Wave Profile Investigation of the Higher Dimensional Nonlinear Evolution
Equation through Nonlinear Auxiliary Equation

  Abstract: In this article, more general and many new travelling wave solutions have been constructed through new extension of the (G′/G)-expansion method which is known as new generalized (G′/G)-expansion method. The key idea of this technique is to take full advantage of a higher ordinary nonlinear differential equation that has five different general solutions. The presentation of the travelling wave solutions is quite new and additional parameters are also used in the solution form. To illustrate the novelty and efficiency of this method, the (3+1)-dimensional Kadomstev-Petviashvili equation is desired to be investigated. The obtained solutions reveal the wider applicability to handle higher-dimensional nonlinear problems which arising in mathematical physics.

Log Normal Distribution Approach for Forecasting the Spread of Covid-19 in
Nigeria

  Abstract: The Nigeria National Weekly Covid-19 confirmed cases were used in this study work to anticipate the predicted number of cases by Lagos and Abuja areas using the log normal distribution technique. Using trend analysis, this study was able to determine the trend component in both Lagos and Abuja Covid-19 confirmed cases (i.e. Quadratic Trend). According to the findings, the number of confirmed cases of covid-19 increased at the start of the pandemic before starting to decline slightly as the number of cases increased in both areas on the Nigeria National Weekly Covid-19 report each week. The distribution of Covid-19 confirmed cases in both locations was then modelled using the quadratic trend, which was found to be appropriate. For simple examination of the expected (average) distribution and variation of both FCT and Lagos on the Nigeria National Weekly Covid-19 confirmed cases, log-normal distribution techniques were converted to a quadratic form. The results showed that the Nigeria National Weekly Covid-19 confirmed cases in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) had an expected value of 27 cases per week, while the Lagos State Covid-19 confirmed cases had an expected value of 19 cases per week. Additionally, this study established a mathematical relationship between the Nigeria National Weekly Confirmed cases and the FCT and Lagos COVID-19 confirmed cases. This was accomplished by constructing their mathematical functions for forecasting purposes: probability density function and cumulative density function. It was also able to predict the anticipated pandemic cases of both FCT and Lagos on the Nigeria National Weekly Covid-19 cases and established a quadratic trend for both FCT and Lagos on the Nigeria National Weekly Covid-19 confirmed cases (NWC).

Identifying Patient Benefits of a Novel Tool in Routine Prenatal Care: An
Exploratory Factor Analysis Approach

  Abstract: To address the need for cost-of-care conversations in prenatal care, the CONTINUE (cost conversations in routine prenatal care) study was conducted with prenatal patients to better understand the benefits of implementing a cost-of-care conversation “cost” tool into routine obstetrics (OB) care. This research team conducted a multi-phase, mixed-methods research study to identify 18 target benefits of a cost tool to initiate and standardize cost-of-care conversation and, subsequently, developed and validated a cost tool. The novel cost tool was piloted and data pertaining to target benefits were collected through interviews and surveys. To assess the cost tool’s utility, data from interviews and surveys were unified and exploratory factor analysis was performed to classify the underlying factor structure of the 18 benefit item responses. Data includes patients’ self-reported ratings of benefit items, as collected from third trimester prenatal patient participants who received the tool at the beginning of their prenatal care in three midwestern-based hospital clinics within one healthcare system. The present study details the factor analysis approach used to identify the three final factors that emerged from the data representing prenatal patients benefits of utilizing a cost tool. This analysis provides a framework for exploring patient-specific predictors of experiencing identified benefits (i.e. factors) of a novel cost tool incorporated into routine OB care.
