This training program covers the development of knowledge, skills, attitudes, personality traits, and motivation to become a translator. The research participants included 16 undergraduates and graduates in Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and English. The participants underwent the training program and worked on translation tasks for 10 months. They were assessed for their development in 7 areas of competency by their advisor and themselves at the beginning and end of the project. The research results found that the participants were satisfied with the training program and had better development results in all 7 areas of competency. The participants are, therefore, equipped with both hard skills and soft skills to become translators in workplaces in the EEC area. • Exploring Out-of-Class English Frequency and Preferences A Students

    • Authors: Pinyada Wiriya
      Pages: 213 - 227
Abstract: Out-of-class English language learning plays a crucial role in enhancing language proficiency and fostering learner autonomy (Benson, 2011). Moreover, it allows students to take control of their language learning journey and develop lifelong skills beyond traditional classroom settings. This study investigated the frequency and preference of out-of-class English learning activities among English major students at Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University, Thailand. Applying purposive sampling, 249 students participated in the survey. A questionnaire, adapted from Cheng (2015) and Sun (2016) and translated into Thai, was employed. The analysis included the calculation of mean and standard deviation, with interpretation based on the Likert scale. The findings revealed that participants demonstrated a moderate frequency of participation in out-of-class activities. In terms of preferences, participants showed a neutral level of preference for out-of-class English learning activities.
In conclusion, the findings suggest that students should be encouraged to engage in out-of-class English language learning by suggesting different activities. It is important to find a balance between what students like and what they don't like for better language learning outside of the regular class.

Finally, analyzing the cultural value of Gaocheng Palace Lantern as a folk art in the process of commercialization and the pros and cons of commercialization, the final conclusion is that Gaocheng Palace Lantern as a folk art has both benefits and drawbacks in the process of commercialization. This article uses qualitative research methods to conduct in-depth research on the commercialization of palace lanterns in Gaocheng, Hebei Province, based on literature review, field research, and interviews. Commercialization is a popular concept in economic research, and the content of this study will expand the scope of this concept. At the same time, it will provide reference and inspiration for other researchers, enriching the theoretical system and research methods in related fields.
Folk art is the accumulation of traditional Chinese culture for thousands of years, and is a product of aesthetic significance created by our ancestors through practical life. It is a perfect combination of technology and art. As a treasure of Chinese culture, the craftsmanship spirit of the palace lamp makers in Gaocheng is extremely precious in today's society. Gaocheng Palace Lanterns have strong local characteristics. During festivals, every household and street has red lights hanging high. At the same time, there are also activities such as sightseeing and guessing lantern riddles, which are very interesting.

reflective study of traditional painting skills

    • Authors: Wang Yaxing, Sastra Laoakka
      Pages: 250 - 271
Abstract: The three purposes of this research can be outlined as follows:1)To study historical background of Minquan painting of folk art in China. 2) To study current sittuations and problems of Minquan“ Painting Tiger Village”.3) To present guidelines for protection and development of Minquan“ Painting Tiger Village” In order to maximize first-hand information and conduct in-depth research, this study used qualitative research supported by participatory research, and surveys, observations and data from relevant literature and fields.Respondents included: 1) 4 Key Informant. 2) 12 Casual Informant. 3) 20 General Informant.
The results show that the folk art needs to explore new development paths from the establishment of the subject position, the protection of the living environment, and the excavation of universal elements. However, insufficient attention is still paid to the protection of folk art.The research subject of this paper, "Painting tiger Village", was originally a typical poor village on the eastern Henan plain, and the villagers have always maintained the tradition of folk painting. From the embryonic period of the 1960s to the 1960s and 1970s, a group of peasant painters in the village tried to change the poor and backward life difficulties through their own artistic talents, and finally achieved success. With the rapid development of the society, the village is facing a severe test, and various problems come one after another, which greatly restricts the development of folk art. People's attention is more on whether the economic benefits can be obtained, and what is the essence of the development of Huhu Village, which leads to the bottom soon after the rise.

  • Kaen Isan Wat: Integrated Learning Space for Secondary School Students
through the Creation of Local Culture-based Theatre

    • Authors: Pachaya Akkapram
      Pages: 299 - 323
Abstract: This article presents the Kaen Isan Wat Project, which operated from 2019 to 2023. Its primary objective is to examine, analyze, and elucidate the principles and practices of the project. The Kaen Isan Wat Project integrates theatre arts, education, and local culture by establishing theatre production areas for secondary school students in northeastern Thailand. The author employed a method to gather information from various sources and applied the concept of theatre to integrate learning management as the analytical framework. The study's finding revealed that the Kaen Isan Wat Project has developed activity based on annually established questions and concepts. Theater-making workshops were conducted to impart fundamental knowledge to students and to enable them to utilize local community areas as learning bases through the integration of two forms: intradisciplinary and interdisciplinary. Notably, the project has sparked a creative phenomenon in secondary school students, unlike other student theatre competitions organized by the Ministry of Education in Thailand. Students are encouraged to explore their potential, including crafting local narratives that deeply reflect community cultural values. This creative youth theater initiative offers a new alternative to the prevailing stories and dramas in Thai society.

  • Mudmee Weaving: Preserving the Artistic Tapestry of Life in the SongKwae
           Town

    • Authors: Thamonwan Sangnak, Krishna Honguten, Preecha Thaothong
      Pages: 324 - 343
Abstract: Mudmee weaving is a traditional art of weaving indigenous fabric. It involves weaving fabric from threads that have undergone a process of tie-dyeing before being woven to create patterns and colors according to preference. This article focuses on presenting the unique beauty of Mudmee silk fabric from Ban Muang Hom, Wang Thong District, Phitsanulok Province, also known as "Songkwae" town. This fabric is a cultural heritage product reflecting the local wisdom and pride in the hometown, which is manifested through distinctive patterns of the Lanna region, especially the peacock feather pattern, chicken comb pattern, Songkwae pattern, flowing water pattern, or Nan river pattern. These patterns are like the streams of the heart that never cease to flow, continuously accompanying the flow of time, becoming intertwined lives. The concept of the "cultural stream" is reflected in interviews with experts, weavers, local fabric weaving wisdom, and local fabric collectors, explaining the deep meaning and significance hidden in the fabric patterns, and the factors that contribute to the beautiful way of life, akin to delicately threading a needle onto fabric to embroider and weave. The intrinsic identity of spiritual value emerges in a tangible form, or in other words, it is the creation of methods that can sway or awaken people's consciousness to the value of beauty in every moment of reminiscing about their native homeland.
