      Digital technologies place their functionality and power at the service of a hypercommunication that is now reaching all strata of the population, especially students. Against this backdrop, the relationship with knowledge is itself reconfigured: cultural, scientific and academic contents, etc., are accessible online and students frequently use them. This communicational and informational efficiency allows social distancing and can reinforce it. Using the lens of the ethics of care, we can understand that the care that everyone needs, as a dependent being, requires a presence. This presence is not simple; it carries multiple parameters, including a certain relationship with others and a form of composure. In order to better understand this hiatus between digital distancing and presence, a survey was carried out among two groups of students, which allowed us to situate the experience and feelings of young people during the different phases of (COVID-19) confinements and highlighted the extent of the difficulty induced by distance.

      The act of evaluation is never neutral in education. In the classroom, for example, grades lead to questions about the fairness and objectivity of evaluations. Ethical benchmarks are needed to answer these questions. While digital technology raises challenges in evaluation (plagiarism and confidentiality, among others), little has been written about the ethical issues of assessing student learning in distance education (DE). This article therefore aims to understand the ethical concerns related to digital evaluation in distance education. A phenomenological research conducted with 10 faculty members shows that digital technology in distance education arouses an absence of interpersonal connections. Technology-mediated feedback causes a loss of resonance and desynchronizes the relationship with others. The ethics of caring and responsibility provides markers for creating new connections. Taking care of the other, for his or her success, is then understood as a professional responsibility of professors in distance education.
       
  • TIC et inégalités scolaires en lycée et en collège au
           Burkina Faso

      ICTs are an alternative resource for accessing information in general, and academic knowledge in particular. In high schools and colleges, in Burkina Faso, students are often subjected to documentary research activities on the internet outside of the school. How do students access ICTs for these researches' Interviews with teachers and students reveal that economically disadvantaged families are unable to provide their children with access to the ICTs necessary for carrying out documentary research activities on the Internet. Thereby, the integration of ICTs in the educational system, under unequal conditions, promotes disparities in access to knowledge that can support students in their learning, and therefore, reinforces unequal opportunities in schools.

      Digital devices have colonized many facets of our daily lives and compulsory schools are now appropriating this evolution. The announced learning goals are often associated with the notion of digital citizenship. At the same time, educational institutions are defining the digital learning environments that teachers and students must adopt. Positioning themselves in the digital humanities, the authors question the posted definitions of digital citizenship, confront them with the sui generis nature of the digital and its industry, and finally question the connection between these and the public school. Issues of citizen empowerment, autonomy and governance serve the analysis and allow us to conclude that it is necessary to debate the pedagogical-digital contradictions.

      Do teachers have more pedagogical autonomy than in the past' Did they become teaching professionals' It seems that their professional autonomy is not fully recognized. They are often treated as subordinates. At least, our research shows that they are often accused of offenses of insubordination. Here we present some of our research findings on insubordination court decisions against teachers.
       
  • L’OCDE et l’éducation : déclination d’un changement
           institutionnel et impératif d’adaptation d’un apprenant perpétuel

      Since their creation, international organizations, notably OECD and UNESCO, as well as the World Bank, are preoccupied with education, as an institution producing what economists refer to as the human factor. Amongst them, OECD, whose mission is firemost economic, has assumed a dominant position in the domain of educational policies. In this article, we look at the evolution of OECD discourse and knowledge tools. We will show that, over time, this discourse has amplified, becoming an important instutional change discourse, encompassing all dimensions and levels of education. Adopting a criticial stance, we will use the conceptual tools of Boltanski and Thévenot’s (1991) pragmatic sociology, sociological neoinstitutionalism (Suchman, 1995; Campbell, 2004), and neomarxists writings of foucaldian inspiration on neoliberalism (Dardot et Laval, 2009). In conclusion, we discus educational policy denationalization as well as the functionalist adaptation paradigm, which escapes criticism.
       
  • Analyse des programmes d’éducation civique et morale au Burkina Faso :
           étude sur la validité d’un modèle

      An analysis model for educational programs for living-together has been developed by Bouchard, Desruisseaux and Daniel (2013) for northern francophone countries (France, Belgium and Quebec), then validated by the study of a language contrast case (England). This model includes three major or “simple” components: -Personal or self-Training (PT), Education to the other (EO), Education to the society (ES)- and four secondary or “combined” components (PT/EO, PT/ES, EO/ES, PT/OE/ES). The research from which this article derives shows the relevance of this model for studying educational programs in francophone countries of the southern hemisphere as well; yet, it calls for enriching the model through the refinement of its components. Indeed, the analysis of civic and moral educational programs in Burkina Faso suggests an ethics education where the relationship between the individual pupil (PT) and the common framework of the Burkinabe society is predominant.
