Abstract: Teachers with the status of civil servants have to write scientific papers for promotion. The writing of scientific paper is relatively difficult for teachers since they are not used to conduct research or writing a research article published in scientific journal. This service is carried out to assist teachers in carrying out research in their madrasahs respectively and writing scientific papers published in journal articles. The service method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR) with the approach, namely: 1) Lecturing, 2) Workshop, 3) Review, 4) Action Plan, 5) Seminar, with the object of mentoring activities are 20 civil servant teachers of private madrasahs in Semarang City. The result of this activity is that teachers are able to write proposals and carry out research in the classroom and write down the research results in a journal articles. Overall, assisted teachers have a 'sensitivity' in seeing problems in the classroom and the ability to analyze 'problems'. Self-confidence as a professional teacher grows as the rise of teachers’ awareness in writing research articles.

  • Positive Self-Talk Intervention to Decrease Stress in Parents of Children
           with Special Needs

    • Authors: Prilia Zulfatur Rohmah, Diajeng Laily Hidayati, Maulita Noor Aisha, Eny Purwandari
      First page: 181
Abstract: The caregiving experience of parents of children with special needs (CSN) can be challenging and can lead to significant stress and negative impacts on mental health. To address this issue, a community service activity was implemented to provide positive self-talk training to 25 parents of CSN who are members of the Indonesian Special Family Forum (FORKESI) in South Sumatra. The training was conducted online using the Zoom Meeting platform and employed the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) method. The results of the community service indicated that the average stress levels of the participants decreased after participating in the training. Additionally, participants reported feeling more grateful for the condition of their children, more accepting of their children's condition, and having more open minds. These findings suggest that positive self-talk training is an effective strategy for reducing stress in parents of children with special needs and may have broader implications for supporting caregivers in the community.

Innovation, and Branding Product of Pants Convection

    • Authors: Azzah Nor Laila, Muhammad Idlom Dzulqarnain, Husni Tamrin, Hardiyanto Hardiputra
      First page: 201
Abstract: Pants convection is a home business from cloth in the village of Sukosono, Jepara. The community of mothers and teenagers are interested in entrepreneurship and work in the convection sector because they tend to be more flexible and can be done at home. A large number of workers and the production of the pants convection are not matched by management, product innovation, and marketing strategies. This resulted in a buildup of products, but reduced market demand. This service program aims to assist business management, as well as increase the creativity of workers in creating innovations, branding, and marketing methods so that confectionery products can compete in the market. Partners in this service are pants convection entrepreneurs in the village of Sukosono, Jepara. The method of this community service was Asset Based Community Development (ABCD), start from the step discovery, design, dream, define through survey on the community. Then the step destiny through training, assistance with product brand design and marketing, then step reflection through monitoring and evaluation. The results of this assistance show that the community has an awareness of the importance of product innovation, branding, and improving the marketing system. In the product aspect, this assistance resulted in innovative pants made of woven materials, product brand logos with the name of clothing houses, and marketing through marketplaces.

  • Strengthening Music Learning at SMKN

    • Authors: Ratih Sulistyowati, Alfonso Munte, Silipta Silipta, Rudie Rudie
      First page: 239
Abstract: The Community Engagement (PkM) of the Faculty of Teacher Training of Christian Education choosing the topic is because: Firstly, the author considers SMKN 1 Pulang Pisau to be a potential high school for activities because their Principal is an arts graduate. Second, the school has complete musical equipment as far as the author is concerned. Third, the location and venue of SMKN 1 Pulang Pisau is spacious and adequate as a location for activities. Fourth, the school was able to command all secondary school principals to send representatives of teachers who had taught in the cultural arts department.. We explored creative strategies through an ensemble approach in interfaith music learning after reinforcement and/or empowerment. The implementation method in PkM that we have done is Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) method with implementation stages through discovery, dream, design, define and destiny. Our PkM team evaluated the implementation and sustainability of the program at SMKN 1 Pulang Pisau for 4 days. As a result, the beneficiaries were able to plan, select methods, and implement Cultural Arts learning, with music specifications through an ensemble approach. The ensemble as a national music landscape is able to produce musical creativity and resonant rhythms through materials around the beneficiary schools. For example, gallons, bamboo, and wood.

  • Training of Adding Turmeric and Curcuma as Food Additives for Laying Hens

    • Authors: Ika Nur Fitriani, Kholidah Kholidah, Mutista Hafshah, Achmad Hasmy Hashona
      First page: 259
Abstract: The use of bioactive plants to replace antibiotics is now widely used. The program's purpose is to provide a solution for natural feed additives to laying hens in Ngaliyan as a substitute for Antibiotics Growth Promotor (AGP), which is prohibited by the government and provide knowledge to farmers about the use of medicinal plants to improve the productivity of livestock. The target was laying hens' farmers in Ngaliyan. The problem was chicken feed is made without AGP and egg prices fell while feed prices had risen. The solution offered to the partner was adding food additives from turmeric and curcuma. Turmeric and curcuma will improve immunity to increase livestock productivity, feed efficiency and egg quality. Based on the reason, we are conducted community services for laying hens farmer in Ngaliyan. Community service activities were carried out using the PAR method for two months through socialization, training, assistance in providing additional natural feed, and evaluation. Giving turmeric and curcuma flour can improve the quality of eggs. The result of the community service showed an understanding of partners to formulate and to produce feed additives in raising laying hens was improved. In addition, farmers were able to formulate and produce herbal feed based on requirements.

  • Pentahelix Movement Through Ecopreneurship-based Waste Management

    • Authors: Muyassarah Muyassarah, Muhammad Saiful Muslim, Fita Nurotul Faizah, Ahmad Tajuddin Arafat
      First page: 285
Abstract: This service aims to foster and increase public awareness of waste management and increase community ecopreneurship through training in making Eco-Enzyme in Langenharjo Kendal Village. To achieve these goals, the UIN Walisongo community service team formed a Pentahelix movement by collaborating with the Kendal Regency Government Environment Office, Bank Sampah Induk (BSI) Kendal, TP PKK Kendal, KIK, and BNN. The implementation method uses the PAR method which includes three stages, preparation, implementation, and evaluation of activities. The number of training participants was 80 participants. The results of the service showed that the socialization and training of eco-enzyme were able to foster and increase public awareness by 80% with 65% from parents and the rest from millennials. This means that this socialization is quite effective and can have a real impact on the surrounding community towards waste reduction. Meanwhile, the ecopreneurship training by turning waste into Eco-Enzyme was able to be followed by all participants, because the manufacturing process was quite easy. Unfortunately, the participation of participants from the millennial generation was still passive when compared to the enthusiasm of participants from the parent group. Nevertheless, this activity can be the first step in fostering the entrepreneurial spirit of the Langenharjo Kendal community through waste ecopreneurship.

  • Digital Promotional Content Training to Increase Tourist Attraction

    • Authors: Fajar Adhi Kurniawan, Muh. Luthfi Hakim
      First page: 301
Abstract: Digital content is a promotional medium that is growing and in demand at present, including promoting tourist destinations. Ease of access and wider reach are the reasons a digital promotion was chosen. However, there are still many tourist attraction managers who do not have enough literacy and ability to create digital promotional content. This community service uses the PLA (Participatory Learning and Action) method. The implementation of this activity is through several stages: Assessment and planning, lobbying and organizing stakeholders, implementation, and evaluation of CIPP. After completing the training program with this method, participants and managers of tourist have literacy about the importance of digital promotion, they have good skills in digital promotion, how to promote tourist attractions through digital media, and can create interesting digital promotional content so that it can be an attraction for tourist visitors to come to Tritip Cave and Mandalika Island in Jepara Regency, so it has an impact on the economy.
