- Dowry and Panaik Money from an Islamic View (Case Study of Makassar Bugis
Community Marriages in Asmat Regency, South Papua) Authors: Ayu Pramudia Kusuma Wardani, Khuriyah Pages: 163 - 182 Abstract: This study aims to explain the views of Islamic law on dowry in marriages of the Bugis Makasar community in Asmat Regency, South Papua, the views of Islamic law on Money panaik in marriages of the Bugis Makasar community in Asmat Regency, South Papua, and the views of the Bugis Makasar community on the implementation of dowry and Money panaik in marriage. Within the Makasar Bugis ethnic group, several cultural groups and ancestral traditions are still practiced today. Including those carried out at wedding ceremonies. Before someone can get married, it is mandatory in Bugis society to give “Uang Panai” to the woman's family. In Bugis society, it is as if the bride's money determines whether a marriage will take place, and if it is not fulfilled then the marriage can be postponed or cancelled. Even though in the Islamic perspective it mandates the concept of "dowry", the Bugis community also considers panai money as an important requirement that must be fulfilled by the groom. In this case, every individual in society has their own perception of panai money, so its position in Bugis society becomes very important. In the Makassar Bugis community who live in Asmat Regency, South Papua, in fact it has a big impact on women, when men give panai money to women, after marriage, men feel they have a lot of power in their daily lives. day. This can be proven by the fact that men feel that they are kings, they don't want to work, and only stay at home. Meanwhile, wives who work earn a living to meet their living needs. This research uses a qualitative approach method by conducting observations and interviews with samples that we have determined and reviewing several sources of information from documents that support this theory and research so that it can run as it should. And coupled with library research, what is meant by library research is carried out to obtain data from several scientific works related to panai money'. The research results show that: First, in Islamic law a dowry is a gift from a man to the woman he marries, which then becomes the wife's full property. A person is free to determine the form and amount desired because in Islamic law there is no provision or limit on the dowry, but it is Sunnah that the dowry be adjusted to the ability of the man (future husband). In fact, in Islam it is recommended not to burden the prospective husband or the man in terms of dowry giving. Second, in Islamic law there are no provisions governing the amount or limits of panaik money. However, the law is mubah (permissible) and is left to the traditions of the local community in accordance with the mutual agreement of both parties. Third, the Makasar Bugis Community in Asmat Regency, South Papua can understand that Panaik money is one of the pre-requisites that must be implemented by the prospective groom. If this is not done, then it is very likely that the application will be rejected because Panaik money is one of the social status and pride of the prospective bride if her Panaik money is high, however, considering the development and understanding of the Makasar Bugis community who live in Asmat Regency, South Papua, currently there is little experience The shift depends on the agreement of both parties (future husband and wife). This article contributes to the view of Islamic law regarding dowry in marriages of the Bugis Makasar community in Asmat Regency, South Papua, the view of Islamic law regarding Panaik money in marriages of the Bugis Makasar community in Asmat Regency, South Papua. There is no doubt that trade is one of the best worldly works in which people work to collect their livelihoods and the livelihoods of their families and dependents, and serve their communities, and what distinguishes a Muslim trader from others: His adherence to the values of his religion and his constant reliance on his Lord. Therefore, it was imperative for every Muslim merchant at this time to familiarize himself with the ethics, do's and don'ts that relate to his business; this is because of the spread of prohibitions and the many suspicions that affect most transactions, deviating them from the legitimate controls that Allah Almighty has commanded. - Forming a Superior Personality in the Qur'an Epistemological Study of Sahl
Al-Tustari's Sufistic Tafsir on Q.S Al-Ikhlas Authors: Lailatul Jannah Firdausi Nuzula, Luthviyah Romziana, Abdur Rahman Nor Afif Hamid Pages: 310 - 326 Abstract: Surah Al-Ikhlas, as one of the chapters in the Quran, consists of four concise yet profoundly meaningful verses. This particular surah delves into the attributes of Allah and holds a central focus in the epistemology of Sufi interpretation, especially in the practice of tariqah by Sufi practitioners. This research aims to unveil the messages contained within Surah Al-Ikhlas through the epistemological study of Sufi interpretation by Sahl al-Tustari. The surah is not merely regarded as a sacred text but also as a guide to understanding spirituality and shaping an excellent personal character, particularly in the context of Sufism. While various approaches to Surah Al-Ikhlas have been explored in previous research, there is a gap in exploring the epistemology of Sufi interpretation by Sahl al-Tustari. By comprehending his views and interpretations of Surah Al-Ikhlas, it is anticipated that a profound understanding of the spiritual dimension and personal experience in comprehending the essence of the Quranic text can be achieved. The research methodology involves analyzing the works of Sahl al-Tustari, focusing on the maudhu’i method and Sufi approach. The findings of this research are expected to contribute to a general understanding of the epistemology of Sufi interpretation, particularly in the context of Surah Al-Ikhlas, and uncover the spiritual values within the Quranic text. - Application of Khutuatut Tadries Al Mufashsholah in Maharah Al-Kitabah
Learning for Semester II A IDIA Prenduan Students Authors: Izzat Amini, Nurhikmah Pages: 347 - 355 Abstract: The use of strategies in learning is one of the supports for achieving the desired goals. To create an effective classroom atmosphere, a teacher is required to use learning strategies that are active, fun and do not seem boring to students. One of these strategies is khutwatut tadris al-mufassolah which was prepared by KH. Muhammad Idris Djauhari. This learning step uses Herbart's theory and was perfected by KH. Muhammad Idris Djauhari in studying the Maharah Kitabah. This strategy makes students more active during learning. This research aims to determine the process of learning Maharatul Kitabah and the application of Khutwatut Tadries Al-Mufashsholah as well as the factors that support and hinder the application of Khutwatut Tadries Al-Mufashsholah in learning Maharatul Kitabah among second semester students at Ma'had IDIA Prenduan. This research uses a qualitative approach and collects data using observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are condensation, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Meanwhile, the analysis of the validity of the data used is triangulation. The results of this research show that the Maharatul Kitabah learning process for IDIA Prenduan second semester students was carried out with 5 activity stages, namely opening, presentation, association, conclusion, and application. However, in its implementation there are also several factors that hinder it, namely lack of mastery of mufrodat, no special teacher guidance, no lesson plans. Meanwhile, the factors that support the implementation of khutwatut tadries al-mufashsholah are the student's activeness, the teacher's clear makhorijul letters, the teacher's pleasant demeanor. - Muslim Family Communication in Fulfilling the Rights and Obligations of
Husband and Wife in A Long Distance Relationship (LDR) Authors: Sumadi Sumadi, Nabila Wardani Pages: 356 - 366 Abstract: Communication between family members is an important factor in maintaining family harmony, especially in the context of long distance relationships (LDR) which require more effort to maintain communication and trust between partners. In a Muslim family, good communication not only maintains relationships but also ensures that the rights and obligations stipulated in Islamic law are properly respected. Marriage is an agreement between a man and a woman to live together as one family, including respecting rights and obligations according to applicable laws and regulations. A long distance relationship describes a couple who are physically apart for certain reasons such as work. Research shows that good communication during a LDR can increase the chances of success in a relationship. In Kertasari Village, several couples who live far apart for work reasons experience difficulties in carrying out the rights and obligations of husband and wife. Previous research has examined strategies for maintaining family harmony in LDR countries, as well as the formation of sakinah families in this context. However, detailed explanations of communication in Muslim families have received little attention. Therefore, studying Muslim family discourse in the communication process to fulfill rights and obligations in LDR is a new discovery in Muslim family research. Rights Principles in the 1945 Constitution Authors: Sri Solehah, Siti Hasanah, Firzhal Arzhi Jiwantara Pages: 525 - 538 Abstract: This study aims to compare the equation of the principles of human rights (HAM) in two important historical documents, namely the Medina Charter and the 1945 Constitution (1945 Constitution) Indonesia. The Medina Charter, as the first social contract in Islamic history, and the 1945 Constitution, as the Indonesian constitution, has a big impact in the development and protection of human rights in each context. This study uses a document analysis method to identify and compare the principles of human rights contained in the two documents. It was found that there were a number of equations of human rights principles in the Medina Charter and the 1945 Constitution, even in different contexts. Universal principles such as freedom of religion, the right to life, and right of justice appear to be present in both documents. However, the implementation and interpretation of these principles can vary depending on differences in the context of history, culture, and politics in which these documents are produced. In addition, this research also highlighted the role and development of the concept of human rights from the Medina Charter to the 1945 Constitution. Although there are a number of changes and adjustments, it appears that human rights principles have become an integral part of the legal structure in accommodating community needs. In conclusion, although there are contextual differences between the Medina Charter and the 1945 Constitution, this research identifies the equation of human rights principles that reflect universal human values. Understanding of this equation can provide further insight about the evolution of the concept of human rights in history and how these values remain relevant in the context of modern society. - Contrastive Analysis of Phonology (Sounds, Speech, Stress, and Intonation)
of Arabic and Indonesian Languages Authors: Habiburrahman, Kurnia Wahyuni, Muhammad Mugni Assapari Pages: 645 - 663 Abstract: Phonology has a crucial role in the early stages of learning both native and foreign languages. This research aimed to analyze the phonological differences between Arabic and Indonesian, focusing on aspects such as sound systems, pronunciation, stress, and intonation. This study was classified as a literature review. The method employed was a descriptive contrastive analysis, comparing contrasting differences in Arabic and Indonesian through a pedagogical linguistic approach. The results showed that the vowel sounds in Arabic consist of fathah, fathah thowilah, kasrah, kasrah thowilah, dhommah, dhommah and thowilah which significantly impact the meaning of the language. On the other hand, Indonesian vowel sounds /i/, /u/, /e/, /ә/, /o/, and /a/ did not influence meaning and tended to remain consistent in their speech functions. Regarding stress and intonation, Indonesian utilized these elements to differentiate meaning when spoken with flat, high, and low tones in delivering news or interrogative sentences. In contrast, Arabic stress and intonation patterns were based on the position of consonants, syllables, and the length of vowels. - Characteristics of Women in the Qur'an (Analytical Study in Tafsir
Al-Azhar and Tafsir Al-Misbah) Authors: Mohammad Fattah, Sitta Rahmi Novita Pages: 1111 - 1119 Abstract: In the view of Islam, women are people who are highly respected. Al-Qur'an proves the nobility of women in a special sura named Al-Nisa>’ which means woman or woman. Rasulullah SAW also explained that heaven lies in the soles of women's feet, because in women there is a soft heart that causes women's characters to be different from men's. Based on the Al-Qur'an and Hadits, women have a big role in the life of the Al-Qur'an and are never separated from matters relating to women. This is evidenced by the many words used to describe women. Apart from the background above, the author examines the characteristics of women in surah al- al-Tahri<m verses 10,11 and 12 according to Buya Hamka in Tafsir Al-Azhar and M. Quraish Shihab in Tafsir Al-Misba>h as the main source of interpretation. In this study the authors used a qualitative approach which was classified into library research using descriptive data analysis methods. From the results of the research, the authors conclude that: Characteristics are formed not because of who one lives with, not because the family is respectable, so one's good or bad depends on one's piety to Allah swt. Indeed, guidance only comes from Allah SWT, even if he is the wife or husband of a believer. A person who is disobedient and treacherous will still receive punishment from Allah SWT, as well as a believer will not reduce his faith even though he lives with an unjust person. And a person who holds fast to religion and believes in what Allah SWT has decreed for him will be safe. In the analysis I did in the book Tafsir Al-Azhar and Tafsir Al-Misba>h both commented like this. PubDate: 2024-08-07 DOI: 10.31943/afkarjournal.v7i3.1014 Issue No: Vol. 7, No. 3 (2024)
- Challenges of Da'wah Research: Understanding Da'wah Models in The Context
of Qur'anic Guidance and Social Change Authors: Muadz Abdus Salam, Andri Nirwana AN, Ainur Rhain, Alfiyatul Azizah, Yeti Dahliana, Ahmad Nurrohim Pages: 1120 - 1141 Abstract: This study aims to investigate the challenges in understanding da'wah models in the context of Qur'anic guidance and social change. The lack of comprehensive research in this field has been a major obstacle in understanding the extent to which da'wah models conform to the teachings of the Qur'an. Problems such as inconsistencies in definitions and assessment parameters, limitations of empirical data, as well as gaps in understanding of Qur'anic guidance and integration of Qur'anic concepts in da'wah models are the main focus of this study. With the rapid pace of change in social and technological contexts, it is also necessary to understand how da'wah models can adapt to these changes while remaining in line with Qur'anic values. Advanced research in this field will provide a better understanding of how to practice da'wah in accordance with the guidance of the Qur'an, as well as the challenges and opportunities faced in the context of ongoing social change. In solving these problems, the author uses a qualitative approach, data is collected through documents and then the data is filtered and analyzed. The data analysis technique is carried out through the content analysis method. Based on the results of the study, it was found that there are various forms of technical words introduced by the Qur'an that are in line with the meaning of da'wah. The variety of words that have the same meaning as the meaning of da'wah can be understood that the Qur'an has such a rich vocabulary that the use of words is more diverse. In addition, in its implementation, da'wah can be seen from multiple points of view so that it must use words that are more in accordance with the human conditions faced. Among some specific criteria or characteristics that distinguish da'wah verses from other groups of verses are: da'wah verses contain basic norms that are global; contains elements of clear commandments (sharih al-amr) and prohibitions (sharih al-nahy); the connection of da'wah verses with matters of creed, morals, muamalah, including wa‟ad and wa‟id; and the da'wah verses in the Qur'an also use broad, flexible, firm and accurate language. Authors: Lalu Riki Wijaya, Marzuki, Lalu Supriadi bin Mujib Pages: 1178 - 1201 Abstract: Pisuke in the Sasak Tribe Traditional Marriage Process is an amount of money given by the man to the woman outside of her dowry, the purpose of which is twofold: first as a substitute for the costs of raising a daughter. Second, as a basis for men not to think that women's family status is too low. Before the establishment of the Pisuke tradition, the Sasak people, especially the East Lombok region, first knew the term change. In ancient times there were several levels of change agreed upon and determined by the Sasak Indigenous Community itself, namely: First, Utame Change (First Level), Second Madye Change (Middle Level), and Third, namely Indrie Change (Lower/Lower Level). Problem Formulations in this research include: 1). How is the construction of the Pisuke Determination of the Sasak Paer Timuq (Maspati) Traditional Council in the Marriage of the Sasak Lombok Tribe'; And 2). What is the typology for determining Pisuke standards in marriage between the Lombok Sasak tribe'. The method used in this research is a type of qualitative research. The data in this research was obtained from primary data obtained directly from informants, and then supported by secondary data in analyzing the research results.. Meanwhile, the research approach used is to use a sociological juridical approach, namely in dealing with problems discussed based on applicable regulations and then connected to the facts that occur in society. The results of this research show that the Pisuke tradition in the marriages of the Sasak tribe still tends to be determined based on the perspective of each family, which traditionally and institutionally the Sasak traditional council has not regulated this matter.
