Abstract: O objetivo do presente ensaio é oferecer uma contribuição para o estudo psicanalítico das diversas formas clínicas de depressão. Fazendo do conceito psicanalítico de estrutura um referencial metodológico fundamental, o autor ressalta, a partir de sua leitura do texto freudiano, os elementos-chave indispensáveis para a compreensão da psicogênese e do estatuto metapsicológico das principais formas clínicas de depressão, vale dizer, a depressão neurótica, a depressão melancólica e a depressão borderline.The objective of the present essay is to bring a contribution for the psychoanalytic study of the several clinical forms of depression. Making the structure psychoanalytic concept a fundamental methodological reference, the author highlights, from his lecture of the freudian text, the indispensable key-elements for the psychogenetic comprehension and the metapsychological statute of the principal clinical forms of depression, that means, the neurotic depression, the melancholic depression and the borderline depression.
Abstract: Por meio da retomada do tratamento dado por Lacan, em seu Seminário 5, à questão do chiste, trata-se de discutir a articulação do simbólico e do real. Este introduz uma dimensão de queda e redução, uma dimensão de finitização e satisfação: retorno, sob a forma do desejo, da dimensão minúscula e parcial da pulsão. Aquele, o simbólico, submete o sujeito a uma infinitização, a um deslocamento, a uma abertura, como o testemunha a estrutura de qualquer demanda. A realização desejante no chiste, como retorno do pulsional, mostra-nos, porém, que a abertura simbólica e desejante não encontra simplesmente termo, ao encontro de seu termo, mas antes ainda abertura. Esta leitura é apresentada ainda por meio de uma leitura do grafo do desejo.This essay discusses the articulation between the symbolic and the real around Lacan’s treatment of ‘wit’ in his 5th seminar. He introduces the dimensions of falling and that of reduction as well as those of finitude and satisfaction: thus returning, under the form of desire, to the minuscule and partial dimensions of the drive concept. The symbolic submit the subject to infinitude, to a displacement, to the opening, turning to be the witness of structure of every demand. However, the desiring accomplishment in wit, as a drive motion, shows us that the symbolic and desiring opening is not a definitive encounter, but it is in principle its opening. The present reading is also presented by consideration of Lacan’s Graph of Desire.
Abstract: O presente trabalho consiste em uma reflexão acerca da alteridade em psicanálise, incluindo-se suas implicações em termos clínicos e metapsicológicos. Neste sentido, privilegiando o referencial de Freud (1919) em O inquietante (Das Unheimliche), pretendemos debater uma inovadora abordagem do outro, que ao invés de rechaçá-lo ou projetá-lo alhures, qualifica-o como inerente a tudo que é humano, cindido por excelência. Como veremos em um segundo momento, é precisamente tal característica que nos permite articular esse estranho de nós mesmos representado pelo Inconsciente à estranheza da função do analista, profissional regido por uma ética cuja peculiaridade reside em se deixar guiar não por princípios impostos de fora - a despeito da teoria -, mas pelo desejo de alguém que ousa perguntar.This work proposes a reflection on otherness in psychoanalysis, in its clinical and methapsychological implications . Therefore, focusing Freud (1919) "The Uncanny" (Das Unheimliche), our intention is to discuss an innovative approach of the other: instead of avoiding or projecting the other elsewhere, we qualify him as inherent to everything that is human, that is, as being manly a divided subject. As we shall see in a second moment, that’s precisely the characteristic that allows us to articulate this stranger of ourselves which is the Unconscious with the strangeness of the analyst’s function, guided by an ethics whose peculiarity resides in letting itself be taken not by principles imposed from the outside - despite theory reserve -, but by the desire of someone that dares to ask.
Abstract: Este artigo busca compreender o desenvolvimento do papel do observador analisando recortes das sessões de observação da relação mãe-bebê-família. Foram realizadas observações semanais da relação mãe-bebê durante um ano e seis meses, segundo o método proposto por Esther Bick. Todas as observações foram transcritas e se constituem o corpus de análise desta investigação, a partir do referencial psicanalítico. Na análise, destacamos algumas das transformações no papel de observador. Inicialmente marcado por uma postura mais crítica e intervencionista em relação à família, caminhando, com a ajuda das supervisões, para uma postura mais reflexiva e curiosa. Ampliando a capacidade de pensar as experiências vividas, o que favoreceu o surgimento de um novo contato com a família.The aim of this article is to follow the development of the observer’s role, through the analysis of parts of the observing sessions of the mother-baby-family’s relationship. Mother-baby observations were done once a week during one and a half year, according to Esther Bick method. All the observations were transcribed right after the end of the sessions and they constitute the bulk of main analyses of this investigation, based on psychoanalysis. The analyses highlight some transformations on the observer’s role. Marked by a more critical and interventionist behavior in relation to the family, heading towards reflection and curiosity, aided by supervisions, implied, as we realizes, the capacity to reflect on lived life-experiences that favored the emergence of a new contact with the family.
Abstract: No presente artigo pretende-se discorrer sobre o problema da representação literária da experiência catastrófica ou considerada indizível. Visa-se, ainda, promover uma reflexão sobre os efeitos da aproximação de uma experiência de tal natureza. Elegeu-se o conceito psicanalítico de sublimação como um operador adequado para se pensar o fazer artístico. Para tal empreitada, serão percorridos fragmentos do legado literário de Paul Celan, eminente poeta da literatura alemã do século XX. Trata-se de um autor cuja poesia testemunha elipticamente a experiência catastrófica no período após a Segunda Guerra. A partir destes elementos, serão apontados alguns caminhos para a abordagem da (im)possibilidade de se representar a experiência da catástrofe.In this article we discuss the question of literary representation of catastrophic experience, that which is considered inexpressible. We intend, in addition, to bring about a reflection on the forthcoming effects of such experience. The psychoanalytical concept of sublimation is elected as an adequate operator to think the artistic performing. For this task, we go through fragments from literary legacy of Paul Celan, distinguished poet of the XX Century German Literature. It is an author whose poetry witnesses elliptically the catastrophic experience of the post Second World War times. Based on these grounds, we follow some points aiming an approach of the (im)possibility of representing the experience of catastrophe.
Abstract: O presente trabalho pretende analisar a situação do fenômeno religioso contemporâneo a partir das formulações psicanalíticas sobre esse tema. Nosso objetivo primordial ao longo deste artigo é estabelecer parâmetros para relacionar o "retorno ao sagrado" às crises permanentes que acometem a humanidade. Tal empreendimento nos permitirá verificar até que ponto o fortalecimento dos movimentos religiosos pode ser considerado como uma reação à queda dos referenciais que se realiza na contemporaneidade.The present work discuss the situation of the actual religious phenomena from the standpoints of freudian and lacanian formulations. Our goal is to understand the "return to the sacred" in our present time where the humanity faces frequently depth and permanent crises. Such challenge will allow us to verify how the increase of the religious movements can be considered as a reaction against the breakdown of the references that happens nowadays.
Abstract: A repetição é um operador teórico eficaz para se pensar o corpo psicanaliticamente? As incidências da repetição no corpo são demonstráveis por meio da dor? Para responder a essas questões, é necessário ter em mente que para Freud, as expressões da repetição seguem caminhos distintos de acordo com as lógicas pulsionais destacadas. Na perspectiva do primeiro dualismo pulsional, a repetição se manifesta no corpo segundo a ótica da formação dos sintomas neuróticos. A introdução do conceito de pulsão de morte abre a possibilidade de consideração desses temas sob o ponto de vista do transbordamento pulsional, que por sua vez, permite entender a compulsão à repetição, revelando-se no corpo, como sendo a expressão de um conteúdo pulsional excessivo e traumático.Is repetition an efficient theoretical concept to think the body in Psychoanalysis? Could the incidences of repetition be demonstrated by observing the phenomenon of pain? The several manifestations of this phenomenon follow, as we can see all through the Freudian theory, also distinct ways, in accordance to its two instinctual logics. From the perspective of the first instinctual dualism, repetition could be revealed in the body by it’s symptoms, according to the theory of the neurotic symptoms formation. The introduction of the death instincts would enables us to consider those patients through the driving overflow’s point of view, as well as allows us the understanding of repetition’s compulsion phenomenon as an expression of an extreme and traumatic driving content in the body.
Abstract: O artigo investiga de que modo a psicanálise lacaniana consegue tornar compatível o pensamento causal e a possibilidade de responsabilizar o sujeito. Examinando em que sentido a psicanálise foi levada a se afastar consideravelmente das famosas formulações que a filosofia moderna fez sobre o problema da causalidade, será justificada a redefinição lacaniana desse conceito com base em seu emprego na experiência analítica. Mediante o recurso aos conceitos de objeto a, causa do desejo e de significante como causa material busca-se pensar que contribuições a psicanálise pode dar para um pensamento causal que não pretende destituir o sujeito de seu estatuto ético.This article investigates how lacanian theory can negotiate causal reasoning and the consideration of the subject as a responsible one. Examining in what sense the psychoanalysis deviated from the famous formulations of modern philosophy about the problem of causality, the Lacanian redefinition of this concept based on its use in analytical experience seems justified. Using the concepts of object a, the cause of desire and the significant as material cause, it is pointed psychoanalysis contributions to the causal thinking, maintaining the ethical status of the subject.
Abstract: Na década de 30, Klein demonstrou a eficácia das interpretações no caso do pequeno Dick estabelecendo um paradigma clássico na psicanálise com crianças autistas: as interpretações de gestos pouco representativos são essenciais para a criação da relação transferencial com uma criança ensimesmada. Este texto pretende discutir as implicações do paradigma kleiniano na clínica psicanalítica contemporânea a partir do contexto histórico no qual ocorreu a análise de Dick e da evolução do pensamento psicanalítico a respeito da clínica com a criança autista. Chega-se à conclusão de que a clínica psicanalítica com a criança autista pode ser pensada para além da técnica clássica - as interpretações.In the 30’s, Klein described the efficiency of interpretations in little Dick’s case, establishing a classic paradigm in the psychoanalysis with autistic children: the interpretation of almost unrepresentative gestures is essential for the development of a transference relationship with the self-absorbed child. This paper seeks to discuss the implications of the Kleinian paradigm in the contemporary psychoanalytic treatment with children, based on the historical context of Dick’s analysis and the evolution of psychoanalytic thought on the treatment of autistic children. The conclusion arrived at, is that the autistic child’s psychoanalytic treatment can be thought of beyond interpretations.
Abstract: Este texto discute questões teórico-clínicas que surgem quando um analista, tomando a teoria lacaniana como referencial teórico, propõe-se a tratar uma criança psicótica. É interesse deste escrito discorrer sobre a especificidade do trabalho analítico com a psicose infantil, bem como sobre o que caracteriza o sujeito psicótico, considerando a singularidade que marca seu funcionamento. A proposta é pensar a teoria a partir da experiência clínica; direção que diz respeito à ética da psicanálise, além do fato de a discussão de caso poder ajudar a refletir sobre essa práxis. Enfim, este escrito, em que se articulam prática e teoria - posta à prova pela clínica -, não pretende dar lugar a conclusões, mas tão somente abrir-se a outras descobertas.This text discusses theoretical and clinical questions that appear when a psychoanalyst, based on Lacan’s theory, intends to treat a psychotic child. It discusses particular aspects of analytical work regarding infantile psychosis, as well as, upon what characterizes the psychotic subject, considering the singularity that marks its functioning. The purpose is to think about the theory from the clinical experience. This direction is related to psychoanalysis ethic and it is supposed the discussion of the case can help to think about the praxis. Finally, this writing, in which theory and practice are articulated - and the theory is checked by the clinic -, does not intend to give place to conclusions, but instead to rest open to other discoveries.
Abstract: A fim de melhor compreender qual o papel do tema do conflito psíquico na teoria de Freud, investigamos a presença e o significado dos pares de opostos em sua obra. A utilização freqüente de antagonismos, como consciente/inconsciente, prazer/desprazer etc, é designada pensamento antitético, e uma lista de exemplos é elaborada para comprovar que essa é uma característica marcante do pensamento de Freud. As conseqüências desse ponto de vista são discutidas, chegando-se à conclusão de que os pares de opostos são uma parte importante da concepção de sujeito no campo psicanalítico e tem relevância para o entendimento do que é saúde e doença psíquica.The goal of this article is to better understand the role of psychic conflict in Sigmund Freud’s theory, and investigate the presence and meaning of pairs of opposites in his work. The frequent utilization of antagonisms like conscious/ unconscious, pleasure/pain, etc. is called antithetical thinking, and a list of examples is created to show that it is an important characteristic of Freud’s style of thought. The consequences of this point of view are discussed, and pairs of opposites are pointed out as an important part of the psychoanalytical idea of subject, being relevant also to the comprehension of mental health and disease.
Abstract: Este artigo tem como objetivo discutir a concepção freudiana sobre a relação mente-cérebro. Argumentaremos que esta relação tem que ser pensada em duas etapas na teoria freudiana. Por um lado, há que se pensar a relação entre a mente inconsciente e o cerebral e, por outro, a relação entre a mente inconsciente e a consciência. A segunda dessas relações permanece bem mais obscura do que a primeira, o que nos permite dizer que o grande enigma, em Freud, é a consciência.This paper discuss the Freudian views on the mind-brain relation. We shall argue that, in Freudian theory, this relation must be considered in two stages: first, the relation between the brain and the unconscious mind, and then the relation between the unconscious mind and the consciousness. The latter remains far more obscure than the former, which allow us to conclude that, for Freud, the ultimate enigma is the consciousness.
Abstract: Este artigo pretende, em um primeiro momento, especificar o campo de problemas da psicanálise. Selecionamos alguns aforismos de Lacan sobre a relação da psicanálise com a ciência, que nos permitiu afirmar que a psicanálise, por ser um estudo que parte da noção de inconsciente, deve ser situada na dimensão da ética e não na dimensão da ciência. Esta especificação do campo de problemas da psicanálise - nossa primeira tese -, por outro lado, não deve deixar de considerar que se a psicanálise não é uma ciência, por outro é compatível logicamente com ela - nossa segunda tese. No segundo momento utilizamos a noção de atos falhos para demonstrar, a partir do texto freudiano, essas duas teses.This article intends to, at a first moment, specify the range of problems of psychoanalysis. We have selected some Lacan’s aphorisms about the relationship of psychoanalysis and science that has allowed us to state that psychoanalysis, since it is a study that originates from the notion of unconsciousness, must be situated in the ethical dimension and not in the scientific dimension. This specification of the range of problems of psychoanalysis - our first thesis -, must not forget to consider that although psychoanalysis is not a science it is logically compatible with it - our second thesis. At a second moment, we use the notion of Freudian slips to demonstrate, from the Freudian text, these two theses.
Abstract: O presente trabalho propõe pensar sobre a temática da narratividade e do testemunho a partir da obra É isto um homem, de Primo Levi, em um diálogo com a construção do caso clínico na psicanálise. Para tanto, este estudo se reporta ao testemunho de Levi e a aspectos constituintes do processo narrativo por intermédio de autores como Sigmund Freud, Walter Benjamin, Jeanne Marie Gagnebin, Márcio Seligmann-Silva, entre outros. Questiona os impasses da memória na dialética das realidades factual e ficcional e interroga o conceito de irrepresentabilidade. Em seguida, sugere que se pense em uma clínica do testemunho e reflete sobre implicações desse narrar e contar histórias.The present work reflects about the thematic of the narrative dialogue and the testimonial situation evidenced in the book "This is a man" of Primo Levi, relating it with the construction of the clinic case in psychoanalysis. For this aim, the study refers to Levi"s testimonial and to constituent aspects of the narrative process through authors as Sigmund Freud, Walter Benjamin, Jeanne Marie Gagnebin, Márcio Seligmann-Silva, among others. It questions the impasses of memory on the dialectics of the factual and fictional realities and interrogates the concept of no-representation. Then, it suggests for clinical issues the testimonial and reflects about the implications of the narrative and telling stories.
