewasa awal (18-40 tahun), merupakan pembina asrama pesantren mahasiswi, memiliki tingkat stres sedang atau tinggi, dan bersedia mengikuti pelatihan syukur Al-Ghazali. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan two group pre-test post-test design. Kelompok kontrol dan eksperimen masing-masing terdiri dari 15 orang pembina asrama. Pengukuran tingkat stres menggunakan Perceive Stress Scale (PSS-10). Analisa data yang digunakan adalah uji komparatif dengan menggunakan uji paired sample t-test untuk mengetahui perbedaan nilai rata-rata antara satu kelompok dengan kelompok lainnya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa  pelatihan syukur Al-Ghazali dapat menurunkan tingkat stres pada pembina asrama pesantren mahasiswi, dimana hasil uji paired sample t-test menunjukkan nilai t = 5,326 dan sig. = 0,000 (p<0,005), diperkuat dengan hasil observasi dan wawancara. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan syukur Al-Ghazali dapat mengubah persepsi subjek terhadap permasalahan dalam hidupnya. Subjek mulai melihat apa yang sedang terjadi pada diri mereka baik itu menyenangkan dan tidak menyenangkan adalah atas kehendak Allah dan dengan menggunakan perspektif kebersyukuran.       Abstract: Middle adulthood has age range between 40-60 years and characterized by physical caused by biological changes such as generativity and health problems. When health decreases, individuals tend to feel more concerned about death. Death anxiety increases at this age compared to other ages. One of the effective strategies in dealing with death anxiety is to increase religiosity. The sampling technique used was incidental sampling. The total sample consisted of 60 middle-aged individuals (35 men and 25 women). Data were collected using the MRPI scale and Templer's Death Anxiety Scale. The results of data analysis using Spearman correlation technique showed correlation coefficient (r) = -0.461 with a significance value (p) = 0.004 (p <0.05) thus meant that there was negative correlation between religiosity and death anxiety in middle adulthood. This indicated that the higher the religiosity score, the lower the death anxiety score, and vice versa. Therefore, it can be concluded that religiosity is significantly correlated to death anxiety in middle-aged individuals. Keywords : Religiosity, death anxiety, middle adulthood Abstrak Masa dewasa madya biasa disebut dengan masa paruh baya atau masa peralihan dari dewasa awal menuju dewasa akhir yang memiliki rentang usia antara 40–60 tahun. Masa ini ditandai oleh adanya perubahan-perubahan fisik dikarenakan terjadinya perubahan secara biologis seperti generativitas dan menurunnya kesehatan. Saat kesehatan menurun, maka individu merasa lebih memikirkan akan kematian. Kecemasan terhadap kematian menjadi lebih meningkat pada usia ini dibandingkan dengan usia lainnya. Salah satu strategi yang efektif untuk menghadapi kecemasan kematian adalah meningkatkan religiusitas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara religiusitas dengan kecemasan kematian pada dewasa madya. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah insidental sampling. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 60 individu dewasa madya (35 laki-laki dan 25 perempuan). Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala MRPI dan DAS. Analisis data menggunakan teknik korelasi Spearman yang menunjukkan nilai (r) = -0,461 p = 0,004 (p < 0,05) sehingga dapat diartikan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif antara religiusitas dengan kecemasan kematian pada dewasa madya. Hal ini mengindikasikan semakin tinggi skor religiusitas maka semakin rendah skor kecemasan kematian, demikian juga sebaliknya. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa religiusitas berkaitan dengan kecemasan kematian pada dewasa madya. Kata kunci : religiusitas, kecemasan kematian, dewasa madya

      Abstract: This study aimed to identify factors influencing coping strategies in early adult women in Penang. A total of 385 early adult women between the ages of 21 and 40 who lived and worked in Penang were respondents to this study. This study was a quantitative study using the Connor - Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC), Daily Spiritual Experience Scale (DSES) and Coping Strategies Inventory Short-Form (CSI-SF) test tool. Pearson correlation and regression analyzes were performed to look at the relationship and influence between spirituality variables, resilience and coping strategies. The results also found that spirituality had a significant positive relationship with coping strategies Focused Engagement (PFE) (r = 0.394, p <0.01) and Emotion Focused Engagement (r = 0.105, p <0.01). However, spirituality was significantly but negatively correlated with  Problem Focused Disengagement (PFD (r = -0.230, p <0.01) and Emotion Focused Disengagement (EFD) (r = -0.117, p <0.05). And while there was a significant and positive relationship between resilience and PFE coping strategy (r = 0.557, p <0.01) and EFE coping strategy (r = 0.194, p <0.01), there was a significant and negative relationship between resilience and PFD coping strategy (r = -0.297, p <0.01) and EFD coping strategies (r = -0.246, p <0.01). The results of the regression analysis found that spirituality and resilience gave contribution of 10.5%  to early adult females coping strategies in Penang. Key words: Coping strategy, spirituality, resilience Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi strategi coping pada wanita dewasa awal di Penang. Sebanyak 385 wanita dewasa awal berusia antara 21 dan 40 tahun yang tinggal dan bekerja di Penang menjadi responden pada penelitian ini. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan skala Connor - Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC), Daily Spiritual Experience Scale (DSES) dan Coping Strategies Inventory Short-Form (CSI-SF) test tool. Analisis korelasi Pearson dan regresi dilakukan untuk melihat hubungan dan pengaruh antara variabel spiritualitas, resiliensi dan strategi coping. Hasil penelitian juga menemukan bahwa spiritualitas memiliki hubungan positif yang signifikan dengan strategi coping Problem Focused Engagement (PFE) (r = 0,394, p < 0,01) dan Emotion Focused Engagement (r = 0,105, p < 0,01). Namun, spiritualitas memiliki hubungan yang signifikan tetapi negatif dengan strategi coping Problem Focused Disengagement (PFD) (r = -0,230, p < 0,01) dan Emotion Focused Disengagement (EFD) (r = -0,117, p < 0,05). Dan juga terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dan positif antara resiliensi dengan strategi coping PFE (r = 0,557, p < 0,01) dan strategi coping EFE (r = 0,194, p < 0,01), terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dan negatif di antara resiliensi dengan strategi coping PFD (r = -0,297, p < 0,01) dan strategi coping EFD (r = -0,246, p < 0,01). Hasil analisis regresi menemukan bahwa spiritualitas dan resiliensi memberikan sumbangan efektif terhadap strategi coping wanita dewasa awal di Penang yaitu sebanyak 10,5%.       Abstract: This study aims to determine the description of preference for life partner selection at students of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). This research is descriptive quantitative research. A total of 160 UKM students were the subjects in this study which were determined by a purposive sampling technique. The instruments used in this study were 13 items Mate Preferences Questionnaire and 4 items questionnaire pairs characteristics. Based on the results of the descriptive statistical analysis shows that the choice of pair preference most students choose is the preference of religiosity of couples with a mean rank value of mean = 2.6813 and the lowest is the preference of pair selection based on the creativity of couples with a mean rank value of mean = 10.7125. The results of statistical analysis of the 4 item pairs questionnaire characteristics showed that male students were more likely to choose a partner who was younger and who had a physical attraction, while female students were more likely to choose an older partner and had good financial prospects. Students who are Muslim prefer religious partners compared to non-Muslim students. Keywords : Love, Intimacy, Mate References Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran preferensi pemilihan pasangan hidup pada mahasiswa Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif. Sejumlah 160 orang mahasiswa UKM menjadi subjek dalam penelitian ini yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 13 aitem Mate Preferences Questionnaire dan 4 aitem angket karakteristik pasangan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis statistik deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa preferensi pemilihan pasangan yang paling banyak dipilih mahasiswa adalah preferensi religiusitas pasangan dengan nilai mean rank sebesar 2,6813 dan yang paling rendah adalah preferensi pemilihan pasangan berdasarkan kreativitas pasangan dengan nilai mean rank sebesar 10,7125. Hasil analisis statistik dari 4 aitem angket karakteristik pasangan diperoleh hasil bahwa mahasiswa laki-laki lebih cenderung untuk memilih pasangan yang lebih muda dan yang memiliki daya tarik fisik, sedangkan mahasiswa perempuan lebih cenderung memilih pasangan yang lebih tua dan memiliki prospek keuangan yang baik. Mahasiswa yang beragama islam lebih memilih pasangan yang seagama dibandingkan dengan mahasiswa non-muslim. Kata kunci : Cinta, Keintiman, Pemilihan Pasangan Hidup

      Abstract: Education is the right of all people who aim to increase the learning potential of students to become better human beings because it requires high motivation and support from various parties as role in the learning process activities. Internal and external encouragement on students who learn to improve their behavior so raises some indicators or elements that support the process. This study aims to determine the difference between Chinese and Malays student motivation at SMAN 1 Bengkalis. The method of collecting data uses a questionnaire, the scale used in this study is a learning motivation scale containing of 44 items. This study involved 100 Chinese and Malay ethnic by using simple random techniques. The result of this study indicates that there are differences in learning motivation between Chinese and Malay ethnic groups as showed by the value t = 3,095 and significance value = 0.003 (p<0.005). The hypothesis is accepted and educators need to find ways to increase student learning motivation. Keywords : Learning motivation, Chinese and Malays ethnic Abstrak Pendidikan merupakan hak semua orang yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan potensi belajar peserta didik agar menjadi manusia yang lebih baik karena itu diperlukan motivasi yang tinggi dan dukungan dari berbagai pihak sebagai bentuk peran dalam kegiatan proses belajar. Dorongan internal dan eksternal pada siswa yang sedang melakukan proses belajar untuk meningkatkan tingkah laku siswa sehingga menimbulkan beberapa indikator atau unsur-unsur yang mendukung proses tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan motivasi belajar etnis Tionghoa dan etnis melayu di SMAN 1 Bengkalis. Metode pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan skala motivasi belajar yang terdiri dari 44 aitem. Penelitian ini melibatkan masing-masing etnis Tionghoa dan etnis Melayu 100 orang dengan menggunakan teknik acak sederhana. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan motivasi belajar antara etnis Tionghoa dan etnis Melayu yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai t = 3.095 dan nilai signifikansi = 0,003 (p <0,005). Dengan demikian hipotesis diterima dan tenaga pendidik perlu mencari jalan untukmeningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Kata kunci : Motivasi belajar, etnis Tionghoa dan etnis Melayu
