Abstract: O estudo apresenta reflexões a partir de uma pesquisa realizada com pacientes internados em um hospital especializado em cardiopatias, na região sul do país, com amostra composta por indivíduos de ambos os sexos, maiores de 18 anos, em recuperação cirúrgica. A cirurgia cardíaca ainda é a intervenção mais escolhida em muitos casos de cardiopatias, apesar do avanço no tratamento clínico da doença nos últimos anos e do advento da abordagem minimamente invasiva (Dessotte, Rodrigues, Furuya, Rossi, & Dantas, 2016). O objetivo deste trabalho é identificar se existe diferença entre os gêneros nos índices de ansiedade e dor durante o período pós-operatório. Nessa pesquisa quantitativa e transversal foram aplicados um questionário sociodemográfico, uma entrevista fechada sobre o adoecimento, o Inventário Beck de Ansiedade e a Escala Visual Numérica da Dor. Foram entrevistados 88 pacientes no período pós-operatório de cirurgia cardíaca. Não se constatou diferenças significativas quando comparadas as amostras.The study presents reflections based on a research performed with patients admitted at a hospital specialized in heart diseases, in the southern region of the country, with a sample composed of individuals of both sexes, over 18 years of age, recovering after cardiac surgery. Cardiac surgery is still the intervention of choice in many cases of heart disease, despite the advances in clinical treatment of the disease in recent years and the advent of the minimally invasive approach (Dessotte, Rodrigues, Furuya, Rossi, & Dantas, 2016). The objective of this study was to identify whether there is a difference between the genders in anxiety and pain indexes during the postoperative period. In this quantitative and transversal research, a sociodemographic questionnaire, a structured interview about the illness, the Beck Anxiety Inventory and the Visual Numerical Pain Scale was applied. 88 patients were interviewed in the postoperative period of cardiac surgery. There were not significant differences when comparing the samples.
Abstract: A cardiopatia congênita é uma doença crônica marcada por internações prolongadas, muitas vezes em Unidades de Terapia Intensiva (UTI). Durante a internação em UTI, as mães costumam ser as principais acompanhantes dos pacientes, também necessitando de acompanhamento psicológico. O presente estudo teve como objetivo descrever as características sociodemográficas, os motivos para acompanhamento psicológico e estratégias de enfrentamento utilizadas pelas mães com filhos cardiopatas congênitos internados em uma UTI pediátrica. A amostra contou com um total de 117 mães. Verificou-se que 87% era proveniente de outra cidade, sem trabalho formal, sendo as principais acompanhantes dos pacientes. As estratégias de enfrentamento mais utilizadas foram a fé, busca de suporte social, busca por informações e confiança na equipe. O estudo descreve características importantes que podem impactar na compreensão e enfrentamento da doença, bem como na adesão ao tratamento. Espera-se contribuir com o atendimento psicológico destas famílias, assim como colaborar com o trabalho de outros profissionais da saúde presentes neste contexto.Congenit cardiopatics is a chronic disease characterized by prolonged hospitalization, many of them in Intensive Care Units (ICU). During hospitalization, mothers are usually the most present family members, also needing psychological support. The present study aimed to describe sociodemographic characteristics, reasons for psychological counseling and coping strategies used by mothers’ of children with congenital heart disease admitted in a pediatric ICU. The sample had a total of 117 mothers. It was found that 87% came from another city, without formal work, being the main family member with the patients. The most commonly used coping strategies were faith, search for social support, seek for information and trust in medical team. The study outlines important features that may impact on understanding and coping with the disease, as well as treatment adherence. We hope to contribute for the psychological care of these families, as well as to collaborate with other health professionals in this context.
Abstract: O tratamento hematológico pode implicar em processo longo e invasivo, como é o transplante de medula óssea. Ainda que proposto com intenções curativas, intercorrências clínicas causam impactos na saúde física, psicológica e emocional do indivíduo. Este artigo é um relato de experiência profissional e objetivou descrever a psicogênese de um episódio de surto psicótico, cujos conteúdos manifestos foram analisados pelo referencial teórico da Psicologia Analítica. Diante de situações que extrapolaram a capacidade de ressignificação do paciente, conteúdos inconscientes emergiram quiçá em busca de uma reintegração da compreensão simbólica perdida. De um modo próprio e singular de ser, vivenciou conflitos com conteúdos beligerantes sobre crenças e valores oriundos da sua psique e de um contexto sociocultural inóspito, que dificultaram o processo de desenvolvimento pessoal. A intervenção psicológica possibilitou a integração de aspectos conscientes e inconscientes cindidos, sobretudo na relação negativa com o feminino (anima) e a doutrina religiosa.Hematological treatment can involve a long and invasive process, such as bone marrow transplantation. Although being proposed with curative intentions, clinical intercurrences cause impacts on the individual’s physical, psychological and emotional health. This article is a professional experience report and had the objective to describe the psychogenesis of a psychotic outbreak episode, whose manifested contents were analyzed through the theoretical background of Analytical Psychology. Faced with situations that extrapolated the patient's resignification capacity, unconscious contents perhaps emerged in search of a reintegration of the lost symbolic understanding. In a unique and particular way of being, experienced conflicts with belligerent content about beliefs and values arising from their psyche and an inhospitable socio-cultural context, which hindered the process of personal development. Psychological intervention enabled the integration of split conscious and unconscious aspects, mainly in relation with the feminine (anima) and the religious doctrine.
Abstract: Este artigo investigou os efeitos do recurso psicoterapêutico dos contos de fada na intervenção psicológica com crianças submetidas ao transplante de células hematopoiéticas, entre o período de fevereiro a outubro de 2016. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa de paradigma junguiano, com a modalidade de pesquisa em Psicologia Clínica. Os instrumentos utilizados foram: entrevista semiestruturada com os cuidadores primários; dez livros de diferentes contos de fadas e o desenho livre. A análise do material coletado foi através do método do processamento simbólico arquetípico. Participaram da pesquisa vinte crianças e seus respectivos cuidadores primários. Os resultados indicaram seis categorias de análise. Optou-se em discutir a categoria do arquétipo da “Grande Mãe”, a partir de dois contos de fada que ilustram com maior profundidade os conteúdos simbólicos em torno dessa temática. Conclui-se que o recurso dos contos de fada contribui para aprimorar e qualificar as intervenções psicológicas com crianças hospitalizadas.This article investigated the effects of the psychotherapeutic resource of fairy tales in psychological intervention with children submitted to hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, between February and October 2016. It is a qualitative research in Clinical Psychology based on the Jungian paradigm. The instruments of the study were: semi-structured interview with the child’s primary caregiver; ten books of different fairy tales and free-hand drawing. The collected material was analyzed through the archetypal symbolic processing method. Twenty children and their respective primary caregivers have been recruited. After analyzing the results, six categories were found. The one entitled “Great Mother Archetype” was chosen to be discussed, which has appeared in two fairy tales that illustrated symbolic contents and allowed a profound study about this subject. It was concluded that the use of fairy tales contributes to improve and qualify psychological interventions with hospitalized children.
Abstract: A morte no século XX adquiriu no contexto hospitalar a conotação de inimiga e fracasso, assumindo uma cultura de negação vigente na época e que perdura até os dias atuais. A atuação dos profissionais de saúde na oncologia pediátrica é atravessada pelo processo de morte e do morrer. Este estudo pretende compreender as experiências de luto vividas pelos profissionais de saúde diante das perdas de seus pacientes, através da abordagem qualitativa, descritiva do tipo fenomenológica, seguindo o modelo de Giorgi (1985). Foi desenvolvido no Hospital Universitário Oswaldo Cruz em Pernambuco, Brasil. Da análise da linguagem das profissionais suscitaram as seguintes categorias temáticas: vínculos e envolvimento emocional, sentimentos de impotência diante do sofrimento, impactos na saúde psíquica e recursos de enfrentamento. Dessa forma, este trabalho, enquanto amplia as compreensões a respeito da intensa vivência do luto, também corrobora para auxiliar os profissionais em sua profunda jornada.In the 20th century, death in the hospital context acquired the connotation of failure, assuming a culture of denial that endures to current days. The role of healthcare professionals in the Pediatric Oncology is permeate by the process of death and dying. This study aims to understand the experiences of grief, experienced by healthcare professionals facing the losses of their patients. This is a qualitative, descriptive study and a phenomenological type, following the model of Giorgi (1985). It was developed at the Oswaldo Cruz University Hospital, in Pernambuco, Brazil. From the analysis of the language of the professionals, the following thematic categories arose: bonds and emotional involvement, feelings of helplessness in the face of suffering, impact on mental health and coping resources. Thus, while this work extends the understanding about deep experience of grief, it also supports healthcare professionals in dealing with the intense workday.
