Shah, Aishiq H Ganie Pages: 1 - 13 Abstract: Purpose: To investigate in silico the drug-like properties of some thiadiazole and oxadiazole derivatives as HDAC inhibitors. Methods: We used Chemdraw Ultra 11.0 to redraw all chemical structures. Furthermore, some applications, such as Bio-Loom for Windows - version 1.5, Molinspiration Property Calculator, and ACD/I-LAB, were used to forecast the drug-like properties of thiadiazole and oxadiazole derivatives, including relative molecular mass (MW), partition coefficient log P (cLog P), number of hydrogen bond donors (HBD), number of hydrogen bond acceptors (HBA), topological polar surface area (TPSA), number of rotatable bonds (NROTB). Furthermore, Lipinski’s rule was utilized to assess druglike qualities. We also investigated the biological activity of drugs. Results: Based on research work, we find out the MWs, HBD, HBA and clogP of the proposed compound are respectively <500, <5, <10, and <5. Additionally, the TPSA score for each compound was 140>2 and NROTB score was >10, so we also got a bioactivity score in the range of >0.00, which indicates a good active molecule. Conclusion: All of the proposed compound has good drug-like characteristics and have shown good oral absorption and bioavailability. Chhattisgarh region plants and plant-derived products is commonly used to cures and relief various physical and mental illnesses.. In Chhattisgarh state, various populations of tribal rural and local populations used various types of leafy vegetables. These tribal and local populations of Chhattisgarh particularly people around the forest area depend on leafy vegetables as a source of food diet because they connect the natural vegetation of Chhattisgarh leafy vegetable plant has high nutrition source. Leafy vegetables are rich in nutritional value, high protein per calorie, dietary fiber, vitamin C, pro-vitamin A, carotenoids, folate, manganese, and vitamin K. In Leafy vegetable plant cells, they also present secondary metabolites. These metabolites are highly present in the leaf part and it is also beneficial to treat diseases of humans also. The secondary metabolites which are present in the green leaves are (steroids, flavonoids, tannins, alkaloids, and saponins. Authors:Nirali shah, Darshan Parmar, Bharti Umretia Pages: 20 - 29 Abstract: Background: Akika Pishti is widely used in therapeutics to treat various disease conditions like Hridaroga (Cardiac disease) Manoroga (psychic disorders) and Raktaja Vikara (bleeding disorders). Some references found in classics also emphasized the use of Akika Bhasma. However, no work has been done to date to standardise Rakta Akika Bhasma and Pishti's pharmaceuticals. Aim: The present research work is aimed to establish the pharmaceutical standardization of Rakta Akika Bhasma and Pishti. Methods: Three batches of Rakta Akika Bhasma were prepared by purification of Akika followed by calcination as per the reference of Rasatantrasaar and Siddhprayoga Sangrah. Three batches of Rakta Pishti were prepared followed by levigation (Bhavana) as per the reference of Rastantrasaar and Siddhprayog Sangraha to develop standard parameters. Result: Rakta Akika Bhasma fixed quantity of cow dung cakes i.e. 10 Shera (9.321 kg) and Pishti in terms of pharmaceutical standards i.e. light brown and grayish pink in color, 80.44% and 102.44% yield respectively along with reproducibility of fixed quality. The preparation of Rakta Akika Bhasma and Rakta Akika Pishti in accordance with the procedure described in the classical literature has been ensured and standardised by the current study. Recently it has been considered as a critically endangered plant by the International Union of the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN) due to its heavy exploitation in the past. The plant has a high demand in the international market due to its medicinal properties and abundance of phytochemicals, which means it is necessary to save it from extinction as well as to improve the quality and quantity of the phytochemicals produced by the plant. Indian snakeroot has an abundance of an indole alkaloid–reserpine which can cure hypertension and other mental disorders, some more phytochemicals can be found in the plant but very low concentration. In-vitro micropropagation methods could be a solution for this problem, it could be effectively used in stabilizing the population of the plant as well as. The review is mainly focused on a study of pharmacological aspects of Indian snakeroot, and the biotechnological methods for conservation and enhancements of some endangered medicinal plants. Abdullahi Pages: 39 - 50 Abstract: This research work studied the preventive effect of ethylacetate fractions of Parkinsonia aculeata and Newbouldia laevis using carbon tetrachloride (CCl 4 ) model to induce toxication in rats. Increased (p<0.05) serum concentrations of enzymes and non-enzymes biochemical parameters such as lactate dehydrogenase, gamma glutamyl transferase, alkaline phosphatase, alanine and aspartate transaminases and total bilirubin, were seen in group of rats administered only carbon tetrachloride. However, groups that received 100 to 200mg/kg of the two ethylacetate fractions of the plants showed a reverse order of the parameters. Vitamins C and D, catalase, glutathione and superoxide dismutase were found to decrease (P<0.05) but increases (P<0.05) in the levels of lipid peroxides were seen in rats that received only carbon tetrachloride. Different doses of the combined ethylacetate fractions and silymarin showed a significant increase of the antioxidants but a decrease of lipid peroxides was observed. The histopathology study of the liver sections of CCl 4 -intoxicateduntreated rats showed massive fatty changes and necrosis, these changes were reversed in the combined extract treated groups. Pages: 39 - 47 Abstract: The present study aimed to identify some of the phytoconstituents of a fraction (fraction DDK-4) obtained from the column chromatography of the ethylacetate extract of Securidaca longipedunculata Fresen (Polygalaceae). Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LCMS/MS) analysis of fraction DDK-4 was conducted on a Waters Synapt G2 quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometer (Milford, MA, USA) using positive mode of ionization. The results showed that 1,7-dihydroxy-2,8-dimethoxy xanthone, 3-(1,3-benzodi-oxol-5-yl-4-morpholinyl)-3-(2-hydroxy-4,6-dimethoxyphenyl)-1-propanone, 5,7-dihydroxy-6-methyl-3-(2’,4’-dihydroxybenzyl)-chroman-4-one, trans-O-methyl-grandmarin, dioctylamine, rhodioloside, punicic acid, echimidine, N-[(2R,3S)-2-[[(3,5-dimethyl-4-isoxazolyl)sulfonyl-methylamino]methyl]-5-[(2R)-1-hydroxypropan-2-yl]-3-methyl-6-oxo-3,4-dihydro -2H-1,5-benzoxazocin-10-yl]-1,3-benzothiazole-2-carboxamide, scilliroside and geranyl hydroquinone were identified as the phytoconstituents present in fraction DDK-4. The presence of these compounds in the stem bark of S. longipedunculata has been reported for the first time. Also, 1,7-dihydroxy-2,8-dimethoxy xanthone could be very useful in the chemotaxonomy of the genus Securidaca and family Polygalaceae. Studies are currently on-going to isolate these compounds in their pure forms in order to elucidate and characterize their structures using different spectroscopic techniques.
