  • The Effect of the Edmodo-Assisted Discovery Learning Model on Students’
           Scientific Literacy Ability

      Abstract: This study aims to see how the Edmodo-assisted Discovery Learning model affects students' scientific literacy skills. This study is a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group. The experimental class is taught using the Edmodo-assisted discovery learning methodology. Data were collected using a pretest and a posttest to measure the increase in students' scientific literacy skills. The experimental class received an N-Gain of 0.51, while the control class received an N-Gain of 0.29. The significance of the Independent Sample t-test on student N-Gain scores is 0.000, which is lower than 0.005, indicating that the Edmodo-assisted discovery learning model has a substantial effect on students' scientific literacy skills. The results of the questionnaire analysis also revealed that students were enthusiastic about Edmodo-assisted discovery learning. As a result, the Edmodo-assisted discovery learning model considerably impacts students' scientific literacy skills.ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Discovery Learning berbantu Edmodo terhadap kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest non equivalent control group design. Model discovery learning berbantu Edmodo diterapkan pada kelas eksperimen. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan pretest dan posttest untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kelas eksperimen mendapatkan N-Gain sebesar 0,51 sedangkan kelas kontrol mendapatkan N-Gain sebesar 0,29. Uji Independen Sample t-test terhadap skor N-Gain siswa menunjukkan signifikansi 0.000 < 0,005 yang berarti model discovery learning berbantu Edmodo berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik. Hasil analisis angket juga menunjukan respon yang baik dari siswa terhadap pembelajaran discovery learning berbantu edmodo. Dengan demikan dapat disimpulkan bahwa model discovery learning berbantu Edmodo berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik.

  • Development of P3D Learning Strategy Using Google Sites to Support
           21st-Century Skills

      Abstract: This research aims to create a product (a P3D learning strategy using google sites to support 21st-century skills). This research employed Hannafin and Peck's Research and Development (R & D) method. A needs assessment (need assessment), product design (product design), product development, and implementation comprise the research design (development and implementation). Teacher and student interview sheets, media, material expert validation questionnaire sheets, and teacher and student answer sheets are among the instruments employed. Techniques for gathering data include interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis for interviews was accomplished by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, whereas data analysis for questionnaires was accomplished through quantitative and qualitative methods. The study's population consisted of senior high school science-majored students in Lebak Regency, with a sample size of 30 from SMAN 1 Bojongmanik and 30 from SMAN 3 Cibeber. The product feasibility test, conducted by two media experts and two material experts, revealed that this product was feasible with an average value of 77%.ABSTRAK: Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk menghasilkan produk (strategi pembelajaran P3D menggunakan google sites untuk menunjang keterampilan abad 21). Metode penelitian menggunakan Research-Development (R & D) dengan desain penelitian yang dikembangkan oleh Hannafin and Peck. Desain penelitian terdiri dari penilaian kebutuhan (need assessment), desain produk (product design), pengembangan dan implementasi produk (development and implementation). Instrumen yang digunakan antara lain lembar wawancara guru dan siswa, lembar angket validasi ahli media dan materi, lembar respon guru dan siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dan angket. Analisis data untuk wawancara dilakukan dengan cara mereduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan sedangkan analisis data pada angket dengan cara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Populasi penelitian merupakan siswa dan siswi SMA MIPA di Kabupaten Lebak dengan sampel berjumlah 30 orang dari SMAN 1 Bojongmanik dan 30 orang dari SMAN 3 Cibeber. Hasil uji kelayakan produk oleh dua ahli media dan dua ahli materi menunjukan bahwa produk ini layak untuk digunakan dengan nilai rerata sebesar 77%.

  • The Use Value of Medicinal Plant Species of Dawan (Amanatun) Community in
           Hoineno Village, South Central Timor District

      Abstract: This research aims to determine the use of plants in traditional medicine. This ethnobotany study is quantitative and descriptive and includes exploratory survey techniques and interviews. The research sample included 30 people who identified as shamans/healers or had expertise in medicinal herbs. In this study, quantitative descriptive analysis was employed to analyze the data. Indonesian names, local names, scientific names, family names, organs used, and their advantages are all recorded. Species Use Value is used to calculate the use value of a plant species (SUV). The Dawan community (Amanatun) used 42 species found in this study to cure 30 ailments divided into 13 disease categories. Based on the species use value (SUV) assessment, Dawan (Amanatun) has a pretty high confidence level in 13 of the 42 medicinal plant species identified. Zingiber officinale Rosc. has the highest use value (SUV of 0.97), whereas Milletia sericea (Vent.) has the lowest value (SUV of 0.03).ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan tanaman sebagai obat tradisional. Studi etnobotani dalam penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik survey ekploratif  dan wawancara. Sampel penelitian sebayak 30 orang yang tergolong dukun/tabib dan masyarakat yang memiliki pengetahuan  tentang tanaman obat. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Data yang dicatat adalah nama indonesia, nama lokal, nama ilmiah, nama family, organ yang digunakan, dan manfaatnya. Menghitung nilai guna suatu spesies tanaman dengan menggunakan perhitungan Spesies Use Value (SUV). Sebanyak 42 spesies yang teridentifikasi dalam penelitian ini dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat Dawan (Amanatun) untuk mengobati 30 jenis penyakit yang dikelompokan dalam 13 kategori penyakit. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan nilai guna spesies (SUV) menunjukan bahwa dari 42 spesies tanaman obat yang teridentifikasi, masyarakat Dawan (Amantun) memiliki tingkat kepercayaan yang cukup tinggi pada 13 spesies. Nilai guna paling tinggi yaitu Zingiber officinale Rosc. (SUV sebesar 0,97), dan terendah yaitu Milletia sericea (Vent.) (SUV sebesar 0,03).

  • Literature Study of Islamic Values Integration in Biology Subject in
           SMA/MA (Senior High Schools/Islamic Senior High School)

      Abstract: Because science, including biology, has a tight relationship with Islamic knowledge, learning biology in schools should not be viewed as a monodisciplinary that stands alone but rather as having an axiological value system tied to other disciplines. This sort of research is literature research that refers to a previously conducted issue and tries to identify the extent to which the integration process of Islamic principles in Biology learning in SMA/MA (Senior High Schools/Islamic Senior High Schools) has been carried out. The data was collected through secondary sources such as credible national and international journal publications published in the Google Scholar database. The findings of this study indicate that the application of the integration of Islamic values in biology learning in SMA/MA can be made through several models, including (1) the Al-Qur'an integration model as a source of inspiration, namely placing the Qur'an at the beginning of learning as an umbrella of knowledge; and (2) the Qur'an integration model as a source of confirmation, namely scientific findings are to clarify what has been stated by the Qur'anABSTRAK: Ilmu sains termasuk Biologi mempunyai hubungan yang erat dengan pengetahuan Islam sehingga pembelajaran Biologi di sekolah semestinya tidak hanya dipandang sebagai monodisiplin ilmu yang berdiri sendiri, tetapi secara aksiologis memiliki sistem nilai yang berkaitan dengan disiplin ilmu lainnya. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan (literature research) yang mengacu pada suatu topik yang sebelumnya pernah dilakukan yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana proses integrasi nilai-nilai Islam yang telah dilakukan dalam pembelajaran Biologi di SMA/MA. Data yang diperoleh berupa data sekunder yang bersumber pada artikel jurnal nasional maupun internasional yang diterbitkan dalam database Google Scholar. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan integrasi nilai-nilai Islam dalam pembelajaran Biologi di SMA/MA, diantaranya adalah (1) model integrasi Al-Qur’an sebagai sumber isnpirasi, yaitu meletakkan Al-Qur’an pada awal pembelajaran sebagai payung pengetahuan; (2) model integrasi Al-Qur’an sebagai sebagai sumber konfirmasi, yaitu temuan dalam sains adalah memperjelas apa yang telah dikermukakan Al-Qur’an.

           Learning through Liveworksheet E-LKPD Based on Scientific Approach

      Abstract: This study aimed to assess junior high school students' critical thinking skills in biology learning using Liveworksheet E-LKPD  based on a scientific approach. Critical thinking skills assessments, teacher interviews, and student response questionnaires were used as data collection techniques. The n-gain, normality test, homogeneity test, and independent sample t-test were used to assess critical thinking skills data. The questionnaire and interview data were analyzed descriptively in percentage form. The results revealed significant differences in critical thinking skills between students in the experimental and control groups (Sig. < 0.05). The learning process and teaching materials employed produce differences in students' critical thinking skills, students are not accustomed to working on critical thinking problems, and teachers have not maximized learning activities with the scientific approach.ABSTRAK: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran biologi di jenjang SMP melalui pemanfaatan E-LKPD dalam liveworksheet berbasis pendekatan saintifik. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pemberian tes kemampuan berpikir kritis, pelaksanaan wawancara guru, dan angket tanggapan siswa. Data kemampuan berpikir kritis dianalisis dengan n-gain, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji independen sampel t-test, sedangkan data angket dan wawancara dianalisis secara deskriptif dalam bentuk persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis yang nyata di antara siswa kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol (Sig. < 0,05). Perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa disebabkan oleh proses pembelajaran dan bahan ajar yang digunakan serta siswa belum terbiasa mengerjakan soal-soal berpikir kritis dan guru belum mengoptimalkan kegiatan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan saintifik.

  • Diversity of Termite Species Based on Building Age in Balik Bukit
           District, West Lampung – Lampung

      Abstract: Termites in nature operate as cellulose decomposers, giving vital ecosystem services to nature, but they may also inflict significant damage to building structures. The durability of the wood construction of the building decreases with age, and the possibility of termite infestation increases. This study is a descriptive-analytic study that uses quantitative research methodologies and a cross-sectional research design. The study was carried out between May and July 2022 in Balik Bukit District, West Lampung Regency - Lampung. Building data gathering techniques were used by delivering questionnaires to 100 building owners utilizing accidental sampling techniques. Termites were discovered at the age of the building of more than 26 years, with the finding of four types of termites, namely Macrotermes gilvus (Hagen), Bulbittermes constrictiformis (Holmgren), Schedorhinortermes mediobcorus (Holmgren), and Coptotermes gestroi (Wasmann).

Rayap di alam bertugas sebagai pengurai bahan selulosa, menyediakan jasa ekosistem yang berharga bagi alam, namun mereka juga dapat menyebabkan sejumlah besar kerusakan pada struktur bangunan. Semakin tua umur bangunan maka keawetan konstruksi kayu yang ada di dalamnya cenderung menurun dan potensi serangan rayap akan semakin meningkat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analisis deskriptif menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian cross sectional. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Mei – Juli 2022 di Kecamatan Balik Bukit, Kabupaten Lampung Barat – Lampung. Teknik pengumpulan data bangunan menggunakan teknik accidental sampling dengan menyebarkan kuesioner pada 100 bangunan. Titik ditemukan rayap adalah pada umur bangunan >26 tahun dengan ditemukannya empat jenis rayap yaitu Macrotermes gilvus (Hagen), Bulbitermes constrictiformis (Holmgren), Schedorhinortermes mediobcorus (Holmgren), Coptotermes gestroi (Wasmann)

      Abstract: This study aimed to see how students' critical thinking skills were applied after the Project-Based Learning model was applied. This research is experimental research with Two-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population of this research was of 216 students. The sampling technique used was a simple random sampling technique, 36 students for the experimental class and 36 for the control class. The instrument used is a test. The hypothesis testing using a t-test found that the tcount was higher than ttable (2,399>1,688). From the results of the analysis, it was found that there were significant differences in students' critical thinking skills with the Project-Based Learning model compared to the conventional model.

      Abstract: This research aims to discover the behavior patterns and benefits of the Fiddler Crab (Uca pugnax). This study was carried out in the Kuala Langsa Mangrove Forest Area, Aceh Province, between May and June 2022. This research aimed to look into the behavior and benefits of fiddler crabs for mangroves in Kuala Langsa. This study combined an exploratory, descriptive method using a survey methodology and direct field observation. The data was gathered in two stages: (1) Environmental adjustment stage to assess the state of seawater in Langsa City's Mangrove area. (2) The observation stage, in which the Fiddler crab's behavior patterns are observed. The research was carried out at three distinct places every two hours. According to the findings, there are male and female Fiddler crabs in varying quantities and types at each site, resulting in different activity patterns. Fiddler crabs (Uca pugnax) can be seen sunning, excavating holes and producing balls of sediment, carrying sediment balls out of their holes, and lifting and waving their claws to seek the attention of female Fiddler crabs.

      ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola tingkah laku dan manfaat Kepiting Fiddler (Uca pugnax). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dari bulan Mei dan Juni 2022 di kawasan Hutan Mangrove Kuala Langsa, Aceh. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat pola tingkah laku dan manfaat kepiting fiddler bagi tumbuhan Mangrove di Kuala Langsa. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini, yaitu metode Deskriptif Eksploratif dengan pendekatan survei serta observasi langsung ke lapangan. Pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui dua tahap: (1) Tahap penyesuaian lingkungan, untuk melihat keadaan air laut di kawasan Mangrove Kota Langsa. (2) Tahap Observasi, untuk mengamati polah tingkah laku darikepiting Fiddler (Uca pugnax). Penelitian dilakukan pada 3 stasiun yang berbedadi setiap 2 jam sekali. Dari hasil observasi, diketahui bahwa adanya kepiting Fiddler jantan dan kepiting Fiddler betina yang berbeda-beda jumlah dan jenisnya di setiap stasiun, sehingga menyebakan pola tingkah laku yang berbeda pula. Terlihat bahwa kepiting Fiddler (Uca pugnax) melakukan aktivitas keluar dan masuk dari lubangnya, berjemur, menggali lubang dan membentuk bola-bola dari sedimen, mengangkut bola-bola sedimen keluar dari lubangnya, serta mengangkat dan melambaikan capit untuk menarik perhatian kepiting Fiddler betina.

      Abstract: This study aimed to find out how dicotyledonous medicinal plants were used in the Wailaboha Forest, Central Sumba Regency, and to use the research findings as a learning resource in the form of an encyclopedia. The descriptive quantitative technique was utilized. The subjects of this study were all dicotyledonous plants identified in the Hutan Wailaboha Kecamatan Umbu Ratu Nggay region. The samples in this study were dicotyledonous medicinal plants collected utilizing purposive sampling techniques at each research location. The double plot approach and observation plots were utilized to collect data in this investigation. This study's data analysis techniques were Relative Density, Relative Frequency, Significance Index, and Shannon-Wiener Diversity Index. At the same time, the validation team, including the head of MGMP and biology teachers in Central Sumba, assessed learning resources. The encyclopedia validation test yielded 98% for validator I, 89% for validator II, and 75% for validator III. This value suggests that the encyclopedia is usable and can help with learning.

      ABSTRAK:. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan tumbuhan obat dikotil di Hutan Wailaboha Kabupaten Sumba Tengah dan menjadikan hasil penelitian sebagai sumber belajar dalam bentuk Ensiklopedia. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Subyek penelitian ini terdiri dari semua jenis tumbuhan dikotil yang terdapat dikawasan Hutan Wailaboha Kecamatan Umbu Ratu Nggay . Sampel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari tumbuhan obat dikotil yang terdapat di setiap stasiun penelitian dengan menggunakan teknik purpose sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode petak ganda dan plot pengamatan. Teknik analisis data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Relative Density, Relative Frequency, Significance Index, dan Shannon-Wiener Diversity Index sedangkan penilaian sumber belajar dilakukan oleh tim validasi yaitu ketua MGMP dan guru-guru biologi di Sumba Tengah. Hasil uji validasi ensiklopedia oleh validator I yaitu 98%, validator II sebesar 89%, dan validator III sebesar 78,5%. Nilai tersebut menunjukkan bahwa ensiklopedia layak digunakan dan dapat menunjang proses pembelajaran.

  • Increasing Student Learning Outcomes In Environmental Pollution Learning
           Material By Utilizing Waste as a Hidden Curriculum

      Abstract: This study aims to explain student learning activities and compare the learning outcomes of experimental and control classes on environmental pollution materials. The study was carried out at SMA N 1 Plumbon classes X MIPA 1 and X MIPA 2. This study's research design is an experimental design of this design in the form of a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The data for this study was gathered through observations and tests. Because of the high category, the findings showed increased student learning activities, with an average score of 70.72%. There were substantial variations in student learning results in the experimental class, which used waste as a hidden curriculum and obtained an average score of N-Gain of 0.51 medium criteria, compared to the control class, which obtained an average score of N-Gain of 0.28 low criteria. The obtained significance value was 0.030, which is lower than 0.05, it is conclude that using waste as a hidden curriculum can increase student learning outcomes and activities.

      ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas belajar siswa dan menganalisis perbedaan hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol pada materi pencemaran lingkungan. Penelitian dilakukan di SMA N 1 Plumbon kelas X MIPA 1 dan X MIPA 2. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah experimental design desain ini dalam bentuk Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Penelitian ini menggunakan observasi dan tes sebagai metode pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukan peningkatan aktivitas pembelajaran siswa, dengan nilai rata-rata 70,72% berkategori tinggi. Terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang signifikan pada siswa kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan pembelajaran dengan pemanfaatan sampah sebagai hidden curriculum diperoleh nilai rata-rata N-Gain 0,51 kriteria sedang, dengan kelas kontrol nilai rata-rata N-Gain 0,28 kriteria rendah. Nilai signifikansi yang diperoleh 0,030<0,05, disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pemanfaatan sampah sebagai hidden curriculum dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan aktivitas belajar siswa.

  • Development of Printed Module of Plants Structure Materials and Its
           Technology-Based Utilization on The Eighth-Grade Cross Puzzles at Smp
           Negeri 35 Pekanbaru

      Abstract: This research aims to create teaching materials for plant tissue structure materials in the form of printed scientific modules for use in class VIII crossword-based technology. The research model used is the ADDIE research and development model. During the trial, data were collected using a questionnaire (Likert Scale). This study's population was the eighth-grade students, which comprised six classes at SMP Negeri 35 Pekanbaru in semester one of the 2022/2023 school year. In this investigation, one class of 30 samples was used to determine the sample. The findings of the superficial module expert's assessment of the feasibility of printed modules based on crosswords attained a percentage score of 96.875% with a very valid category. The results of the educator's reaction to the print module achieved a percentage score of 93.75% with a fascinating category, and the results of the student response achieved a percentage score of 87.75% with a very interesting category, implying that product development was practicable to use.

      ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar berupa modul cetak IPA untuk bahan struktur jaringan tanaman dan penggunaannya dalam teknologi berbasis teka-teki silang kelas VIII. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan model ADDIE. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner (Skala Likert) pada saat persidangan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah VIII yang terdiri dari 6 kelas di SMP Negeri 35 Pekanbaru pada semester 1 tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Untuk menentukan sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 1 kelas yang terdiri dari 30 sampel. Hasil penilaian ahli modul superfisial terhadap kelayakan bahan ajar berupa modul cetak berdasarkan teka-teki silang mencapai skor persentase 96,875 % dengan kategori sangat valid. Hasil respon pendidik terhadap modul cetak mencapai skor persentase 93,75 % dengan kategori sangat menarik dan hasil respon siswa mencapai skor persentase 87,75% dengan kategori sangat berminat, sehingga disimpulkan produk pengembangan layak digunakan.

  • Analysis of Laboratory Carrying Capacity in Supporting Biology Learning in
           State Madrasah Aliyah

      Abstract: The study objectives are to 1) characterize the state of laboratory carrying capacity, 2) analyze laboratory utilization, and 3) identify the challenges and solutions to laboratory carrying capacity utilization. The descriptive qualitative research method was used. According to the research findings, the carrying capacity of laboratories in MAN A was in a moderate category with an average of 56%, MAN B was in a moderate category with an average of 58,5%, and MAN C was in a high category with an average of 65%. The overall carrying capacity of laboratories in MAN Cirebon was 59,8%. The use of laboratories to enhance biology learning has yet to be well implemented. The challenges in utilizing laboratory carrying capacity include inadequate facilities and infrastructure and ineffective management. The problem can be solved by submitting budget proposals to the principal and the school committee and requesting laboratory development funding support from the appropriate parties.

      ABSTRAK: Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu: 1) mendeskripsikan kondisi daya dukung laboratorium; 2) menganalisis pemanfaatan laboratorium; dan 3) mendeskripsikan kendala dan solusi yang dihadapi dalam pemanfaatan daya dukung laboratorium. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Tempat penelitian ini adalah di MAN A, MAN B, dan MAN C yang ada di wilayah Cirebon dengan subjek penelitian laboratorium dan guru biologi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik perhitungan deskriptif persentase. Hasil temuan diperoleh bahwa daya dukung laboratorium di MAN A berada dalam kategori cukup baik dengan rata-rata 56%, MAN B dengan kategori cukup baik memperoleh rata-rata 58,5%, dan MAN C memperoleh rata-rata 65% dengan kategori baik, sehingga secara keseluruhan daya dukung laboratorium di MAN Cirebon dalam kategori cukup baik dengan rata-rata 59,8%. Pemanfaatan laboratorium dalam menunjang pembelajaran biologi masih belum terlaksana dengan baik. Kendala yang dihadapi yaitu fasilitas laboratorium masih belum memenuhi standar sarana dan prasarana serta pengelolaan yang belum optimal. Solusinya dapat diatasi dengan mengadakan pengajuan kepada kepala sekolah dan komite sekolah untuk dilakukan penyusunan anggaran dan permohonan bantuan dana pengembangan laboratorium pada pihak terkait.

  • Diversity and Distribution of Spiders (Araneae) in the Galunggung Mountain
           Area

      Abstract: Spiders are classified as Anthrophoda, Arachnida, and Araneae. Spiders are classified into two types based on their life patterns: web-making and hunting, commonly known as trapdoor spiders. This study aimed to assess the diversity of spider distribution (Ordo Araneae) near Mount Galunggung. This study is quantitative. The VES (Visual Encounter Survey) method was utilized to collect data. 1) Gadobangkong waterfall, 2) Panoongan waterfall, and 3) Cimedang waterfall are the sampling places. This reseach gate 17 spesies spiders; Argiope aemula, Argiope anasuja, Leucauge celebesiana, Nephila pilipes, Oxyopes salticus, Nephilengys malabarensis, Tetragnatha Montana, Argiope appensa, Argiope catenulate, Cyrtophora moluccensis, Zotahpeventralis hasel, and Dolomedes vittalus were discovered. Leucauge celebesiana was the most frequent species discovered. Argiope catenulate, Tylorida ventralis, and Dolomedes vittalus were the least common. Each of which has only one individual.

      ABSTRAK: Laba–laba termasuk ke dalam filum Antrophoda, kelas Arachnida, dan Ordo Araneae. Berdasarkan pola hidupnya laba–laba terbagi menjadi laba–laba pembuat jaring dan laba- laba pemburu atau dikenal juga dengan laba-laba pintu jebakan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui diversitas dan distribusi laba-laba (Ordo Araneae) di sekitar Gunung Galunggung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif, Metode yang di gunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah metode VES (Visual Encounter Survey) yang dikombinasikan dengan petak kuadran. Adapun lokasi pengambilan sampel yaitu 1) Curug Gadobangkong, 2) Curug Panoongan, 3) Curug Cimedang. Hasil penelitian di peroleh 17 jenis laba – laba; Argiope aemula, Argiope anasuja, Leucauge celebesiana, Nephila pilipes, Oxyopes salticus, Nephilengys malabarensis, Tetragnatha Montana, Argiope appensa, Argiope catenulate, Cyrtophora moluccensissis, Macrachantha hasselti, Herennia multipuncata, Gasterachantaha kuhli, Tylorida ventralis, Argiope reinwardti, Zoropsis spinimana, Dolomedes vittalus. Jenis yang paling banyak di temukan adalah Leucauge celebesiana, dan yang paling sedikit di temukan Argiope catenulate, Tylorida ventralis, Dolomedes vittalus. Yang masing masih hanya ditemukan 1 individu.
