  • Reframing: Cognitive Counseling Strategy to Achieve Student Happiness in
           Post Pandemic

    • Authors: Rosalia Dewi Nawantara; M. Ramli
Abstract: Happiness is something that every individual desires. Happy Feelings Refer to well-being of mental health. Not students at school. High academics that are not in accordance with abilities and good self-management can lead to unhappy conditions. Happiness (happiness) is synonymous with the term emotional well-being (EWB). Emotional well-being (EWB) or emotional well-being is an individual's state consisting of life satisfaction and positive feelings. The problem that occurs is that students feel less happy when they are at school because they do not immediately take perspective on a situation. For example, feeling that school is a place full of burdens, school is a boring place, and so on. The reframing technique is one of the techniques of cognitive therapy that aims to reorganize the desired emotional content and direct/reframe it towards a rational mind, so that the counselee can have various points of view on the self-concept/cognitive concept in various situations. This research method is literature study. Analysis of the data used is content analysis. The result of this research is the elaboration of theoretical studies on reframing techniques in cognitive therapy approaches that can be used to achieve students' emotional well-being.

  • The Effect of Gender Composition on the Dynamics of Group Guidance
           Implementation

    • Authors: Titin Rosyidah; Eko Darminto, Retno Tri Hariastuti
Abstract: The composition of the sex-based group is operationally defined as three groups in the guidance group which are formed homogeneously and heterogeneously based on gender, namely: the male homogeneous group, the female homogeneous group, and the heterogeneous sex group. This study aims to direct the influence of gender-based group composition in group guidance groups on group dynamics. The research was conducted through a quasi-experimental approach with a nonequivalent control group design. The research subjects were 30 randomly selected from students at SMP Negeri 1 Pungging. The One-Way ANOVA test analysis results showed a p-value (sig. 0.000), so it was known that p <0.05. These calculations prove that gender-based group composition in the guidance group has a significant positive effect on group dynamics. The implication of this finding is that guidance groups for junior high school students will be effective if they are made up homogeneously based on gender, especially the female sex.

The quality of education is not only measured in the academic component but how can guarantee the development of independent students in accordance with the stages of development where one of the main components is student character. This article uses a literature review approach, namely selecting specific sources according to the theme, identifying articles, and then compiling articles. Meanwhile, the data collection technique used is through journals, books, and articles, both national and international, which are related to the subject matter that is the theme of this article. In order to support the study, a small survey was conducted at the school, namely SMA I Lembang Bandung. Education is carried out with the aim of forming not only the academic component of students but also delivering students to be independent as a whole. In forming the independent character of students, it is necessary to have parties who have responsibility and authority such as teachers, parents, and the community. On the other hand, cultural factors which are an integral component of the community structure cannot be separated from influencing the character development factors of independent students. Thus it is necessary to have synergy in building quality Human Resources (HR).
