Authors:Dimas Ardika Miftah Farid; Aniek Wirastania, Jahju Hartanti Abstract: The objective of this study is to examine the effectiveness of flashcards in enhancing students' self-concept. Self-concept is described as an individual's ability and characteristics that influence how they think about themselves and how they wish to present themselves ideally. This research employs a pre-experimental design using a one-group pre-test and post-test design. Data collection was conducted at Junior High School (SMP) Jalan Jawa Surabaya. Based on observations and interviews, it was found that approximately 55% of students face low self-concept issues, as indicated by the completion of guidance and counseling instruments. The statistical test results showed an Asymp. Sig value of 0.036, where Asymp. Sig 0.001 < α = 0.05, leading to the rejection of Ho and acceptance of H1. The pre-test and post-test scores also demonstrated an improvement in students' self-concept after the intervention with flash cards. Therefore, it can be concluded that flashcards are effective in enhancing students' self-concept. PubDate: Tue, 19 Mar 2024 00:00:00 +070
Authors:Febranti Putri Navion Abstract: The current phenomenon shows that students tend to be unable to accept differences, work with different groups, and appreciate diversity. However, in their activities as students and members of society, students need to exhibit respect as a fundamental behavior for interacting with their environment. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Value Clarification Technique (VCT) on students' respect behavior. The method used in this research is quantitative, with an experimental research type using a true experimental, pre-test, and post-test Control Group Design. The data collection tool used a respect behavior questionnaire, and the sampling technique used simple random sampling. The population in this study consists of 148 students from the Islamic Guidance and Counseling Study Program at UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung, with a sample of 60 students divided into two groups: an experimental group and a control group, each consisting of 30 students. The data analysis techniques used were the Wilcoxon test and the N-Gain score. The results showed a significant increase in respect behavior among students who received the VCT intervention, and the VCT technique was moderately effective in improving respect behavior. Authors:Siti Mukarromah; Weni Kurnia Rahmawati, Nailul Fauziyah Abstract: his research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of implementing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) counseling using the Personal Achievement Sheet (PAS) media as an effort to increase the level of self-confidence of Plus Abdul Aziz Jember Middle School students. Self-confidence plays an important role in students' personal development and academic achievement, so effective intervention strategies are crucial in the educational context. This research method uses an experimental approach with a pre-test and post-test design and a control group. The sample consisted of 14 students divided into 2 groups, namely the control group and the experimental group. The results of the analysis of the paired sample T-test showed a sig (2-tailed) score of 0.001 < 0.05, which means there was an increase in self-confidence because there was a significant difference in students' self-confidence before and after being given treatment. The data will provide an in-depth understanding of the extent to which the application of CBT counseling using PAS media can make a significant contribution to increasing students' self-confidence compared to conventional counseling methods. Authors:Dwi Nurul Hidayani; Venty Venty, Chr. Argo Widiharto Abstract: Guidance and counseling teacher face challenges in preparing service materials, thus necessitating the development of media that are easy for them to operate. One strategy to enhance the effectiveness of the learning process is through the use of interactive media, such as PowerPoint. This application is highly effective for presenting materials because it can integrate text, images, colors, layouts, and animations tailored to students' needs. The purpose of this study is to develop valid and reliable media to support teachers in delivering content in accordance with needs analysis results. This research employs a research and development (R&D) method following the ADDIE model, which includes five phases: 1) Analysis, 2) Design, 3) Development, 4) Implementation, and 5) Evaluation. Data were collected through feasibility tests by media experts and practicality tests involving teachers in a limited trial. The validity test by media experts showed a result of 75%, while the practicality trial by six teachers showed an effectiveness of 91.6%. Based on these results, the developed media has proven to be highly effective and suitable for use in schools. PubDate: Sat, 16 Mar 2024 00:00:00 +070
