           Kabupaten Buleleng, Bali

    • Authors: Ni Made Ary Widiastini, Made Aristia Aristia Prayudi, Putu Indah Rahmawati, I Gede Rasben Dantes
      Pages: 116 - 131
Abstract: The presence of increasingly sophisticated information technology has implications for the emergence of various innovations and creativity, by utilizing the development of information technology. One that is growing rapidly during the pandemic is a virtual tour, as a substitute for a tour to a place directly, which is brought to a screen using either a laptop, PC or mobile phone. Sidatapa Village, as one of the tourist villages in Buleleng Regency, has recently developed tourism products, one of which is a tour to get to know the culture in the village, experiencing obstacles due to the social restrictions. Tourists cannot visit the village directly and get to know the culture in the ancient village. Seeing the trend of virtual tours that are well developed in Indonesia, in this community service program, tourism community group who act as tour guides are given virtual tour training. Sidatapa village is unique, namely as the village of Bali Aga and has an old house called Bale Tumpang Salu, as well as ancient cultural activities which are still preserved until now, has the potential to develop a virtual tour. In village mentoring activities, tourism awareness groups are given virtual tour training involving the role of the industry, namely the Trex Tour. Through training and mentoring provided by academics and industry, the tourism awareness group of Sidatapa Village was able to design and carry out virtual tours.

           Destinasi Pariwisata Dieng

    • Authors: Destha Titi Raharjana, Mohamad Yusuf, Arry Retnowati
      Pages: 132 - 148
Abstract: Efforts to reduce disaster risks should be a main endeavour in every development, including in tourism sector. In many places, the tourism industry is vulnerable to disasters, either directly or indirectly. Either the tourism sector triggers disasters, or it can be affected by disasters. The Dieng Plateau area is one of the leading tourism destinations in Central Java which has potentials to attract tourists. But behind its beautiful charm, this destination holds a threat. The people of Dieng Kulon, Batur District, Banjarnegara Regency, Central Java live in a disaster-prone area. They do not forget the series of disasters had occured around them. On the other hand, the surrounding nature in the village provides economic benefits, one of them comes from the tourism sector. The disaster risk reduction (DRR) approach is strategic to be applied in this village. Through the Education for Sustainability Development (ESD) program, the Dieng Pandawa Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) has to be strengthened its role so that the Pokdarwis is able to become one of the elements in DRR, especially the ability related to the process of rescueing tourists. Disaster threats on a tourism location makes the tourism industry very vulnerable, but it should be attempted that this destination or industry will become resilient at the same time. Disaster risk reduction programs and capacity building for Pokdarwis are strategic to be implemented and directed in building disaster mitigation plans.====Upaya mengurangi resiko bencana perlu menjadi arus utama dalam setiap pembangunan, termasuk di sektor kepariwisataan. Melalui program Education for Sustainabe Deveopment (ESD), Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) Dieng Pandawa diperkuat perannya supaya mampu menjadi salah satu unsur dalam PRB, khususnya kemampuan terkait proses penyelamatan wisatawan.

    • Authors: Setiadi Setiadi, Henny Ekawati, Fadlan Habib
      Pages: 149 - 164
Abstract: The implementation of Law No. 6 2014 faces obstacles due to the weak quality of village officials and institutions. This has an impact on the weakening role of the village government in its function as a development accelerator. It is necessary to increase the capacity of the apparatus in order to understand how development planning processes should be carried out at the village level, and how these processes are supported by strong village government institutions. In addition, there needs to be a control mechanism for the village government. This can be done by strengthening the role of the BPD. With the increased quality and capacity of village government apparatus and institutions, as well as strong civil society control played by the BPD, there will be a synergy in implementing good development at the village level. Village officials are no longer the sole player in village development. Efforts to create these ideal conditions continue to be in progress at the village level and will always be dynamic due to the influence of supralocal powers which are sometimes not in line with the development and will of the local community.====Implementasi UU No. 6 Tahun 2014 menghadapi kendala akibat lemahnya kualitas aparat dan kelembagaan desa.

    • Authors: Mahirta Mahirta
      Pages: 165 - 174
Abstract: Papers and old books are important part of museum collections in many museums in Yogyakarta, even some of them have very significant value and become masterpiece collections. Some old books such as from Islamic and colonial period have unique binding structures that should be preserved too as it become a historical marker. Therefore, special care for paper collections and old books should be carried out by museum conservator. Unfortunately, not all museums in Yogyakarta have professional conservator. Bear in mind that many museums in Yogyakarta has significant value of paper collection, a workshop of paper conservation was conducted on 18-19 September 2019 in Museum UGM, as a community service for museum communities in Yogyakarta. Through this workshop, participants managed to identify types of damage on paper collections, identify the cause of damage, and conduct simple interventive conservation.====Kertas dan buku tua merupakan bagian penting dari koleksi museum di banyak museum di Yogyakarta, bahkan beberapa memiliki nilai yang sangat penting dan menjadi koleksi istimewa.

Abstract: The Covid-19 pandemic has affected various aspects of human life, including to the fashion sector. The negative impact of the pandemic has disrupted the business operations of MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) players, that exports cannot be carried out so that production does not run properly. This program, in collaboration with FFTI (Forum Fair Trade Indonesia) and IFC (Indonesian Fashion Chamber), aims to assist MSMEs in preparing products that can be made and marketed during the new normal in the local and global markets. The online seminar, which was held twice by presenting competent speakers, is expected to be able to help as well as open the insights of MSMEs in the fashion sector to be ready to run their business during the pandemic and new normal by continuing to be creative and think positively.====Pandemi Covid-19 telah berpengaruh terhadap berbagai aspek kehidupan manusia, termasuk dalam bidang fashion. • Pemakaian Bahasa Persuasif Media Luar Ruang Selama Masa Pandemik Covid-19
di Dusun Nyangkringan, Kelurahan Bantul, Kecamatan Bantul, DIY

    • Authors: Rudi Ekasiswanto, Ridha Mashudi Wibowo
      Pages: 183 - 190
Abstract: The use of appropriate language by speakers has been proven to be able to convey messages clearly to the speech partners that they want, and it can even further change the behavior of the speech partners. This can be exemplified by the use of persuasive language in outdoor media. In order to get considerable attention, outdoor media installation is usually installed in a strategic location. The billboards that are installed, for example, are designed to be large and permanently installed within a certain period of time. The information displayed in billboards is arranged with the right diction, special sentence structure, and has a strong persuasive impact supported by an attractive design. Unfortunately, not all community members have the ability to make representative billboards. Community service activities in Nyangkringan village are aimed to develop two abilities, namely the ability to use language effectively and also to design attractive and informative-persuasive billboards. After receiving adequate guidance, the community service activity participants have been able to create billboards that are memorable and informative-persuasive. The installation of billboards at a later stage of the project indicates a significant change in behavior due to increased public awareness of the Covid-19 pandemic. It is hoped that with the abilities that they already have, in the future, the community service participants can make the necessary outdoor media according to their designation.====Pemakaian bahasa penutur secara tepat telah terbukti dapat menyampaikan pesan dengan jelas kepada mitra tutur yang dikehendakinya, bahkan lebih jauh lagi dapat mengubah perilaku mitra tutur. Abstract: The use of Gunung Wingko for modern settlements has a significant impact on the preservation of the site. One of the efforts that can be done to prevent the widespread damage to the site is by disseminating important values and determining the site as a cultural heritage. Considering that this stipulation can trigger conflict, it is necessary to carry out careful preparation accompanied by socialization of the values (culture and knowledge) and dialogue with stakeholders through FGD. Sanden Fair, which is an annual event, is one of the means of disseminating research results that have long been carried out at the Mount Wingko Site and the importance of the site. In order to maintain awareness of the importance of the site, an embryo of Gunung Wingko Site Information Center was created. In the future, local communities can be involved in filling out the materials and managing the Information Center that has been initiated. In a FGD involving all stakeholders in Bantul Regency and the DIY Cultural Heritage Conservation Office, it was found that the designation of Gunung Wingko as a cultural heritage was constrained by the absence of site delineation. The Department of Archaeology FIB UGM team proposes gradual protection, starting from the determination of the area of the core zone which refers to the results of previous research. Communities living around the site also need to be involved in the activity of determining Gunung Wingko as a cultural heritage and need to get accurate information about the consequences and impacts of determining the site.====Pemanfatan Situs Gunung Wingko untuk permukiman baru telah membawa dampak yang signifikan terhadap kelestarian situs.

           Bidang Sosial-Humaniora

Abstract: Pada hari Jumat, 11 September 2020, pukul 09.00-11.00 WIB, Unit Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dan Alumni FIB UGM menyelenggarakan seminar “Pengembangan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat di Masa Pandemi, Bidang Sosial-Humaniora” secara daring via Google Meet. Irfan Dwidya Prijambada Ph.D. (Direktorat Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat UGM), Dr. Hempri Suyatna, S.Sos, M.Si. (Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Politik UGM), Rahmawan Jatmiko, M.A. (Fakultas Ilmu Budaya, Universitas Gadjah Mada), dan Dr. Anggraeni, M.A.
