  • Omar Schiliro: artesano de la alegría

    • Authors: Francisco Lemus

Asynchrony and Chrononormativity. Notes on the Idea of Queer Temporality AbstractIn this article I analyze the idea of queer temporality, I trace some of its theoretical precedents, I identify its most fundamental features and contributions, I stress some of its limitation and tensions, I explore its links with previous queer notions and, finally, I suggest what new directions in queer studies this notion promises. In order to do this, I  read the idea of queer temporality alongside a series of insights by philosophers of temporality external to queer studies (Reinhart Koselleck, Johannes Fabian, Preston King, among others). Keywords: queer temporality; anachronism; asynchrony; chrononormativity.

    • Authors: Eduardo Mattio, Cristian Alejandro Darouiche
Against relational poverty:homosexual culture and creation of life forms AbstractThis article aims to contribute to a critical reflection, from a queer perspective, on regulatory frameworks governing gay sociability, in a horizon marked by a high degree of homonormativization that privileges certain marital ways of life in detriment of others clearly dissidents. This state of things, not only produces harmful effects on other legitimate demands of the LGBT movement, but limits its capacity for transformation. Our work is part of a framework of analysis that, recovering the contributions made by Foucault in interviews and short writings of the '80s, links the homosexual culture with the creation of new life forms, or better, with an ethic of concern of self that involves exploring new pleasures and configuration of alternative affective bonds. Retrieving the queer analysis that David Halperin offers of such texts, we emphasize the ethical and political potential that the creation of certain forms of life outside the heteronormative expectations, and so we propose a new relational mapping that allows live and resist regulatory scenarios that represent the new “inclusive” society paradigms, normative matrix that is affine to an institutionalized gay movement, devoid of genuine political repertoire of demands and claims. Keywords: Michel Foucault, Homosexuality, Gay Sociability, Married, Queer.

    • Authors: Camila Arbuet Osuna, Valentín E. Ibarra
Devices and formats of desire in Queer Theory AbstractWe are used to thinking of desire, in the same way as power, as a link; a link that, as C. Pateman has highlighted, cannot be reduced to a contractual fact between equal parts, but rather it lives, reproduces and diversifies due to the difference (symbolic, material, political, signical) and to the power games of its parts. The fact upon which the queer theory has shed light is that, along with the financial capital, technological and postpornographic transformations (and with the same enabling and destructive double side) desire production has been dramatically modified; amplifying, mutating and branching its commodities consumption formats (as a product and a social relationship): pleasure.Pleasure, as massive commodity consumption, has altered its means of circulation, its administration ways and, therefore, the very (re)presentation of intervening bodies –as D. Haraway and B. P. Preciado have shown–. The present work aims at reviewing some of the features of these new sets of formats in charge of capturing, amplifying and selling pleasure, having in mind how queer theory has decodified this development as part of a new desire (re) production matrix. Keywords: queer; pleasure; desire; device; format.

Palabras clave: Erotopía – grupo de Bloomsbury – diversidades sexuales – familia   Tribute to Bloomsbury AbstractIn this article, I consider the Bloombsbury group as an erotopy and as an intellectual group allowing to question and think alternative forms of community, family and marriage. At the same time, the principles of love without possession, the exchange of lovers and identities and the passionate pacifism of its members open the way to think over the possibilities of sex as resistance. Keywords: Erotopy –Bloomsbury group – sexual diversities – family

Or on Queer Pasts as Present Challenges. Abstract:One of the most productive perspectives deployed by queer theory in the last years refers to the liaison established between the affective turn and queer temporality: the temporal dislocation that impacts on subjectivity results from affects, but also generates them. This paper focuses on a specific conceptual effect of such liaison: the possible re-signifying power of the idea of “hope” when capable of illuminating the way queer theory deals with its past. It has been established that the notion of “hope” (Bloch, Rorty) involves giving account of an affective matrix pierced by anxiety (Ngai ) aimed at the future. The main argument of this article consists of claiming that such temporal dislocation enables thinking “hope” also as past- oriented. It also implies an attempt for bringing to light its consequences on the scrutiny of past oppressions –that are also current oppressions- thanks to the analysis of a revealing example: the photographic archive Sincerely Queer by Sébastien Lifshitz, where the possibility of finding in the past what is unexpected, unthinkable and dislocated expresses such present hopes. Keywords: hope- temporality- queer- affect- history

Pleasure and sexual autonomy: a study on the knowledge and use of the female condom in university womenAbstractBased on the research regarding the knowledge and use of the female condom we discuss within the thematic field of sexualities. Departing from a conception of pleasure and questioning the repressive perspective of sex we reach evidence of changes in the sexual practices and representations concerning sexuality, therefore building sexual autonomy in women.Key words:  pleasure; sexual autonomy; sexuality; female condom

    • Authors: Daniel Inojosa Bravo
Palabras claves: individualismo-religión de lo privado-liberalismo  Carl Schmitt: individualism, religion of the private and crisis of the StateAbstractThis article seeks to Carl Schmitt's critique of the anti-political character of liberalism from the relationship between individualism and religion of the private. Thus, if the Weberian thesis on the particular link between Protestantism and capitalism influences Schmitt, the truth is that the ascription of this to Catholicism and theological-political perspective leads him to draw all possible consequences in order to emphasize the individualistic stamp Protestantism precursor of bourgeois liberalism. This process results in the anti-political pathos of liberalism that is hostile to the State from the spheres of morality and the economy, or from aesthetics as it appears in romanticism. Schmitt processes to conclude the inevitable fact that the Entseelung empty of meaning to politics and consolidating the era of technology. In this way, mutual involvement between religion of the private, liberalism and capitalism has resulted in the final decline of the State.Key words: individualism-religion of the private-liberalism

Palabras clave: Foucault, Marx, derecho, disciplinas, forma jurídica Foucault (and Marx): elements for a critique of legal formAbstract:The problem of the relation between the juridical form and non-juridical practices may be answer by posting the first as either an illusionary form that exists only to cover other practices or as gradually disappearing form that would be replace by new power mechanisms. Marx and Foucault can be each associated with one of these solutions. This problem will be made to emerge from the foucauldian genealogy of the individual as an effect rather that the foundation of power, in order to map the multiple, but not necessarily conjugable, forms in which is thought: the opposition between the ideal subject of the juridico-political discourse and the concrete subjected individual of the disciplinary technique, the disciplinary or governmental mechanisms that seems to take the place of the juridical form, the function of disciplines as counter-right and of right in covering up the disciplinary power. Finally, the article concludes by laying out the symmetry in both Foucault and Marx treatment of the persistence of the juridical form, both of which seem to open up the possibility of reframe it as a particular form, internal to a field of differentially effective practices of subjection, beyond the statement of its mere ideological functionality. Keywords: Foucault, Marx, rights, disciplines, juridical form
