  • Questionnaire Designing on the Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Model: A Pilot
Study in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

    • Authors: Nguyen Huu Khanh Quan, Premkumar Rajagopal
      Pages: 1 - 9
Abstract: Vietnam’s pharmaceutical industry has the potential to create value for the nation. Impact of the COVID-19 epidemic in Vietnam's pharmaceutical industry. This study was conducted on a pilot scale, and we did develop a questionnaire that was sent to pharmacists working in different hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City. This study aimed to create a questionnaire to explore those criteria given the importance of the hospital pharmaceutical supply chain. A well-designed and original questionnaire from which the researcher can conduct a large-scale formal survey. This study targeted a small group of diseases in Ho Chi Minh City. We developed a questionnaire for pharmacists working in the department pharmacy of the hospital and collected responses accordingly. As a result, we have identified and built a questionnaire with 45 observed variables. The study showed that the acceptance level of the observed variables reached the Cronbach's Alpha confidence level above 0.7 and the Corrected Item - Total Correlation value of the accepted observed variable over 0.3. Research results with the absolute value of factor loading above 0.5 are optimal, and the observed variables are statistically significant. This study has identified the observed variables for the factors of the theoretical framework. The study results can establish a measurement for further quantitative research with an expanded research scope in the future.

  • Supply Chain Performance Measurement Framework For State-Owned Entities in
           South Africa

    • Authors: Intaher Marcus Ambe, Rebecca Setino, Ellsworth Chouncey Jonathan
      Pages: 17 - 34
Abstract: State-Owned Entities in South Africa remain the major contributor toward socio-economic objectives, the bottom line, quality, value creation and cost savings. Although the National Treasury's Office of the Chief Procurement Officer monitors and evaluates supply chain performance, there is inefficient guidance on executing supply chain performance measurements in state-owned entities. Therefore, this paper aims to suggest a supply chain performance framework suitable for State-Owned Entities in South Africa. The manuscript employs a theoretical literature review on supply chain performance measurement systems and associated metrics. Further study using mixed methods or qualitative research is recommended to understand better the connection between supply chain strategy, SCM regulatory frameworks, SCM practices, and SCM effectiveness. The paper presents a framework that adequately implements supply chain performance measurement in state-owned entities. The study's main limitation was that it was restricted to SOEs registered with the SOEPF; more extraordinary samples from various SOEs would have been ideal. It is recommended that supply chain managers in state-owned entities carefully select supply chain performance measures.

  • Designing a Model to Measure Customer Satisfaction for Municipality
           Services in Iran

    • Authors: Hamid Reza Fooladgar, Abbas Saghaee
      Pages: 39 - 48
Abstract: One of the most crucial changes which occurred in the domain of improvement of quality in the last decade of the 20th Century was the introduction of a system to measure the level of customer satisfaction as one of the main requirements or components of quality management services for entire business institutions and agencies. The objective of this study is to design and constitute a system capable of measuring the rate of satisfaction among customers which in particular can be applied in municipalities. The statistical pool of the current research is divided in two groups: First, are university professors and experts qualified. Second, are municipalities customers. The method of data collection determined for the first group was non-probability and random sampling and the scope and limitation of this data was specified through the application of the central limit theorem. The sampling method used for the second group was random regional sampling through the application of the proportional distribution method. Hypotheses testing was carried out by applying tests of variations analysis, analysis of the confirmatory factor and structural equation modelling using SPSS, LISREL and PLS software. Conclusion of the study indicates a significant, positive impact of processes involving services offered by the city (municipality) the perceived quality of services. In addition, the significant and positive impact of the concept of quality service an average customer conceives regarding the perceived level of service quality is also confirmed. Furthermore, the significant and positive impact of a mutual comprehension of the effect of quality on customer satisfaction has been confirmed and it has also been verified that the range of customer expectations has a direct significant and positive impact on the level of customer satisfaction. Finally, the role of a significant and positive impact on customer satisfaction in promoting customer trust has also been confirmed.
