  • The Humanistic Education Model in Virtual Learning During Covid-19

    • Authors: Firman Mansir
      Pages: 1 - 11
Abstract: Humanistic education conceptually can build peace of mind and body to achieve the virtues of a learner's life. The perfection of this life can be directed to the development of personality that includes thinking, mental strength and creativity of students by developing patterns of individual human development. The concept of humanization and the nature of education is the element that can best distinguish humans by using their thoughts because this is a gift of reason that has been given by the creator. In addition, humans are free to use it through the learning process. This research used a qualitative approach and literature analysis as a method of data analysis. Thus, to respond to virtual learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, it is necessary to prioritize and apply education and methods that are better able to understand the human condition as learners. It is expected that through this process, general educational goals can be achieved and specific learning objectives can be realized.

    • Authors: Ratna Azis Prasetyo, Septi Ariadi, Suyanto Bagong, Sudarso Sudarso, Abd Hannan, Risca Yunike Putri
      Pages: 12 - 26
Abstract: Pandemi COVID-19 membawa efek domino bagi peningkatan angka kemiskinan Indonesia. Poverty Pressure for People with Social Welfare Problems (PMKS) During the Pandemic in Gresik RegencyThe COVID-19 pandemic has brought a domino effect to increase poverty rates. In Gresik Regency, the number of layoffs (PHK) and small businesses that went out of business added new poor people so the number of PMKS increased. This study intends to describe the poverty pressure experienced by PMKS during the COVID-19 pandemic and the appropriate handling strategy. The research method used is descriptive research by conducting structured interviews to 400 PMKS in Gresik Regency. The results of this study found that the poverty pressure carried out by PMKS during the COVID-19 pandemic was a reduction in savings and assets owned to meet their daily needs during the pandemic where they lost their jobs and the businesses they were engaged in experienced setbacks, difficulties in meeting the needs of life and family nutrition, increased debt to domestic disputes and the threat of children dropping out of school. The easiest survival strategy for PMKS is to make changes to consumption patterns, while help from relatives is relatively difficult to obtain and productive activities such as business diversification are also relatively difficult to do. The coping strategy that can be done is to empower PMKS, especially the productive age group, which aims not only to prevent the fading of PMKS' ability to help themselves but in the long term they can get out of the pressures of poverty they are experiencing.

  • Perubahan Ruang Kampung Kota menjadi Destinasi Wisata melalui Program
           Kampung Tematik

    • Authors: Rani Titis Sukowati
      Pages: 27 - 43
Abstract: Tujuan artikel ini mengkaji perubahan ruang kampung kota menjadi destinasi wisata dengan adanya program kampung tematik.
Thematic Village Program: The Problems of Changing Urban Village Spaces into Tourist DestinationsThe purpose of this article is to examine the change of urban kampung space into a tourist destination with the thematic kampung program. These changes were explored using the concepts of abstract space and Henri Lefebvre's social space which had not been used in the study of thematic kampung programs from previous literature studies. This article uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study research in three cities, namely Malang, Semarang, and Surakarta with the data source being digital paper. The results of the study of this article found that some thematic kampungs had not yet developed and might not be sustainable. Even though this program is expected to become a tourist destination, in reality there are still problematic thematic kampungs. The discontinuity of this thematic kampung refers to Lefebvre's concept of social space for residents where there are still residents who do not have awareness in developing their kampung, besides that the city government as an actor in abstract space in some cases still lacks support for kampung residents. So, if the city government wants to make thematic kampung a tourist destination, it is necessary to study each kampung further in seeing the potentials that exist in it, of course by combining ideas and concepts from residents.

  • Aktivisme Digital dalam Wacana Omnibus Law Struktur Jaringan dan Peranan
           Hashtag dalam Mobilisasi Opini Publik

    • Authors: Nora Titahning Ayudha
      Pages: 59 - 74
Abstract: Omnibus Law menjadi salah satu polemik terbesar dalam kalender sosial politik di tahun 2020. Digital Activism in the Omnibus Law Discourse Network Structure and the Role of Hashtags in Mobilizing Public OpinionThe Omnibus Law is one of the biggest polemics in the socio-political calendar in 2020. For its supporters, the ratification of the Omnibus Law is an entry point for investment in Indonesia, while the opposition believes that this policy has a negative impact on exploiting natural resources and labor. This study focuses on the network structure, both social and textual, that was formed during the Omnibus Law discourse and the work of Hashtags within the framework of digital activism. This research combines descriptive qualitative research with Social Network Analysis (SNA) and Textual Network Analysis  (TNA) methods with Netlytic software in collecting data and Wordji and Gephi. Data collection was carried out during September 26 to October 3 and received 1521 tweets. The results of this study indicate that civil organizations and socio-political activists are the dominant actors in voicing the public interest. The Hashtag #batalkanomnibuslaw became the most dominant phrase. Various Hashtags that show rejection of the ratification of the Omnibus Law have also become phrases that dominate in several conversations. Influential actors state that Hashtags are reducing the information complexity and need to be combined with direct organization in the real world so that it can influence public policy.
