  • A Comparative Study on Forming Sincere and Honest Characteristics Based on
           Sufism View in Al Urwatul Wutqo and Jampes Boarding School

      Abstract: Pendidikan karakter baru sampai pada ranah IQ dan EQ saja. Sedangkan ranah SQ yang sangat erat kaitannya dengan pembersihan jiwa belum banyak tersentuh. Kajian tentang pembersihan jiwa mengarah kepada tasawuf (pendidikan jiwa). Model pembentukan karakter di dua lokasi bervariasi. 1) Pendidikan tasawuf di Al Urwatul Wutsqo berafiliasi t}ari<qah Syadziliyah Al-Mas’udiyyah. Tahap-tahap pendidikan tasawuf adalah syari>’ah, t}ari>qah, h}aqi>qah,  dan ma’rifah. Model pembentukan karakter jujur dan ikhlas melalui pemberian pengetahuan dan pembiasaan. Tahap pemberian pengetahuan adalah tahap syari>’ah. Diajarkan baca tulis al-Qur’a>n, terjemah al-Qur’a>n, nahwu, sharaf, baca kitab, hukum-hukum syari>’ah, mulai fiqih Ibadah, fiqih muamalah, fiqih munakahat, dan jinayah, dan tafsir Amaly. Pembelajaran menggunakan metode yang relevan diantaranya ceramah, tanya jawab, demonstrasi dan pemberian tugas. Tahap pembiasaan adalah belajar t}ari<qah , haqiqah dan  ma’rifah. Dilatih jama’ah, dzikir, dan istighas ah, dengan menggunakan metode muhasaba, mujahada, talqin, dan khalwat. Pada tahapan ini sampai pada al-maqa>mat terdiri dari:  taubat, sabar, syukur, rajak, khauf, faqir, zuhud, tauhid, tawakkal, mahabbah. 2) Pendidikan tasawuf di Al Ihsan Jampes tidak berafiliasi pada salah satu t}ari<qah  mu’tabarah, tetapi menerapkan tahapan pendidikan tasawuf. Tahap pemberian pengetahuan diajarkan tentang imlak, fikih dan tasawuf melalui kajian kitab Sira>j Al-Tha>libi>n dengan metode bandongan  dan shorogan (. Tahap pembiasaan dilatih jama’ah, dzikir, dan istighas ah dengan menggunakan metode muhasaba serta mujahada. Pada tahap ini al-maqa>mat bersifat alami karena tidak dibimbinga guru musyid. 3) Bentuk-bentuk karakter ikhlas dan jujur melalui pendidikan tasawuf yaitu: a) Ikhlas amal dan ikhlas memperoleh pahala b) Jujur pada diri sendiri, jujur dalam berjanji, jujur dalam perkataan dan perbuatan. .

      Abstract: A smart, intelligent, and skilled child is the desire of every parent. Therefore, not a few parents make various efforts so that their children can be smart in accordance with their expectations. This paper aims to reveal how great the desire of parents to make their children as desired, often experience some fundamental errors of orientation that actually destroy the future of their own children. The research method used is a qualitative approach with the type of library research. The results of the discussion show that the potential of children who are only focused on the Intelligence Quotient aspect will give birth to the child's personality which in fact becomes a Split Personality, Intelligence Quotient, therefore all three aspects must be developed equally.

  • Study of Servant Leadership in Building Educational Organizational
           Commitment at SDIT ABFA

      Abstract: Leadership style as an integral part of the leadership process has a close relationship with the commitment built within the organization. This commitment will arise when a leader is able to provide good service (servant) for his subordinates. This research method is qualitative with case study type. Data and data sources were obtained from informants at the SDIT ABFA Pamekasan institution through interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The results of this study indicate that the servant leadership style shown by the principal has a fairly good impact on the commitment of teachers and education personnel at SDIT ABFA Pamekasan. The servant leadership style is carried out by providing academic, supervision and administrative services in the school environment. Meanwhile, efforts and strategies to increase work commitment are carried out by establishing persuasive communication, creating a harmonious atmosphere in the school environment, and providing rewards for the achievements of subordinates

      Abstract: One of the universal values ​​of Islamic education is to establish the human behavior of a learning - friendly environment, especially on campus, through efforts to maintain and keep an environment free from the plastic waste. One of the values is through designing prophetic values ​​on the existing "physical environment" and "social environment" on campus, both elements are a unity that must be designed to be friendly for learning. Establishing individual and group behaviors in maintaining a plastic - free friendly environment is still rarely discussed, particularly from a religious point of view, but some mostly reviewed from the motoric skills of managing plastics point of view. This research reveals the behavior of the academic community of the faculty of tarbiyah about plastic-free environment using participatory design to help build the programs derived from the potential of human resources and other resources in the faculty environment. So that, the behavior of the academic community is "unconscious" of the physical and social environment in the faculty of education IAIN Madura. The results of the research obtained are: a) establishing awareness of the behavior of the academic community in tarbiyah faculty IAIN Madura through; tarbiyah program with integrated zero plastic environment maintenance, zero plastic habituation by leaders to the academic community in tarbiyah, preparation of adequate waste facilities, b) Implementation of zero plastic environment arrange in IAIN Madura tarbiyah faculty with the assistance of waste and plastic materials processing skills, preparation of regulations to reduce and change the plastic materials, include the value of zero plastic in the learning curriculum The suggestions given are a) to the faculty leaders that assistance towards changes in conscious behavior free from plastic materials and waste be done seriously and sustainably, b) to the academic community of IAIN Madura tarbiyah faculty to support unconscious efforts to maintain an environment free from plastic materials and waste.

  • Development of Islamic Education Curriculum Instruments for Early
           Childhood through Semester Learning Plans (RPS) for Gender Responsive
           Islamic Courses

      Abstract: This study aims to test the feasibility of gender responsive semester learning plans (RPS) according to gender responsive learning experts, learning design experts, and the effectiveness of using gender responsive RPS in Islamic Religious Colleges (PTKI). This research is developmental by using the instructional system model of Thiagarajan, Semmel and Semmel (1974) with a modified 4-D model. The 4-D model consists of Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. In this study, modification of the 4-D model was carried out, namely simplification from four stages to three stages. The results showed that the RPS was gender responsive from the development of the 4-D model in the subjects of Al-Qur'an Studies, Hadith Studies, Introduction to Islamic Studies, and the History of Islamic Civilization are considered appropriate according to gender responsive learning experts and learning design experts. The limited trial showed a very satisfactory response based on the assessment of observer lecturers and PIAUD students who had participated in this study.

  • Analysis of Environmental Education Materials in Islamic Religious
           Education and ‎Character Textbook for Senior High School

      Abstract:   Abstract: The environment education (PLH) material has almost no place in the Islamic Religious Education and character (PAI-BP) textbooks for senior high school levels. Evidently, in the textbooks for grades 10, 11, and 12, none of the chapters specifically contains PLH. Even if there is PLH material, it is integrated into certain chapters with very limited descriptions. In contrast, the environment is one of the important aspects of Islamic teachings, especially in human relations with other creatures and the natural surroundings. Therefore, preserving­ in an Islamic perspective, the environment is not only a noble act but also rewarding worship. On the other hand, destroying the environment is not just an act of violation but also a sin that is threatened with punishment. For this reason, the government needs to revise the curriculum in order to adequately increase the content of PLH material in PAI-BP lessons. This, in the short term, aims to overcome the shortage of PLH materials, PAI-BP teachers need to optimize PLH through habituation, providing examples of clean living and clean environmental activities.

  • Implementation Of Integrated Learning of Islamic Religious Education to
           Improve Student's Social Attitude Competence

      Abstract: This study aims to analyze the improvement of students' social attitudes through integrated learning on Islamic Religious Education subjects at MIN 1 Tanah Datar. The research method used is a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design. The research data was obtained using interviews and a questionnaire sheet that had been validated and then tested with the Tesmer model. Interview guidelines were distributed to four PAI teachers and a questionnaire to collect data on the social competence of 51 fourth graders. The data obtained were then analyzed using descriptive analysis to determine the percentage of students' social competence through integrated learning. This study shows a significant increase in students' social attitudes through integrated learning. Integrated learning is carried out in order to provide opportunities for students to be more active in a more inclusive learning process.

      Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe Islamic religious education as the main subject taught at various levels of educational units that are facing serious problems, namely the threat of modernization that changes all human life in various fields, including education, in the era of modernization education is required to be responsive in overcoming various problems. faced by humans, education is faced with the demands of modern humans who want education graduates to master various fields and expertise. This research is qualitative research using exploratory research. The data analysis technique used phenomenological analysis and data collection methods in this study using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The results of this study need to reformulate the education system based on the needs of modern society, one of the strategic steps is to change the approach and learning method of Islamic religious education in schools from the old model to the new model and this effort has already been carried out by superior schools in Indonesia, especially by schools. Islamic Senior High School Al-Azhar 1 Jakarta in the field of PAI studies which has benchmarks of success and five approaches in learning Islamic Religious Education including the following approaches: first, experience; second, habituation; third, Emotional; fourth, Rational; and Fifth, Functional. As well as creating special methods for each material in the Islamic Religious Education curriculum. The methods of the material are: first, the method of teaching faith; second, worship; third, morality; fourth, the history of Islamic culture; Fifth, the Qur'an.

  • Dormitory Distinction and Integration of Islamic ‎Education Basic Values

      Abstract: Various language course institutions in Indonesia are more focused on business oriented and ignore cultural values. Unlike the language institutions in Pare, Kediri, the dichotomy of material and moral values ​​is actually dissolved in lokal language institutions. The focus of this research was to portray the existence of reduction of Islamic value in the course institutions in Kampung Inggris (English Village), Pare, Kediri. Especially, additional activities carried out in the dormitory of the courses by assimilating lokal of Nahdatul Ulama (an Islamic organization in Indonesia) traditions with the needs of language institutions. This research was conducted in the form of qualitative research by conducting observations and interviews. Interviews were conducted in the form of deep interviews to obtain broader and deeper data. Data mining was also carried out by involving oneself directly and actively as an outsider in activities carried out by lokal communities assimilating to the agenda of the lokal course institutions. The result is that lokal culture in the form of values ​​and norms contributes to its own uniqueness in Kampung Inggris that are not found in course institutions in other regions. These activities are accepted and applied in lokal course institutions with agendas such as tahlilan (ritual of salvation), islamic congregational prayer, diba'an ( prayer to God and Prophet) and so on.

  • Islamic Religious Education in Perspective Urban Society: Analysis of
           Factors Influencing Parents' Decisions Choosing an Islamic Religious
           Education Institution at Mataram City

      Abstract: This study was driven by the growing interest of students’ parents in Islamic boarding schools in recent years in the capital city of Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara. It was evidenced by the gap between the number of Islamic schools and the number of applying students and accepted with the ratio of 1:5 (one accepted out of five applicants). This trend was also proven by the emergence of integrated schools, Tahfiz schools, Qur’anic schools, Islamic kindergarten and etc. This study aimed to examine the factors affecting the parents’ decision in sending their children to Islamic boarding schools in the city of Mataram. This study drew on the descriptive quantitative method that analyzed the data through multiple linier regression, F test and t-test. The statistical evidence showed that motivation (x1) and perceptions (x2) significantly influenced the parents’ decision to send their offspring to the Islamic schools (Y) in the capital city with 45% (motivation) and 51% (perceptions). It was also found that economic factor (x3) did not significantly influence their decision with only 29% contributing factor. This was caused by 62% of the parents having adequate permanent jobs and high levels of education from senior secondary to doctorate degree. The most influential factor for enrolling their children was the parents’ perceptions (x2) as evidenced by the value r= 51 or 51%, followed by motivation (X1) with 45%, and economic factor (X3) with 29%. This study also unveiled that the percentage of schooling preferences of the parents according to the school levels varied from SDIT/MI 37.2%, MTs/SMPIT 33.5%, and MA/SMAIT 29.3%.

      Abstract: This article aims to review teaching learning process base on Maslow hirarchy need at modern pesantren in indonesia at Pesantren (Islamic Boarding School) Al Amin, Prenduan, Sumenep.This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The research subjects were the teachers who had taught at the pesantren for over 10 years..From the research it is identified that such learning practice includes: 1) the provision of physical environment and learning books as basic needs of student (the students of pesantren), (2) advocacy, encouragement and role model, psychological environment that will give opportunity for student to ask, express their opinions, give inputs and criticism so as to satisfy the need of safety to student when learning, 3) collaborative learning, assistance to student experiencing problems in their learning as the expression of affection to student, 4) reward to student recording excellent achievement, reward to criticism and input uttered by student as recognition to their self-esteem, 5) active learning, talent and potential development as self-actualization expression of student.

  • Accommodation of "Merdeka Belajar" Spirit in Islamic Boarding School Nurul

      Abstract: Freedom to learn gives freedom to develop talent in students without the obstacles of formal rules that shackle the creativity of students. The study of independent learning in the context of an empirical boarding school is very rarely done. Even though pesantren are considered to have long been independent in learning. This study aims to describe clearly how Islamic boarding schools accommodate the free spirit of learning in their education system. This study uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interview data networks, observations and documentation. The results of this study indicate that there is accommodation of an independent spirit of learning at the Nurulhuda Pangdangan Islamic boarding school with three main things, firstly accommodation of an educational vision that leads to an independent spirit of learning by integrating religious and scientific knowledge. Facilitating the development of the potential of students as a whole with skills. empowerment of knowledge, skills, experience, attitudes and assessments based on national and global standards. Both forms of Islamic boarding schools are mu'allimin which are teachers' souls, where students can freely determine their competence while remaining teacher-minded. In accordance with the spirit of freedom which is one of the souls of the pesantren. Third is the accommodation of educational innovation in the service program in accordance with the educational goals of the pesantren which requires to return to the community, build human resource construction in the middle of the community culture, and serve while training the competence of students to be able to live in the community well. The four Islamic boarding schools are gender responsive by accommodating equality education, namely upholding justice in every educational activity by not making female students a second class. These findings strengthen the study of Islamic boarding schools and independent learning which so far have only been studied in the literature and are rarely carried out empirically. The results of this study also strengthen rahman's findings about equality education in Islamic boarding schools and reconstruct the study of Islamic boarding schools and Gender Responsiveness.

  • Curriculum Innovation: a Comparasion ‎Between the Goals and the Facts on
           2013 ‎Curriculum Implementation at Madrasah ‎Aliyah in Kabupaten

      Abstract: Curriculum 2013 (K13) is one form of innovation in the field of education initiated by the Indonesian government. As a top-down innovation model, it is very necessary to explore the perceptions of adopters of this innovation product. The adoption of an innovation product is strongly influenced by, among others, the adopter's perspective on the relative advantage, compatibility and complexity of the product. This study examines the influence of these three factors on the decisions of teachers (adopters) in adopting or implementing K13 in their learning practices. This problem is studied by using a mix method, quantitative method as the main approach and supported by a qualitative approach. The results of the regression analysis test show that there is a joint effect of the relative advantage, compatibility and complexity factors on the implementation of K13 with a correlation of 18.2%, but partially there is no influence between the factors of advantage and complexity on the implementation of K13. This shows that the adoption of K13 innovation is more widely accepted as a necessity, not because of a positive perception of K13 itself. The adopter's perception of K13 is influenced by their lack of knowledge of K13, both at the level of concept and implementation techniques. The results of this study recommend the need for intensive training for teachers in optimizing the implementation of K13 as expected.

      Abstract: Penelitian pemikiran dari salah satu tokoh pendidikan Islam dengan karyanya Tadzkiratus Sami wa al-Mutakallim fi Adabil Ilmi wa al Mutakallim bernama Ibnu Jama'ah, bertujuan untuk mengetahui relevansi pemikirannya di era modern terkait dengan tujuan belajar mengajar. Dengan menggunakan penelitian perpustakaan, analisis deskriptif melalui penilaian dari beberapa tinjauan literatur dan dari berbagai sumber lain yang relevan, akan diperoleh gambaran menyeluruh dan mendalam tentang adab-adab atau prosedur etis untuk mencapai tujuan belajar mengajar seperti yang diharapkan. Temuan kami menunjukkan bahwa telah terjadi penurunan moral saat ini sebagai akibat dari dampak modernisasi karena kurangnya pendidikan ilmu agama dan pendidikan moral pada peserta didik. Pemikiran Ibnu Jama'ah terkait dengan tujuan belajar mengajar masih relevan dan layak untuk diaplikasikan pada masa ini.

  • Pedagogic Competencies of PPL Teachers In ‎Madura: ‎ An Analysis of
           Tutors and Students’ Perceptions

      Abstract: The purpose of this study was to find out two things, namely how (a) the perception of civil servant teachers and (b) students' perceptions of the pedagogic competence of PPL teachers in schools. This study uses a descriptive type of quantitative approach. The research subjects consisted of 15 civil servant teachers and 237 students, 24 PPL teachers, and 4 schools/madrasahs, following the provisions of the 10% random sampling technique from Arikunto. The results showed that (a) the PPL teacher's pedagogic competence based on the perception of the civil servant teacher was classified as good. This is evidenced by the value of 73% of respondents' answers (H0 is rejected) (b) PPL teacher's pedagogic competence based on students' perceptions is quite adequate. This is evidenced by the value of 69.83% of the respondents' answers. (H0 is rejected). Based on the research findings, it is hoped that (a) civil servant teachers can provide more optimal guidance to student practitioners regarding lesson plans, discipline, order, and others; (b) students are expected to pay more attention to and optimize their potential when participating in learning with PPL teachers, (c) practical students as PPL teachers are expected to better master the characteristics of students, learning theories, better prepared in preparing lesson plans, better able in carry out educational learning, are better able to develop the potential of students, are better able to communicate effectively and politely, are better able to carry out and use evaluations, and are reflective.

  • Islamic Boarding School Education as a ‎National Multicultural

      Abstract: Pesantren is an institution that has inherited the nation's values, culture, and character, so it has a significant role in preserving multicultural values ​​to build the unity and integrity of the Indonesian nation. This study aims to reveal the implementation of multicultural education in Islamic boarding schools as a commitment to maintaining and respecting ethnic, ethnic, and cultural diversity. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of library research so that the data source comes from literature, books, and scientific articles. The results of this study indicate that the education system implemented in Islamic boarding schools has characteristics compared to public educational institutions. The educational values ​​carried are also in line with and uphold the values ​​of multicultural education as a manifestation of the life view of the pesantren community. Pesantren education, full of multicultural values, ​​can be used as a role model for national education because the education applied in pesantren contains fundamental values ​​in multicultural education. In addition, Islamic boarding school education is not only oriented to cognition, where knowledge and intellectuality are the main orientations in the educational paradigm. Instead, it emphasizes the development of human beings who have character, morality, human values, compassion, courtesy, and peace. The existence of diverse santri requires that the pesantren environment be designed inclusively by upholding the value of diversity and difference. A culture of mutual respect and respect for differences is an important thing to do in order to avoid the potential for significant conflicts on racial issues.
