Authors:Yusri Yusri Pages: 1 - 10 Abstract: This study aims to determine the forms of violence experienced by children at home and how parents understand violence. The research methodology used is quantitative through a survey approach. Research participants consisted of children (12-17 years old) and parents. Data collection techniques used are online surveys and interviews. The online survey was conducted for all participants consisting of 50 children and 50 parents. Meanwhile, the interviews were only conducted with a sample of parents. All respondents agreed to participate in this study through a verbal consent form. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics and qualitative descriptive. The findings of this study indicate that 1) parents still tend to commit various forms of violence against children such as physical violence, verbal violence, emotional violence, and neglect. This violent behavior is carried out for various reasons, both consciously and unconsciously. 2) Parents tend to understand that violence only consists of physical violence and verbal violence. 3) there is a relationship between parents' lack of understanding about violence and the potential for violence perpetrated by parents against children. This study also recommends that it is important to conduct interventions for parents that focus on increasing parents' understanding of the types of violence and the negative impacts caused as a form of preventing domestic violence. Authors:Nurming Saleh, Misnawati Usman, Abd. Kasim Achmad Pages: 11 - 18 Abstract: . This study aims to obtain data and information related to lecturer communication patterns in German competence teaching. The course is focused on German language competence, consisting of four competencies: reading (Lesen), listening (Hören), writing (Schreiben), and speaking (Sprechen). The research was conducted in the German Language Education Study Program at the Faculty of Language and Literature. The results showed that the communication patterns used by lecturers in German competence teaching included as many as 291 communication patterns with details: primary communication patterns as many as 91 (verbal as many as 69 and nonverbal as many as 22), secondary communication patterns as many as 69, interpersonal communication patterns as many as 20, linear communication patterns as many as 49, and circular communication patterns as many as 61. The use of communication patterns by lecturers in German competence teaching from the highest to the lowest levels is primary communication patterns (31%), secondary communication patterns (24%), circular communication patterns (21%), linear communication patterns (17%), and interpersonal communication patterns (7%). Authors:Jasruddin Daud Malago, Ridwan Daud Mahande, Wirawan Setialaksana Pages: 19 - 33 Abstract: This research investigates the factors of students' self-regulated learning (SRL) skills in online learning environments from the demographic perspectives of gender and major. The study employs a survey design and involves 103 students selected through simple random sampling. Data collection uses the SOL-Q questionnaire and observation. The collected data is analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, and one-way ANOVA. The research results indicate that among the five components of SRL, the environmental structure obtained a high score, meaning that environmental structure contributes significantly to SRL in online learning for physics and non-physics majors. Meanwhile, time management received a low score, indicating that time management contributes less to SRL. There is no significant difference in each component of SRL based on gender and major. Furthermore, there is no significant effect of gender and major on the level of SRL PubDate: 2023-05-28 DOI: 10.26858/ijes.v26i1.43510 Issue No:Vol. 26, No. 1 (2023)
