Authors:Yosi Yulizah First page: 191 Abstract: One of the goals of national education is the effort to form children's character. Without exception, children who have a good sense of sight, both of whom cannot function properly, are called blind people with disabilities and also need good character education as an effort to develop the potentials that exist within them optimally and optimally. Natural education science is one of the subjects that also requires the development of character education. The data collection method uses library research, with a qualitative approach and the data source is secondary data. Furthermore, the data analysis technique is by managing data (reduction), data display, and conclusions from the final results of data collection carried out. The results of this study obtained a clear explanation of: A. Character education, B. Characteristics of science studies, C. Science learning, D. Science learning objectives, E. Children with special needs, F. Braille, G. Implementation of education-based science learning Braille characters for blind students can be implemented in three stages, including: 1). Planning consists of formulating learning objectives, selecting and packaging materials by incorporating character education values into the lesson plans; 2). Implementation consists of science subjects and integration with other subjects; 3). Evaluation consists of assessment activities based on the application of character education values that are implemented on the attitudes and behavior of students with visual impairments in schools. Authors:Asyifa Luthfiana Arfani, Fitri Yuliawati First page: 211 Abstract: The background of this research is due to the lack of understanding of low-grade students regarding the concept of multiplication in thematic subjects. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of understanding of low grade students in understanding the concept of multiplication. This study uses a qualitative method, by examining data sources from several students. In addition, the researchers also conducted a literature study on several sources of books and articles to enrich the information. The sample in this study were 15 low-grade students. The instrument used is a test to measure the knowledge and abilities of students. The data obtained were then processed and analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis techniques. The results showed that: (1) The average value of understanding 15 students about the basic concept of multiplication was 67.33%; (2) The lack of inculcation of the basic concept of multiplication counting operations is not carried out early on; (3) Students' skills in understanding the basic method of multiplication are still lacking; (4) The achievement and encouragement of students in learning on multiplication operations is still low. And animals. The type of research descriptive qualitative approach. The process of implementing the mixed learning model has been carried out well, namely the learning process is carried out through two stages, namely face-to-face and online, there is collaboration between the two learning models, namely the collaboration stage of sharing the syntax of the mixed learning model, the assessment between the two learning models, and the support from various parties, planning, and syntax. There are also in hibiting and supporting factors in implementing thei mplementation of the mixed learning model at SDN 76 Bengkulu City, in hibiting factors such as lack of attention from parents, students who are not ready when learning, and economic factors. Authors:Masrurotul Mahmudah, Al Ikhwanah Al Ikhwanah, Muh. Ngali Zainal Makmun First page: 251 Abstract: Competition for the quality of graduate graduates is both a challenge and an opportunity for every study program, especially the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education study program (PGMI). Self-actualization of the development of job opportunities is important, especially in increasing student competence so that they can graduate and be accepted by stakeholders. This is a supplement to become a conductor in realizing multitalent and professional educators. Based on questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation, it was obtained data that the development of the labschool program practicum module in improving the professional competence of the PGMI study program students of the Islamic Religion Institute Ma'arif NU Metro Lampung got a good category. This can be seen from the acquisition of scores of 80% media experts and 78% material experts. This development is expected to be used as a guide for developing student professional competence from the implementation stage to the assessment stage. This program aims to deliver professional and multitalented teaching staff candidates. Thus PGMI graduates are ready to compete in the world of work and can be accepted by graduate users well PubDate: 2021-12-10 DOI: 10.29240/jpd.v5i2.3157 Issue No:Vol. 5, No. 2 (2021)
Authors:Herani Tri Lestiana First page: 263 Abstract: Merely providing the formula of area in the learning activity can impede students’ deep understanding of the concept of area. This study was a qualitative design research that aimed to develop a learning design by using the context of pixel art and grid paper to build students' knowledge of the concept of area measurement. There were three stages in this study, namely, preparation, teaching experiment, and retrospective analysis. The subjects of this study were 25 students of P3 (Primary 3) SD Global Inbyra School. However, the discussion focused on a group consisting of three students. The research subjects were given a mini lesson consisting of 2 meetings. It can be seen from the first meeting that the pixel art drawn by the students built on their initial measuring ability because they automatically notice that half square and half square make up 1 square. At the second meeting, students demonstrated their ability to estimate the number of squares (area) in an irregular picture. In the activity of making any shapes that have an area of 20 square units, students were aware that to find the area of the rectangle, they can use repeated addition which can be directed to the area of the rectangle (p x l).
