Authors:Jessica Alexandra Calo Gómez, Diego Vera Solorzano Abstract: Nowadays it is of vital importance to reduce the generation of greenhouse gas emissions. Given the problem of climate change, which has led to seek solutions globally, involving environmental and economic issues, opening the market for carbon credits and green bonds. The main objective of this research was to evaluate carbon bonds as an alternative for the development of the Las Damas, Alluriquín, Santo Domingo area. Based on this, a mixed approach was used, the type of research, bibliographic and field, whose methods were inductive-deductive and historical-logical, with a non-experimental-transversal design, using the documentary review and the survey to collect the information. From the findings, it became evident that the population is unaware of the environmental services provided by the forest and carbon credits. It is concluded that one option is forestry projects through sustainable cattle ranching developing Clean Development Mechanism. Authors:Marco Esteban Morales Rojas, Amairani Lucelly Ceh Alvarado, Didier Francisco Aké Canul, Sheila Mariela Cohuo Cob, Maricela Balam Gómez Abstract: The available literature shows quantitative studies on the management of antibiotics; however, few investigations describe the perceptions and experiences of family caregivers with a qualitative approach. To explore the perceptions of family caregivers who manage antibiotic medications at home. Qualitative, descriptive scope and cross section. The information was collected through semi-structured interviews with caregivers with relatives who have a chronic degenerative disease, and without studies related to health care. Antibiotics have limitations at the time of access, which influences the storage that families have in their homes, the storage characteristics lie on the site and not in the container. Caretakers do not check expiration dates; medicines are discarded without established measures. The perceptions of caregivers in rural contexts differ from those in the urban context. Caregivers participate in the medication management process and recognize that they can improve their practices, therefore, the perceptions of access, storage, use, and disposal are necessary for improvement proposals. Authors:Jinelly Anaí Asanza Cedeño, Arturo Andrés Hernández Escobar Abstract: Environmental education is one of the best tools for the identification of problems related to pollution that affect the well-being of living beings and for the search of solutions for each case, and taking into account aptitudes and attitudes of respect for the same. In congruence with the above, the research whose results are presented here was developed with the objective of supporting the implementation of a training plan aimed at the inhabitants of the Miguelillo-Portoviejo site to face the risks of landslides and floods. For the execution of the study, the application of theoretical scientific methods (analysis and synthesis and induction and deduction) was used, which facilitated the evaluation of the information gathered through empirical methods such as observation and support techniques such as interviews and surveys. With the data recorded in the study, it was possible to demonstrate the lack of knowledge on environmental issues possessed by the residents. In conclusion, it has been considered that systematic training actions provide benefits in the presence of natural disasters and their response to these events, so it is important to provide constant training for the inhabitants. Authors:Ember Geovanny Zumba Novay, Maritza G. Méndez-Ortega Abstract: The introduction of digital tools and resources arises as a response to technological advances, but to develop an adequate technological education it is not enough to introduce digital resources, but also to educate and develop the digital competencies of teachers and students. Currently, digital competencies are considered enablers of the knowledge society and both students and teachers should consider their participation in virtual environments as a development opportunity. The present study analyzed the digital competencies of 50 teachers of the Polytechnic School of Chimborazo (ESPOCH) in their pedagogical praxis. The survey technique was applied with a non-probabilistic purposive sampling method using the questionnaire as an instrument. The main results showed that there is an inverse relationship between the age of teachers and the use of ICT. However, teachers are able to create their own digital content and educational resources especially those with a working experience between 1 to 5 years and between 6 to 10 years. This study concludes and recommends continuous training of teachers in the use of ICT to improve their teaching-learning process. Authors:Xavier Enrique Chinga Cevallos, Rodrigo Paul Cabrera Verdesoto Abstract: This study allowed us to analyze, through a quantitative and qualitative perspective with a systemic approach taking as a reference the methodology of the Pan American Center for Environmental Health C.E.P.I.S. evaluating, through the application of a survey whose study population was 1.536 inhabitants in 246 houses, structured according to the approach of the Manual of statistical procedures for the studies of solid waste characterization CEPIS (HDT 97), allowing us to determine a waste production of 0.26Kg/per/day with a non-compacted waste density of 119.21 Kg/m3, such as food waste 34.49%, plastics 14.91%, special waste 11.44%, cardboard 9.77%, paper 7.47%, metallic 3.63%, wood waste 2.88%, cardboard 9.77%, paper 7.47%, metal 3.63%, wood waste 2.88% and wood waste 2.88%, The survey showed that 80% of the population is aware of the importance of good waste management and thus contribute to the environment by generating management strategies based on good waste management habits from generation to final disposal.
