Authors:Lathifah Irsyadiyah Husna, Yazida Ichsan, Neysa Salsabila Felasufa Amadea, Wardi Yusro Pages: 6 - 13 Abstract: Islamic education in Indonesia has developed from time to time as well as the the development of Muhammadiyah and Nahdhatul Ulama (NU). This article aims to explore the history of the education development of Muhammadiyah and NU from time to time, referring to the historical literature sources using library research methods. The analysis results demonstrate that Muhammadiyah started its movement by focusing on tajdid, or Islamic renewal. In the 19th century, Ahmad Dahlan founded a secondary educational institution, the Muhammadiyah boarding school, to provide religious and other general knowledge. Afterward, when the dualism of the Islamic education system occurred in the 20th century, Muhammadiyah attempted to integrate the secular knowledge brought by the Dutch with religious knowledge. Furthermore, Nahdhatul Ulama, which took part in education, especially Islamic boarding schools, also confirmed that its focus is to educate human resources by aiding the establishment of Islamic boarding schools. Authors:Rahman El Junusi, Musahadi Musahadi, Ferry Khusnul Mubarrok Pages: 27 - 41 Abstract: This study aims to explore the Support to Development of the Islamic Higher Education Project (SDIHE) in an effort to improve the quality of Islamic Religious Higher Educations (PTKIs). This research is a policy research conducted at UIN Sumatera Utara, UIN Raden Fatah, UIN Walisongo and UIN Mataram. It employs exploratory descriptive analysis which explains the SDIHE phenomenon. The results show that SDIHE which is run by PTKIs (UIN Sumatera Utara, UIN Raden Fatah, UIN Walisongo and UIN Mataram) through curriculum development and expert training programs is effective in improving the quality of PTKIs. SDIHE has an impact on increasing the ranking of these universities globally and locally. This shows an increase in the performance of PTKIs. There has been no research on the effectiveness and impact of projects from foreign grants in Higher Education that comprehensively discusses quality from the perspective of curriculum development and expert training programs. Authors:Syariful Fahmi, Soffi Widyanesti Priwantoro Pages: 42 - 50 Abstract: Video is a learning medium that is simple to integrate into a variety of activities, both online and offline. As a result, video development, including studying mathematical logic and set material, is essential. This research aims to develop project-based educational videos on mathematical logic and mathematics material. This research is development research using the Richey & Klein (DPE) development model. There are three stages of development: design, production, and evaluation. This educational video was implemented on 25 students in the third semester of the Mathematics Education Study Program (FKIP UAD). The results of the material expert assessment showed a score of 4.23 (good category) and the media expert assessment scored 4.55 (very good category). Besides that, the student’s response during implementation got a score of 3.9 (good category). PubDate: 2023-07-25 DOI: 10.21580/at.v15i1.13674 Issue No:Vol. 15, No. 1 (2023)
Authors:Zanella amelia Ananda, Amaliyah Ananda Baharudin, Ulfa Hasana Pages: 51 - 55 Abstract: Along with the development of the times, of course, there are more and more demands to improve quality in the field of education. Therefore, the Ministry of Education and Culture launched a new curriculum policy called the Merdeka Belajar to initiate this matter. This policy addresses four topics: the flexibility of educators in compiling teaching modules, providing leeway in regulating the acceptance of new students, and several other new policies in terms of instilling the character of Pancasila for students. Thus, changing from the 2013 curriculum to the Merdeka Curriculum triggers new challenges that can significantly impact learning outcomes. These challenges can plunder educators in terms of aspects of the media used, different and far more comprehensive assessment systematics, the methods used to convey the learning material they want to teach, and schools in achieving their vision and mission. The purpose of this research is to explain the implementation of Project-Based Learning by pre-service English teachers, as well as to analyze the problems of teaching EFL learners in Independent Home Teaching Internship. The study employed qualitative descriptive research design. The research participants were 15 pre-service English teachers from the English Education Department. Interviews and documentation were used to collect data. According to the data, Project-based Learning was implemented in this program by creating some learning videos. They were video of learning media and also video of English teaching and learning process. The products of project-based learning must be uploaded in YouTube channel. Because this was the first time a teaching internship completed online via numerous platforms, there were also new concerns and hurdles in completing the program. As part of their online Project-based Learning, students struggled with preparing lesson plans and designing certain learning videos. Practical implications of utilizing this learning model make enhancing students’ critical thinking skills, creativity, motivation and autonomous learners. However, they can solve the several problems namely bad connection of internet access, students’ low motivation in learning English and classroom management in these programs PubDate: 2023-07-25 DOI: 10.21580/at.v15i1.14915 Issue No:Vol. 15, No. 1 (2023)
